  • Use it everyday. Regular coffee pot works great for filling up The thermos in the a.m. and the k-cups work great for when I want a cup not 12.

After reviewing several grind and brew coffee makers I decided to purchase the one from GE Café. The set up process is very easy. And it makes delicious coffee! The best coffee I have had in along time. I read in a few posts that the water carafe leaked where the filter is installed. I can see this happening if you do not seat the gasket properly. I have not had a leak at all. I have to say it is a little more than I wanted to spend but I'd rather be happy with the first purchase then to have to purchase this one after trying a different one that I didn't like. I use the Gold brewing feature and the coffee is hot and stays hot for several hours after in the thermal carafe. I hope this helps anyone on the fence about buying this coffee maker. I LOVE it!

UPDATE: In March 2023, I purchased the TrueBrew shortly after it was released by DeLonghi. In September, 2024, (18 months later) I had a mechanical issue and contacted DeLonghi support. The phone support agent was terrific. We set up a video call on my cell phone so I could show the agent the issue I was having with the TrueBrew. After a short video discussion, she offered to send me a box and label so I could return the machine for warranty repair. A few days later, I received a FedEx box with packing material. I packed the machine and brought it down to FedEx for return. A few short weeks later, I received an email from DeLonghi explaining that the issue could not be repaired and that they would be sending me a TrueBrew Certified (refurbished) unit to me via FedEx delivery. Upon receiving the new machine I discovered that it actually performed BETTER than my original machine! The water leakage issue that I describe in my previous post had disappeared. They apparently corrected this problem on newer machines and the leakage no longer occurs and the emptying of the grounds and waste water is not needed as often as my original machine. I was thoroughly impressed with the DeLonghi support and adherence to their warranty, and both shipping costs to and from their repair facility was absorbed by DeLonghi, not to mention they even provided me with the box and packing materials! They have gained a very loyal customer due to this great experience. Thank you DeLonghi! MARCH 2023: We love the convenience of the new True Brew by DeLonghi. Being able to brew a cup of coffee with a one-stop unit easily is great. Not having to grind, fill the water, and then wait for the coffee to brew is a great way to start your day. It is understandable that the bean hopper, water reservoir, grind waste container, etc., are small and have to be emptied often, but the one 'flaw' is that the process of brewing and internal cleaning results in a puddle of grinds and water to leak underneath the unit. I contacted DeLonghi, and they are aware of the issue but do not have a resolution to the issue at this time. If you have a porous countertop, you may wish to place the unit on top of a waterproof surface, such as a cutting board, to prevent the leakage from damaging or staining your countertop. Otherwise, I love the unit so far!

I was excited to check the product I've received, but the lid is complete broke, not usable at all. I asked for a replacement and will update here if it is still broke.

  • Definitely would not recommend to buy this coffee machine. It works decently with ground coffee, but not with K-cup. When using K-cup, steam escape from top and K-cup shrinks and bulges. I would return it if it were not too late. Return date was limited to mid-July, just about a month after the purchase. I never had K-cups shrink and bulge with any other kind of coffee machine.

  • I love my Nespresso Vertuo, but the pods are expensive. I really like the convenience of putting a pod in and getting espresso, but trying to make espresso drinks with this machine was not cost effective for me. I use 4 shots in a 24 oz (venti) sized iced coffee drink. Each 1 shot pod is ~$1. The doubles work too, but no decaf double shots. That was the other problem. i mostly drink decaf and there are few options for decaf... But the coffee that this Nespresso produces tastes really great and has great crema on it. I really like the decaf pods and the seasonal peppermint pinwheel. The milk frother is great. It froths hot or cold. Beware- it will overflow if filled above the line or close to the line.

    Perfect cup every time

  • Perfect dispenser for water. I used it for a worship event that I hosted for everyone to make hot chocolate. Easy to clean and the water gets SUPER hot. Definitely worth the purchase.

  • Have never had a burner plate disintegrate. Little pieces of either metal or paint are coming off. I do not scrub or use chemicals on it. Feel like will have to replace soon. Does not keep coffee very warm when it sits. I like the programmable part. It works.

