It’s just eh... there are more cons than there are pros. CONS: 1)There is no plate warmer and the Kraft does nothing to keep the heat in so while the coffee is brewed at the perfect temperature, you pretty much only get that if you drink it the second it’s brewed, no second cup for you or refills to warm it up. 2)Already mentioned, the kraft or pot does not keep the heat it, but in addition, it’s bulky and when you are brewing there is no where to put the lid. 3)Which brings me to my next point, storage. When you are brewing, there is no where to put the lid. If you want to store the Kraft with the lid on it, you have to find somewhere else to store the basket. When storing the coffee maker itself, be aware it lets off a good deal of steam, so you’ll need some room above it. 4)There is one button... you push start and it’s your only option. They say there is another option if you hold it down? It’s confusing. It’s one button. That’s all you get. 5) You have to fill the tank with water every time you use it. For example... It holds 8 cups, but if you want 4 cups, you can’t load it with 8 cups of water and be good for 2 days by pushing a “4 cup brew setting”. PROS: 1) It does make the best cup of coffee I’ve ever had lol. In summary, the coffee it brews is noticeably better. Night and day when you compare the same brand of coffee brewed with this coffee maker and others (I had a Mr. Coffee & French Press). You will find yourself using considerably less sugar and cream, trust me. However, the cons will grow old very quick and you will yourself back on coffeemakers.us.com... like me... searching for a new coffee maker in a months time.
Bought it three months ago and already had to do "needle maintenance" on it. It doesn't seem to like powder type pods (even Keurig brand ones) like chai tea or chocolate milk, things like that. Had to toss a big box of Keurig brand Swiss Miss Chocolate Milk because they'd clog it up every time. Plus I seen like 4 returns at Costco since I bought mine. Most of those return tags said "no longer working" or "damaged"... not a good sign.
If you are a true coffee connoisseur then you NEED this in your arsenal. I have saved over $158 since I purchased this. Makes the BEST cold brew. Better than Starbucks and Dunkin. You just add your own grounds and brew to your liking. I’ve purchased 4 of these as gifts for other coffee fanatics. It literally pays for itself after your first 2 cups. You will not be disappointed.
I was looking for a single cup coffee maker that will last. I have gone through two so far that after 6 months it stops working. So far so good but it's only been a couple months. The only thing I didn't like is it is bigger than a regular kcup size filter. I think I am using more coffee now.
I was so delighted when I opened my own new Keurig K575 brew! Loving so far I've own it for few days. No issues...but there was no maintenance accessory kit came with it as it should be. I did asked the reviewers question concern about if it will come with maintenance accessory kit (an orange pod). Did got few replies that they do come with it and customer service said the same it should come with it. So apparently it didnt came with it once I opened the box and inspected to ensure I didnt overlook it. I did called Keurig Customer Service and they did fixed it immediately by sending me the maintenance accessory kit via FEDEx. It should be arrive anytime soon. Will update in few months to see how it going.
Very cute coffe maker ! Makes one cup of coffee . It works great so far I love it
The people who took Stars off this machine either expect a robot to make their coffee for them or they received a lemon and should have returned it. Set up was simple, directions are well written, and it brewed excellent coffee. With the 3-year warranty, I'm happy that should anything go wrong with the electronics on it Braun will back that warranty up. We purchased because we don't Brew entire pots of coffee very often. I prefer to make a single cup in the morning as does my husband and we both drink different types of coffee. But it's nice to have the flexibility to do a larger pot when necessary. I also like the built-in features to do cold brew or iced coffee and the tall height means that my husband's travel mug fits right underneath. If you can read, by this coffee maker.
I ordered this coffee maker & expected it to be delivered in new condition. The instructions suggested to clean with vinegar & water & rinse with 2 pots of water. After doing so I noticed Old coffee grounds in the filter. After taking the filter & basket out there were reddish colored coffee grounds under the basket. I use dark coffee beans & grind my own so I knew they were not mine. I don't usually write reviews but after this experience I felt that I had to. The box was also damaged, leading me to believe that it had been used before. If there was a 0 star that would be my rating. "VERY DISSATISFIED"!!
