After having this coffee maker for over a year, I’m a bit underwhelmed. We’ve had issues with the percolator basket sitting properly which has resulted in a flood of coffee a few times. As you can see, the display also has lights burned out on it already (time is supposed to say 9:07 in the picture). It was a poor design to have the display on the bottom where water and coffee grounds can get spilled on it and inside the cracks of the buttons and display. The lid for the carafe also broke one of the knobs that allows the lid to attach and detach from the carafe itself. The unit is easy enough to take apart for putting in the dishwasher which is a plus. Overall I would save your money for the design that has the display up at the basket level.
After a year of use, I can accurately provide a review of this expensive coffee maker. Bottom line. It makes good coffee. I can only assume the guts of the machine are of the highest quality since I can't see them however, the pieces on the outside of the machine are not good. The footplate on the thermal carafe model is useless. It won't stay on or in place. The rubberized feet on the bottom of the machine won't stay on. The water reservoir is made of hard plastic that seems fragile. And it is. The water outlet arm rests on top of it and the reservoir has cracked almost to the bottom. Another crack is beginning about an inch away, on the other side of the arm. The lid on the filter basket is hard plastic and could easily crack as is the lid on the water reservoir. There are other issues with the basket and it is irritating that there isn't an automatic shutoff. I was disappointed when I first took the machine out of the box. For the money, the parts I just mentioned were cheap but I wanted to give it a fair try. The cracks in the reservoir were the last straw. Water is now leaking out and it isn't a year old! At almost $400 this unacceptable. Would I buy this machine again? No. Can I recommend it? No. But does it make good coffee? Absolutely.
This is a GREAT product! I used to LIVE on coffee but I have a heart murmur and too much caffeine is actually one of my migraine triggers so I've had to cut most caffeine sources out of my deit. I always loved the smooth taste of cold brew and loved how much longer it lasted before it got bitter but decaf or half caf cold brew isn't a thing in stores or coffee shops. So when I want myself a little coffee treat I allow myself a small one from the coffee shop here and there. With this I can use grounds of my choice and enjoy my coffee more often without the harsh effects of too much caffeine on a daily basis. It's easy to do, and after brewing I remove the filter and fill with more water for the perfect taste. No more $5 coffees!
You need the proper filter to ensure your water is free of the smallest particulates. My first one lasted 8 years on an ok filter. The carafe on the first one, after a few years, started to turn brown. With a good filter, it stays clean. This one will probably last longer.
We’re really loving our Vertuo Creatista so far. We did purchase when it was on sale, but regardless, it’s probably one of the best purchases we’ve made in a while (we’ve honestly said this to each other a few times since purchasing). We were avid Starbucks goers and our coffee bills were really adding up. We went from a Keurig to this machine and it is quite the upgrade. Truly tastes like a coffee shop latte. We primarily use this to make lattes/cappuccinos and the frother is really great. We weren’t sure we were ready for a more professional espresso maker and all the steps that went into grinding our own beans, tamping the grinds down, etc., so this really was the perfect machine for us. We love that it’s 1 touch for the frother and 1 touch for the coffee/espresso pod. Really easy to use and maintain. The Nespresso pod options are also really great - definitely tastier all around compared to Keurig. Would recommend this unit to anyone looking for coffee-shop-grade drink (especially lattes/cappuccinos), but who isn’t ready to commit to a more laborious machine. Hoping we continue to have 0 issues with it, but will upgrade my review if we see a decline in function.
I don’t drink coffee, but when someone comes to my house I never have to offer and I feel bad about it. I found this and you put the powder inside and hot water, and it gets ready in a few minutes! I loved the color. It is functional and cute.
It was always a struggle making a good cup of coffee while camping. It is a great product...But there is a catch. The pictures show it coming with a carrying bag. NO BAG WAS INCLUDED! I have searched everywhere, coffeemakers.us.com,ebay, and even the coleman website. Kinda bummed. For $130 it should come with one. Going to have to find some lunch cooler or something.
This little gem is well worth the money! It makes a perfect cup of coffee. I see some people complained that the grounds went all over. Well, I seen some of the photos, and it looks to me like they put way too much coffee grounds in. If you want strong coffee, then go out and buy strong coffee. Don't blame the coffee make because you put way too much coffee grounds in. I put two rounded teaspoon fulls of medium strength coffee, and it makes a perfect cup of coffee. I choose to put medium strength coffee, because I like it a bit strong. But I give this five stars!
Is this normal that this wood cover has gap like this? This looks ugly to me..
I like a 12oz mug of coffee to start the day. This little French press makes a mug of coffee I really look forward to! Follow the directions carefully, regardless of how you've done it in the past, and you won't be disappointed. The only problem is, the first mug is so good I'm tempted to make a second!
Ooo- this is a nice sleek tall bottle that fits better in my fridge! Its the profile of a water bottle. I am looking forward to savings hundreds of $ by making my own cold brew and not buying it! The filter has super small holes and doesn't allow grounds to get into the coffee. I love how I can make one batch and it lasts me 2-3 days instead of making it every day. The materials of this brewer fit tightly together and I haven't spilled yet. It even comes with a brush to clean the inside. At the time of this review it costs $15 and I feel that is a good alternative to buying restaurant cold-brews or even grocery store. Also, it coes in a nice box if you are looking for a gift idea for someone. Would buy again!
I bought this for a vacation home, ended up liking it, and now use it at home. I truly appreciate the volume markings are in actual values (oz/mls) rather than the number of 5 oz cups. My mugs hold 10 oz of coffee plus milk, so the carafe holds enough for 2 mugs. If it is just for one person, the lid for the carafe helps to hold in the heat. Because it is glass and the heat loss is quick, I put the carafe on a folded towel or pot holder. It uses a number 2 filter. I recommend not going with very thin Melita style filters. The bottom of the glass dripper has a large hole and does not completely support the bottom of the Melita filters. I have ripped a couple of them when pouring the water too fast. When I used two of the thin Melita filters it worked just fine.
Received the model 850 as a warranty replacement for my model 900 that lasted 18 months. It took Cuisinart 6 weeks to ship the replacement. The model 850 lasted two weeks before the “Clean” light went on. Followed the instructions in the owners manual and called customer service and followed their additional guidance. They are refusing to refund my money and are sending another model 850. They say this one will ship in 15-20 days. DO NOT PURCHASE A Cuisinart!
Success the first time I used it! My regular drip ground coffee tastes so much better. I love this pour over method and I couldn't have asked for a better system than this one. The permanent filter works so well. No need for paper filters. Not one single coffee ground in the pot. I bought a great little gooseneck coffee pot and now I get to enjoy my favorite coffee at its absolute best. I love the pot and the bamboo stand takes it all to an even higher level. It's like coffee art on my counter. Super easy clean up, too. I highly recommend this Aquach coffee maker.
I have always used drip coffee, French and Keurig. I decided to switch it up one day when I saw this machine on a Nespresso ad on TikTok. Man I’m glad I went with my gut. I love this thing. Coffee comes out perfect. Stormio xCaffeine is our favorite. It brews a nice hot cup of coffee every time. I will say sometimes it does vibrate a lot, but from what I read that’s normal. We only use two pods a day so we’re definitely saving money! I recommend this machine 100%. Also don’t forget to register is under your Nespresso account on their website for the warranty!