Unfortunately by day 2 we began to see the water leaking issue -- the reservoir for the single serve side DOES leak. I will be contacting Cuisinart immediately. The leak is from the bottom where the reservoir sits in the base. This unit was recommended by our kids who have one and love it. After 3 Keurig Duos that failed within the first 12-18 months, we were ready to look at other brands. This review is for Cuisinart model SS-15BKSP1 that is in "Black Stainless" color. I almost didn't buy this one because of the reviews that showed exploded pods and stated the water leaked. However, then I found a couple of reviews that pointed out the k-cup holder MUST be installed correctly: the two white arrows must line up when the insert is put in the unit. I checked with our kids and they confirmed they have never had an issue with exploding pods. So, that issue seems to be user error. Now about the leaking tank. Yes, it did leak BECAUSE WE OVER FILLED IT! Again, user error. I suppose filling the pot tank with the pot rather than the hose from the sink could have avoided the issue. Edit: it turns out the single serve side DOES leak. Very sad. Another issue mentioned in reviews was that the unit splattered while making a single cup. The fix for that was to use a taller cup or put something on the tray to allow a small cup to sit closer to the opening dispensing coffee. Our mugs are pretty tall. I did see the first couple of cups kind of splattered, but it all went in the cup. So, no real issue there in my estimation. I use the single side with ground coffee rather than a pod. This unit comes with an insert that allows that. You remove the black pod insert (in the photo above) and replace it with the grey pod containing a small mesh basket that holds the coffee. Overall this unit feels durable and it looks very nice. If we find any glaring flaws I will update. However, after reading so many negative reviews that were user error, I wanted to provide our experience.

  • Really enjoyed my last Hamilton beach but it was to large and took up a lot of space. So when I seen this new sleeker model I had to get it. Love it every thing about it.

I have been using French Press pots for years. You can see how much coffee you are making, and it’s easy to clean as well as the grounds are not wasted by putting them into my garden . Try it, and you won’t be adding to land pollution.

I’m literally copying a review from another buyer who bought theirs in Sept 2024. I had the exact same issues as their review. See my video for the horrendous noise and flashing lights. Ironically, there is coffee grounds on the needle. WE NEVER PUT A POD IN THE COFFEE MAKER!! Let's just say that, when coffeemakers.us.com says "this item is frequently returned," one should listen! I ignored that warning and will now be returning this coffeemaker. Our K-Elite Keurig died without warning, so I was looking for a non-Keurig replacement. This one came up in my search and we love our Instant Pot, so figured it was worth a look. I also enjoyed Nespresso on a recent vacation, so the thought of being able to brew both K cups and Nespresso capsules was attractive. We unboxed the machine and it seemed nice; well-made and sturdy, the buttons were recessed and firm. We followed the directions by washing the water reservoir and wiping down the machine. We also took out the little red plug in the water reservoir. We were ready to do the "test brew" and that's when things went awry. I followed the directions to a T, but when I went to brew plain water, the machine made a terrible noise, and no hot water dispensed. Then, all of the buttons flashed. We turned off the machine, re-seated the water reservoir, thinking we had done something wrong, but the same thing happened when we tried again. Both times we tried to run the test brew, we also noticed a sort of "burnt" electrical smell, similar to what you smell when you first turn on your heat/furnace in the fall. That indicated to us that something is wrong with the machine; we had not done anything wrong. It never did run the test brew. So, with great disappointment, we emptied the water reservoir, re-boxed the machine (which was not easy), and will return it. Very sad we couldn't make this work, as I was excited to brew K-cup coffee and Nespresso. We'll be going back to Keurig.

I got this as a gift from my daughter this Christmas, but the machine is not good enough for the price and quality of the coffee it sells. The water leaking after using the milk steamer is something I didn't have in my $99 machine.

  • Good: -Grinder works well and is pretty convenient. It's graded to get all the beans in the grinder. Grind fineness/coarseness is adjustable with a dedicated knob. Ground coffee drops into the filter automatically via gravity. -Coffee tasted great; I strongly prefer grinding at time of use, but my grinder failed after years and I stopped drinking coffee for a while. Having the grinder integrated saves hassle and time. -Includes a reusable mesh filter. -Includes most programming features you expect from a "digital" coffee maker. I don't use them, but I did go ahead and test them to ensure they functioned as I expected. Neutral: -The reusable mesh filter is a bit of a pain to get all the used grounds out of, and becomes permanently stained on first use. Bad: -The mechanical sensor supposed to stop the coffee maker from continuing to drip out coffee when the carafe is removed repeatedly failed to trigger. Coffee drips out pretty fast mid-run, far faster than the warming plate can boil it off. While you might be able to adjust to just leaving the carafe on while it's running, guests are liable to make a big mess and burn themselves. Maybe adhering a round metal shim on the top of the carafe lid where it contacts the spring mechanism would push it closed with more force; I haven't tested that. -The water reservoir is not removable. You must fill the carafe or some other vessel at the sink and then carefully pour the water into the reservoir.