What a rollercoaster ride this whole experience has been, if you are considering buying from Tuni at all, I would recommend reading about my experience with them. We got in the machine and started to use it right away - no matter the grind of espresso we used, we couldn’t get the machine to reach the red portion of the pressurization gauge. We have an espresso grinder that uses blades (not a conical one) and we tried every setting with no luck, the needle would barely move. We then bought preground espresso and had better luck with that - it moved a little but still didn’t get anywhere near the red section. We used a scale to measure between 18-19 grams, as the manual recommended. So my husband called the customer service number in the included booklet. No one answered so he left a message. We didn’t hear anything for about a week so he called again, still no answer and he left another message. Then maybe another week went by and I went to their website and used the chat window to try and get help, I was told to screenshot all our messages and send a video to an email. The next day I got a message saying someone will get back to me but not to worry, they would make sure they fixed the issue. Then I got another message saying I can fix the issue by buying their $130 espresso grinder. I was livid. The customer service is to just have me buy more of their products that I already have doubts about? I genuinely feel like there was something wrong with my machine and that’s all I could get from them. So I just left it at that with trying to contact them and wrote a review here of everything that had happened in detail with a video and photos showing the problems. Now all the sudden I start getting prompt responses from Tuni. Once I posted it, they wrote to check up on me and make sure I got it to work - plainly they saw my review that I had not. I was just done and didn’t respond. I had continued to use the machine, still struggling with it and then about 2 months in it started spurting boiling hot water every time it was used, splashing me a few times. So I updated my review with the video and info and then finally wrote them back saying the machine is now just a pile of junk waiting to be dropped off at electronics recycling. They immediately wrote back offering me a new machine and the espresso grinder they had suggested I buy earlier. I accepted hoping the combo would work, still wondering if my machine was defective or if it really needed to use coffee only ground with their grinder, or any other conical machine. I was told they would send me tracking “the next day, without fail” - they did not. I waited 2 days and checked in and at that point they sent it over. I do have to say the packaging is gorgeous and the machine is really good looking. The grinder is just as nice looking and overall I do like it a lot. A big issue is much of the espresso machine is plastic and depending on the grind, the portafilter filled with 18 grams of coffee might not fit into the machine easily. You have to really force it, this could be what led the original one to break and spew hot water. I found their grinder really did work with their espresso machine and it’s been reaching the red zone each time. I wrote back saying it arrived and I was starting the process if experimenting with the grind levels and amounts added to try and get it to the center of the red range as every time so far it was at the far end tip of it. I said I would update my review once I did a bit more research and experimentation. So then they started emailing and emailing. 6 times in about a 2 week period hounding me to update my review. Over and over, specifically asking for a positive review. To their credit, they replaced the original machine and sent the grinder. But you have to give them a bad review online for them even to get back to you with any service questions at all. And then they won’t leave you alone until you give them a positive review? What an exhausting experience. There have to be better, more reliable machines and companies out there to buy espresso machines from at this price point. I would honestly look elsewhere. The espresso does taste great but wow, such an awful experience with both the machine and the representatives. In the end, the portafilter is the best built, heaviest high quality one I’ve ever seen - 5 stars It comes with an amazing, equality high quality tamper - 5 stars It comes with a nice plastic scoop and tamper, no complaints but cheap plastic The look of the entire machine is beautiful - 5 stars Almost all of the machine is plastic, even parts that look like metal are silver colored plastic - 1 star The function is so fickle and we are still working to master it - 1 star The espresso tastes amazing basically no matter what - we aren’t connoisseurs but it’s rich and flavorful - 5 stars Customer service is a nightmare - no stars They did replace the machine and send the grinder - 5 stars I feel with the amount of stress and work that has gone into all this, I wanted to leave an honest and full review.
DO NOT BUY!! I ordered this to be a part of a coffee package for my wife for Christmas and when she opened it, it was cracked and chipped. I returned it for a replacement and when the replacement showed up, it was completely shattered. Very poor quality, if two consecutive orders cannot survive shipping. Super, super disappointed. *posting for a second time since coffeemakers.us.com blocked my first review for some reason*
This grinder is well made but as mentioned in other reviews the rocker switch has to be held down by your finger or thumb to keep the grinder working. There is no auto on off switch. I must have hit the glass and shattered it while shaking the grinder to move the beans into the chute and I now assume I will never ever get that part. They promised to respond but never did. I am now using a 12oz child's steel cup as a replacement. Works okay but have you checked the price of this grinder and this is what I have to now use. Unacceptable.
Nothing like a great cup of coffee made in a French Press. The copper top really sets it apart from similar French Presses. Easy to use and clean, also makes a great cup of coffee of your choice. No Cons.
Disappointed in the shipping and appears to be used with no original box and no manual. The programmer is not working.
This is a nice set that works well and makes up to 8 cups which is great for a large family or for parties. The reusable filter is nice and eco friendly however the overlap part has a tiny gap that I'm worried coffee grounds can get stuck in. It is very easy to clean. The glass carafe has markings on it that show volume and number of cups which is great and I use it to hold water when I'm not using it for coffee. The handle is thick and easy to hold, also feels sturdy. Overall a nice set but I would prefer a smaller alternative around 4 cups size.
Love the design. Many reviews mentioned the base coming off the cone piece so I’m hoping mine stays on. I’ll use my other filter thing if this happens. Filter does the job well.
