Let me preface this review by saying I’ve been using an old, tiny 4-cup Mr. Coffee coffee maker for years, so literally anything would be a big step up from that. But I have really been impressed by my new Braun MultiServe coffee maker! I love how it can switch between so many different sizes with just the switch of a knob. The cup shelf is such a good idea and makes it so easy to only brew directly into a mug of coffee so there’s less to clean. I was worried about splashing during the brewing process, especially if it’s not a very tall cup/mug, but I didn’t have any issues with the 12oz mug I use. The DripStop feature is also nifty for when you need to stop during the brewing cycle in case you want to take the carafe out. It brews coffee faster than my old machine, and I’ve noticed the coffee seems smoother and even a little stronger though I used the same amount of grounds. So I feel like I could use fewer coffee grounds for the same strength coffee I like and save money over time. I haven’t used it enough yet for it to need cleaning, but I do like that it has an indicator light for when it needs cleaning (which will hopefully be an easy process). I usually drink hot coffee, but I do like that this machine has the option of Over Ice and Cold Brew, so I will definitely be trying those more, especially as summer approaches. I did attempt the Over Ice setting once, and maybe I did something wrong (I’ve never tried to make iced coffee before), but all the ice in my cup was melted by the time the brew cycle ended. I might try the Cold Brew cycle instead of Gold and see if that works better with a cup of ice. Overall, it’s been a great upgrade!
This is a well made, small, glass French press. Good for a single cup of large coffee, or some smaller espresso cups. The mesh is nice, and I have had no issues with the grounds coming up. I like that it comes with it's own spoon, and separate meshes that makes it easy to swap out. The cups it comes with are small, but double walled so good to use for an espresso cup. Comes nicely packaged, and would make a good gift. Would recommend
I love this coffee machine. It is fast, and the water reservoir is so handy as it will last for two days. It is compact, easy to clean, and can also brew tea, which I love to have occasionally. I'm surprised at how fast the water gets hot to make the coffee. I also like that I can purchase coffee pods, but can still use ground coffee in the handy accessory basket. A separate basket for tea is also included. I like making a quick cup of coffee/tea on demand; this is a great single-cup maker. It has cut down on the waste of coffee in my house. I highly recommend this product. Can shown for size idea.
Excelente producto de calidad Cumple muy bien su funcion
I’ve been a drip coffee person for decades. I’m finally a convert to this pour over coffee carafe- it is easy, takes up less space and makes a wonderful cup of coffee! Never going back to electric coffee makers.
I've had this machine just under a month, and I've tried to be patient but it just isn't great. I have several ounces of liquid/coffee in the capsule basket every time I empty the pods/capsules. When I make an espresso, it's a small amount that goes in my cup. I reached out to lavazza and they were initially helpful in trying to schedule a video call. But I worked from home to have the call and they missed the scheduled call. They apologized and asked me to send pics/video. I did... And they didn't provide a good answer. Also, the espresso isn't as hot as Nespresso. I prefer a hot espresso/lungo but these are just warm. Also, cappuccino/latte mug is LARGE. Almost the same size and weight as a large measuring cup, so it's uncomfortable to drink from (see pics)
Last Christmas, I got this machine as a gift for my mom and she loves it! It is a durable machine and after almost a year’s worth of use, there’s not a scratch on it. She also loves how the water tank can move so you can redecorate your coffee stand without worrying about if it is going to not fit. The customer service from Nespresso is also unparalleled; they send you free to use recycling bags so that you can recycle your pods by dropping them off at your local post office (free of charge), have year round deals, and really make the best coffee on this planet! Overall, this was the best gift that I have given and I would 100% recommend it for anyone who loves their coffee!!!
I stopped drinking coffee 5 years ago. Then my Egyptian neighbor had me try some Turkish coffee. I loved it and immediately started thinking about ordering a coffee machine. My neighbor loaned me a different machine until I decided. I ordered the Okka machine - the same one they had. And I am so happy I did. Its an all-in-one machine. It has different settings and a wire spinner inside which blends and foams the coffee up automatically. I have not tried foaming any milk only because I prefer to add a little cold milk in my coffee. The machine is quality and extremely well made. The interior of the carafe has a non-stick coating so it's easy to clean. I rinse with warm water and a very soft brush then air dry. It's compact size and lovely appearance is easy to place anywhere on my counter. Makes great tasting gourmet coffee fast and is a great value. Don't buy any other machine. Just start off right with the Artisan Okka.
