Handle came off by itself, This’s my second bad experience with company
I followed the instruction and when I went to pour . No foam came out . Didn't work at all for me. Returning instantly.
I sent an email to [email protected] asking for help or a replacement for my coffee maker I bought less than a year ago. Recently, Anytime I press the brew button it trips the electrical circuit in my kitchen. I tried the coffee machine on 3 different circuits in my house and every time, they tripped and I had to reset the breaker box/outlet. I emailed Smeg a second time with hopes to hear back from them. I hate not having a coffee maker. I brought this one specifically to match my pink Smeg toaster. It worked well for several months and I thoroughly loved it but after this happened with no changes to how I used my coffee maker or changes morning habits, this happened. I wouldn’t be unhappy if the company got back to me but this is very frustrating.
Supernice. Easy to clean..
this cold brew bottle has a very large filter for coffee grounds and the glass is such high-quality. It looks great in my fridge as an additional beverage to have on hand when guests are over. I typically brew time this overnight so my husband can have cold brew for the week during our meal prep. I have also used this for tea, to make a large iced tea!
I use it in my classroom. I like the taste of the coffee. You have to use the coffee pad/pods.
Me and my husband really like this French press in general, we’ve broken so many glass ones that we were excited to have this one. While it’s great, and definitely keeps the coffee at a hotter temperature, I’m disappointed that we’ve only had it for a couple of weeks and already the paint is coming off. It’s a very thin layer of copper colored paint or lacquer on top of the stainless steel press. Giving it four stars because I really like it other than the fact that it already looks like crap!
HORRIBLE!!!! I didn't use hot water so don't start with me on that. I literally went to twist the top on the FIRST USE and I wasn't twisting it hard or anything!!! The jar completely shattered!!! Worthless!!! Not even one use!!! COMPLETE WASTE OF MONEY DO NOT BUY!!!!!!!!!!!
Very surprised by this compact yet very functional pour-over coffee dripper. After experimenting a few times to get the grind and grind/water ratio perfect for my taste, its so easy to use and makes a much stronger coffee than I expected! You can either use the full drop method, where you open the filter with one simple slide of a button and it will drip through your coffee grinds. Or you can choose to let it soak - by closing the filter and letting the grinds steep in the water a bit before opening it and allowing the water to drain. Either way, it made me a good, strong cup of coffee in record time! Great for making a single cup of coffee on the go - I plan to use it on an upcoming solo cross-country trip as is so easy to use that I cant imagine anything else would be more convenient. Simple drop in a filter, put in your grinds, pour in hot water and that's it! Let it steep or drain and you're ready to drink! Very happy with it!
I bought the 4-qt cold brew dispenser and really like it...easy to use and I would recommend it for sure
The base that was shipped to me came without a thread for the feet so the whole tower just tips over and is completely unusable. Their website has NO support link. I had to find an email address that is for product questions to tell them. The packaging is impossible to put back together and they require the product “in its original packaging to return”. Do not buy this product.
Hands down, the best coffee maker I've ever owned. Simple and straight forward, with the easiest brewing delay timer EVER! Press "timer", press the up or down arrows until you reach your desired time, then press start. It brews a perfect pot. It is simple and has not required a descaling yet, unlike some of our more recent coffee makers that were so prone to scaling that despite descaling every month or so, they still clogged up. Oh, and the carafe keeps coffee hot for hours. No more burnt, gas station coffee in this house. This coffee maker is worth every penny.
I bought this one for the glass carafe which I prefer to the thermal carafe. The build quality is great and the features are many. It comes with a gold tone basket filter and also has a cone adapter (#4) that snaps into the brew basket. The cone adapter did not come with a gold tone filter, so you need to either purchase one or use a paper filter. I had read some reviews on it that initially made me hesitant to buy it, but I am glad I finally bought it. One of the chief complaints was water left in the bottom of the reservoir. When I first unboxed the machine and set it up, I ran a tank of water through it as instructed, and it left about a quarter of an inch in the bottom. I repeated that step 3 times with the same result. I mopped it out with a paper towel except for a small recess in the center that leads to the pump. (The directions said that it needs a small amount of water to prime the pump so you don't burn it up) I decided to brew a full pot and see if this was going to be a problem. After the first brew, it only left water in the small recess at the center bottom like the instructions said. I used the gold cup standard setting (SCAA) and it brewed the full 60oz very quickly. Not only is this machine fast, but it brews a hot tasty cup of coffee. Consistency is what this machine is all about. This is one thing that I have been having a problem with at home with other brewers I have had. This machine will even do a cold brew. It has many pre programmed settings, but you can also customize your own settings as well. It is very easy to clean. The shower head has a threaded retainer, and you can take it off and rinse it clean. Just be sure to read the manual and go through all the settings so you are familiar with all the features (there are many). It has a fast brew setting as well. You will love how fast this machine is. Enjoy your purchase, you won't regret it. Edit: Nearly 5 years later. I added some pictures for a brewer that is used at least 5 days a week for about 5 years. I noticed some negative ratings that made me laugh a bit. Somebody doesn't know how to clean a coffee machine. I am not the most careful meticulous cleaner, but I wash my carafe and lid and basket assembly in the dishwasher and unlike someone else.. mine looks clean. I don't have any issues with that at all. It still makes a great cup of coffee nearly 5 years later. I provided a picture of the large basket which has a centralizer broken off of it. I broke it being a clumsy bonehead. The only other issue I have had is the coating on the hot plate. After about 3 years of use, it started pitting and coming off in spots. It really isn't that noticeable when assembled. You can look at my machine picture and see it through the glass carafe. It doesn't really bother me because it still functions fine. I will admit that I only use spring water in my machine because the tap water at my house is absolutely awful no matter how much you filter it. I have only had to descale the machine 2x since I have had it. I don't know why people on here keep saying there aren't any replacement parts.. Breville does have parts for it. Here is the link: https://www.breville.com/us/en/products/coffee/parts-accessories.html/BDC400 You can get the replacement carafe, basket assembly, and seal ring kit which are all the big ones. This machine does show some wear, but overall it is still in pretty good shape even when using it almost daily for years. I still give it a 5 star rating. I hope people notice the link if they need replacement parts for it.
I like it and would like to reorder it. It arrived broken and coffeemakers.us.com gave me a refund.
