I got this because it's easier to clean than a tea pot and it worked excellently with all kinds of tea and stayed warm enough to steep well. The plum color is cute. The plunger comes apart so the strainer is easy to clean, too. However the glass is subpar at best and I doubt it's actually borosilicate. The pour spout is wobbly and the carafe has a hairline fracture after only 7 months. I didn't expect a lot for <$20, but I did expect at least a year of use. It's impossible to remove the carafe from the plastic frame but it's also somehow not sealed since soap and water can get into the space. The carafe also has no markings for the amount of liquid you're pouring in. I'm debating if it's worth it to get another.
Using this for cold brew coffee. Works great. I go with like 3 cups of course ground for 24 hours and it comes out great. Makes just enough to get me through the week on one brew which is sick. Sunday night start the brew... good to go through Friday. Didn’t have the leak issue others have mentioned. Just made sure to screw the spout on tight and no issues.
The wear on the burner is really looking used like I run it 24/7. I put on and it goes off within an hour daily. Surprise how it looks. Not about making coffee. Works great.....
I have been wanting a single cup coffee maker with the eco friendly reusable K cup, which was reasonably priced, easy to use and black. Viola! Here she is and I'm so happy I can now have my Starbucks freshly brewed at home. I should have bought it sooner! Thank you
I have a 20 year old Cuisinart 12 cup brewer that recently started failing. So naturally I had brand loyalty. Even though this was a hundred dollars more than the closest competitor, I was willing to pay for quality. Unfortunately, I suspect all of the quality people at Quisinart have retired since then and been replaced by today's more typically inept smartphone zombies. Pros: -The 12 cup brewer side still manages to make a good pot of coffee. This is in spite of barely heating the water up to about 183degF, about 10deg short of ideal. -I found filling the reservoirs easy because the machine sits next to our sink with an extension wand. -As usual, Cuisinart includes charcoal filters in their reservoirs, a nice touch for those using municipal water. -All of the controls are fairly intuitive. Cons : -For the two days we had this machine, we found slow water leaks on the counter in the evening (several hours after morning use}. It appears to have come from the removable single side reservoir, which was filled to the max line but correctly installed on the brewer. The water leaked was probably about 1/4-1/2 cup. -The single side coffee was weak regardless of various attempts. The max water temp was about 175degF, way too low. The K-cup brews were all weak. I tried packing up to 17g of grounds into the mini basket but the brew still came out weak. 15g is the mfr max recommendation. -On the subject of the mini basket, the lid hinge is nothing more than a thinned area of the molding. This is the same technique you would use as a tear away tab. I'd bet this hinge wouldn't last a month in daily use. Also, filling and emptying the single basket is cumbersome and risky, being so small. Many messes are made. -The blue clock light doesn't turn off. At all. Ever. And it's landing light bright. Foolish. -Last but not least, there is no elevated platform for a regular size coffee cup. Thus, when the single side brews, coffee SPLASHES everywhere. It's absolutely ridiculous and is a blatant display that Cuisinart is either stupid or doesn't care. To remedy this, we found an office desk paper clip cup that happened to fit well and somewhat help. But having to do this was pretty much the end for us, on top of the other shortcomings. The machine has been returned. We're going to give the competition a try and see how it goes.
Works great and makes a very good cup of coffee. The only problem I have with it is it is very noisy when it's bruised.
I’m in #LOVELOVELOVE with this machine. You should definitely #LEVELUP your #COFFEEGAME!
Purchased coffee maker Jan 23rd 2020. Made really good coffee. Style was very nice. However, the green plastic coffee aerator broke off on Feb 26th. This fragile little plastic part fits above the filter which allows the hot water from the tank to spread over the coffee grounds making the coffee rich and wonderful. Without it the coffee is watered down. Disappointed this happened on a new unit. Do better Bunn!
We use this product when we’re having guests to look at birds. And brews a true 10 cups of coffee when using 10 cups of water. Flavor was good, and the variable strength indicator on the lid is quite an asset.
I'm one of those who goes straight for the coffee first thing with virtually no waiting. Also I am looking for the best with the least amount of work. Grinding first thing in the morning is not going to happen, pour over and French Press just too much mess along with grinding the day before. Usually I end up using ground but now with this Melitta® Aroma Fresh it's a dream come true game changer. Great fresh ground coffee in the morning and only one button and I’m ready to go, watch the news and check my email. Filling the hopper with beans last me about three days using the water at the eight cup (8) and three beans with the grind a little below the fine grind setting and the aroma of the beans and the brew just can’t be beat. My pre ground coffee was good but not quite there and I usually put in ½ teaspoon sugar and some creamer. Drinking my fresh ground coffee as I write I’m drinking it black with about ½ tsp of sugar and it's the smoothest coffee I remember having, no creamer needed. If I have any on the down side I would like to be able to remove the door that holds the grounds. I’v said this before about others but this truly, for me, is the best coffee I have had. Regardless of price I could not be more pleased and have no reason to spend any more. Saying it again, it is the smoothest and easiest way to get fresh ground in the morning.
I absolutely love this product. I'm a coffee fanatic and enjoy a good cup of espresso in the morning. If you enjoy Nespresso, you'll love it too. I'd argue it's the best coffee/espresso you can take with you without needing a grinder and the whole coffee-making setup. Like Nespresso machines, the Wacaco minipresso also creates a nice crema (espresso froth) on top and maintains the heat of the espresso through the brewing process extremely well. You'll have to press the pump about 30 times to pull the full shot (5-8 pumps are needed to fill the Nespresso capsule with water, and the rest pour the espresso through). Once you have boiling water, you (1) Pour the water in one side; (2) Place the capsule in the other; (3) Pump 20-30 times; and voila - espresso. The whole thing takes 60-90 seconds. Cleaning is super easy, you only have to rinse it with water and dry the pieces separately. It has a nice balanced weight to it, and seems pretty rugged with a thick plastic construction. I really like how the individual pieces fit together perfectly, and there's absolutely no "wiggle" feeling or gaps between the pieces - a good sign that the unit was designed well. Highly recommend for anyone who likes making coffee outside the home, doesn't mind buying Nespresso pods, or would use it camping/hiking/outside etc.
Works decently when it works, but 1 year and 5 months after fairly light use (about 10oz 2-3x/week) it just stopped working. It's now frozen like my attached image. No un/replugging helps, Alexa app doesn't see it.
The post office who delivered it . Put a hole in the box and hung it on the front of my mail box. My mail box is on a road. Anyone could have taken it. Plus bent the hook and door on the mail box. This is unacceptable. Coffee pot is working. No damage to it.
