Love my new pour over! After decades of capsule coffee use, I had forgotten what coffee should taste like. The first impression taking the machine out of the box was the high quality of the materials and the fit of the components. Looks beautiful on the counter. Sleek and contemporary. I’ll never go back to another another way of enjoying my morning coffee.
I prefer pour-over to other styles of brewing coffee, and this carafe and filter combo looked exactly like what I was looking for. And it was, for a while. I could tell as soon as I opened the box that the carafe is awkward and extremely fragile. At six weeks it broke when it got bunked by a jar while it sat in the sink. It was one part my fault and two parts the carafe’s thin glass. The good side is I keep the filter, which makes excellent coffee. I use it now with a French-press-style beaker, a much sturdier alternative. The coffee is just as fine as with the original carafe, so no regrets
Easy to fill, easy to clean, easy to use. I’ve been using the cold brew maker for 2 weeks now and my coffee tastes great and the filter is easy to remove to fill or to clean. Jar is easy to pour and has a nicely fitting lid
The unit shipped to me is clearly a refurbished unit with a 90 day warranty not the product advertised. It also had a dent in it - so not refurbished very well! Buyers be careful.
At first we were going to return it. I would use a K-cup and would have grounds in my cup something awful. Did a little research and found that if I pressed the k-cup down firmly along the edges it would settle better in place when I would float the lid and do not have coffee grounds. I was happy they worked because if not I was shipping it back. There are 3 needles that puncture the top but only one hole to filter coffee through so I don’t think it punctures the bottom big enough to allow the water going in to go out as fast this causing the K-cup to overflow. By pushing the cup down firmly first it seems to have eliminated that issue. It also may depend on the brand of “k-cup” you use. As far as the rest….LOVE IT. I have a smaller model than this in our RV. For whatever reason I seem to like the coffee flowing to the bottom through their little cyclone tunnel thing. Probably just me. It probably serves no real purpose. LOL I kinda dislike the the lever to shut off the drip feature if you want a cup NOW! I do understand it though. It quits pouring water into the coffee filter so you don’t have a pool of coffee sitting in the grounds. Just takes a little getting use to. The water coming out is H-O-T! It will burn your lips and tongue. That is remarkable. Our Keurig did not produce that hot of coffee. The reason we bought this was because, 1) we like “K-Cups” 2) But for the work days we need/REALLY like programming our pot. 3) We like the Ninja name brand. 4) I LOVE the side water reservoir. I don’t have to fill the machine EVERY time for coffee. We bought the Keurig Duo for $40 around Black Friday 2021 from Walmart, BUT was disappointed with the lack of programming. We also have a Hamilton Beach coffee maker tower(?) the coffee is made and sits in a carafe on a heating plate and you push a button for a cup of coffee (think like a fountain pop/soda). And we liked that one, but it doesn’t do k-cups and I was tired of two different machines taking up space. I would recommend and would buy another if need be. Unless this breaks less than 2 months in then of course I wouldn’t buy another one like this.
This machine is great but if you are planning to use the carafe rarely and mainly use it for single brewing Keurig cups, then you will have this mess continually. I am hoping to return it because I am so tired of having to clean up all of the splatters every day. You can’t have anything close by. We bought it so that when the in-laws come in they can have a bunch of coffee and we don’t use it very often with the main pot. The machine itself seems great but they need to have a device that raises up your single cup.
I've bought them all, this is the Superior Turkish Coffee Maker. All the other machines can overflow, but this unit never will. I thought it was using a different material on the inner pot, but the steel is wrapped. It's also the only unit I found that has a spinner inside the pot. Just the weight of the pot let's you know it's got so much more going on then all the other machines. I use to own the big expensive Okka as well, but this is even better than that model. I can repeat cooking the same pot of Turkish Coffee to my hearts content. I can determine water level. I can put in Hot Water from my Bottled Water Cooler and it never boils over, something all the other Turkish Coffee machines did. This Model is smart enough to know the temperature of what's in the pot and adjust accordingly. Worry Free, Customizable Easy to Clean 🧽 I pour it over frothed milk and make a Turkish Latte Every Morning.
This was the perfect size for small space I have. Design is good and easy to use.
I live how easy the machine is to use- it does everything at a push of a button to make the coffee.
With the Chemex Pour Over you are buying a classic design that just works. The design has not changed in decades,I guess you could really say "if it ain't broke, why fix it?". In addition to the Chemex I recommend getting a kettle, a scale to weight your coffee & water, and going to a local coffee shop where you can buy freshly roasted coffee. Coffee must be ground properly to ensure that there is no over/under extraction. Look up James Hoffmann on youtube for a good recipe/starting guide for the Chemex. He will point you in the right direction. Would buy again, would recommend to a friend.
"Like new" my @$$. The top is completely busted and it leaks! Would be nice otherwise if it wasn't broken. It was exactly what I was looking for,
So I just got this new pour over coffee maker. I go car camping all the time and have tried so many different coffee options. And I have yet to find one that I want to stick with. This may be a winner. I love how the pour over piece twists on, so not to be easily knocked over. I love that it comes with a drip base. I love that it does not stack absurdly high as the pour over twists back down to be stored. And I love that the top is leak proof and the seal is not so easy to come undone. It makes great coffee (still working on adjusting the correct amount to use). And also love that using a paper filter makes for easier car camping clean up. As for keeping the drink hot. I do not know yet.
I bought this in May, I love it. But, the seam on the filter is coming apart and the coffee is getting inside filter and in my coffee. I cannot find any filter replacements! So frustrated, it's only been a few months!!
Making filter coffee is great, with multiple size selections which is handy depending on how much you need. The only negative aspect of the coffee maker is the K-Cup adaptor. For us folks who try to be environmentaly friendly, the K-cup adapter is exclusively for the plastic K-Cups and not for compostable K-Cups such as San Francisco Bay K-Cups. When using none plastic K-Cups, coffee is splattered all over the counter.
Nice Expresso...the coffee come out with such a strong flavor that you can used twice to get more coffee out of the machine