I have had four of these. There's only three in the picture because one made it into the trash. The only reason I keep buying them is for the ability to program them to stay on for five hours. No other unit that I can find has that long and I drink coffee all day. I want a machine that doesn't have the ridiculous safety shutoff but that I can still change the temperature and the brew strength. Is it too much to ask for it to actually work for more than a year? I have purchased (initially, to see if I liked it) a used one from an auction site for really cheap. When that one had an error message and wouldn't brew after four months I figured, it was used, at the end of its life, what else to expect and bought a new one from coffeemakers.us.com. That one crapped out during COVID after a ridiculously short warranty period. Same problem. All the lights are on but no brewing happening. Replaced with the same model from another retailer on a deal and same the same result. At 9 months, lights are on, no brewing action, but also no error messages on the second or third units. Just not working. Managed to get the retailer to take the unit back and replace it. Now, after just over a year, the replacement has pulled the same problem. So, since 2019, I have had four of these. Three were brand new. All had the same exact issue. Worked great, and then stopped brewing with no warning. And I did every clean cycle as the cleaning cycle light came on all of them. So CLEARLY, there is an engineering problem here. Based on other reviews, Braun is aware and just chooses to keep cranking out these landfill fodder units and selling them to unsuspecting customers. For FIVE years this has been going on, at least. Please do yourself (and your wallet) a favor and choose another brand. I will never buy another coffee maker, toothbrush, electric shaver, etc. from this company that can't even fix the basic engineering/electrical problem of their units. I guess I am just going to be drinking my coffee cold when I forget to reset whatever 2 hour shutoff unit I buy to replace this piece of junk. I literally still have two others in my garage to take to the dump. Guess I can add a third to the pile. Oh and one of the glass carafes cracked in the dishwasher. Top rack. First time I washed it. But I still had my carafe from the broken unit. So there's that too.
After just a few uses, this shattered at the base when adding water, spurting scalding coffee and damaging our custom cabinetry. We had carefully handwashed and never bumped it. From other reviews this seems a common complaint. I thought Bodum was a premium brand but apparently no longer - there is no USA support phone number, they only respond by email (see below), and did not follow-up when I requested escalation to a supervisor. We do use a metal spoon to stir (as would many folks) - if it's so fragile that this will damage the glass, it really ought to come with a suitable stirrer and warning label - not merely a short scoop. We also own their model with the SAN plastic beaker which has lasted for years - clearly Bodum's thin glass has a design defect. DON'T TAKE THE RISK! On the positive side, coffeemakers.us.com's credit card purchase protection refunded the cost when I filed a claim. -- From: Diogo (Bodum) May 31, 2022, 12:36 GMT+2 Hello Barry Thank you for contacting BODUM. My name is Diogo and I'll be your Customer Agent for this matter. We are sorry to hear about the problems you've been having and thank you for bringing them to our attention. However, as you can verify in our Warranty & Returns policy, Glass is not covered by warranty. All BODUM products are made to the highest standard. The glass we use is Borosilicate glass which withstands extremes of temperature, from -30 degrees centigrade to +530 degrees, and can be washed innumerable times. As with all glass, care should be taken when using and whether washed by hand or in a dishwasher should never be stacked on top of other products or placed too close so that it can be knocked or damaged. When storing glass products, again, space should be chosen with care. Metal cutlery should never be used with glass. Unfortunately, if the glass has been knocked or damaged in some way and has a hairline fracture that is un-detectable to the human eye, the next time hot water is poured into the glass it can break or crack. This however is not a common occurrence. In most cases the glass lasts for many years without incurring any problems. We're sorry we cannot provide further assistance on this matter. If you have any other query, please let us know. Kind regards Diogo M. Customer Service Team
The screen is bend and uneven, the top is plastic, it's big enough to make one medium size of coffee and the strainer is awful..cup is full of grounds every time. Definitely not worth it.
It makes very good coffee. I do use the jugs of boughten water but you can use tap water. I like the water tank on the side and it shows clearly how much water is in it. I can put my tall Yeti cup under it for coffee. I can even use ground coffee with the permanent filters I purchased. The coffee is hot without using the boiling choice. A nice feature is you can make tea with the other water source so it doesn’t get the coffee flavor. I like the size of the Ninja. There’s a spoon attached to the side of the coffee maker for measuring the coffee grounds. There’s a frother too if one so desired. I’m happy with Ninja products and this is a delight. It agrees with my wiring which a different brand didn’t.
It makes K-pod in 3 size cups, a K-pod screen for ground coffee, great! You can brew less of course by hitting the start button a 2nd time and it will shut down. So if you want espresso, put that fine grind in the K-pod basket and brew around 2oz or so. It does seem to push some water out first to 'wet' the coffee before then pushing through the rest, so it gets a good bold flavor this way. The larger basket will make 8,10,12 cup carafe easily. The huge tank on the back is super, it's a little more than the 12 cup carafe. Perfect, it'll last through a dozen K-Pods I am thinking. Simple controls are great. A stay hot plate for the carafe brews works well. Love the 'oatmeal' color, so tired of black everything now days. This is a decent maker and above many of the bigger name brands, get one! Update: 3/15/25, I have found the on button annoying in the respect that it also changes the cup size to easily. I usually use 8oz but sometimes overflow the cup as it want to 10oz and I didn't see that it did. You must push the button really fast to not switch mode, a bit to long and it goes to the next larger cup size and you didn't notice it.... Also it sometimes flashes all of its LEDs after a brew. Three times, there is no mention of this action in the manual, what is it trying to indicate. The unit works fine and I use RO water so it's always clean as such? Still like the machine though.
Very easy to use. I enjoy the “strong” button, let’s you choose at the time of brewing. It does use different k-cups (previous model wouldn’t take). My husband’s only complaint is it’s not hot enough for him and you cannot adjust the temperature as I could with my previous one. It is narrow to fit on my coffee station Overall I am happy with it
it’s compact but still make up to 10 cups of coffee at once. it’s perfect if you have limited counter space.
