I have used a large variety of immersion and percolation coffee brewers and feel that I have a decent amount of experience creating great coffee. I picked this brewer up to have an easy to use travel coffee brewer that was more compact than an Aeropress. In this regard, I think this dripper is an excellent option. To get straight to the point, it can brew excellent cups of coffee reliably. If you are truly traveling light, you may find it hard to get consistent cups with this dripper if you don't have a gooseneck kettle. Perhaps a drip-assist type device would help, or you can use a spoon to disperse the water stream evenly. Though the metal filter in this dripper does work well for travel instances (and keeps things super simple/minimal) I find that at home I still prefer using paper filters with it (I use Kalita 185's with great success.) Using only the metal filter I find this dripper quite slow compared to a v60. The paper filters speed it up a bit but it still isn't a fast brewer. I'm using a 1Zpresso Zp6 and despite the lack of excess fines I still get slow brews with this dripper with or without papers. Regardless of brew time however, the cups this dripper produces taste great and at the end of the morning, that's what matters most. I've found the cups I brew with this dripper full-bodied and sweet. Cleanup is super easy with filters and easy enough with just the metal filter. Mostly you'll just need to give the dripper a quick rinse on top and bottom to keep the staining and bitter flavors away. Without a filter you'll need to tap out the grounds into the compost or trash depending on what you have access to. Long story short, I can absolutely recommend this dripper for travel and light home use. Would I used it every day at home? I could work with it yeah, though it wouldn't be my first choice. But as an easy to use, travel focused pour over device it really excels.
**UPDATED REVIEW: Changed to one star because we got so fed up with it this morning we literally put it in the Goodwill pile. The revolving filter door is TOO TIGHT for the structure and is difficult to close and the filter does not stay in place. We went to get a cup of coffee from it, and saw that yet again the filter had folded over onto itself inside and coffee grinds/drippage was everywhere. I think this has the capability to be a good product. It is sleek and compact, but it is simply not functional, which is the main objective. *FIRST REVIEW : 2 stars for being nice to look at. However, functionally, it has been disappointing. The pot and filter pocket are too close together and you can't pull out the filter portion without knocking the pot off kilter. It's so tight that the filter itself often folds over on itself (even when you set it w/ the filter 'strap') and the coffee comes out looking like tea 1 out of 3 times b/c of this (b/c when it folds over, it is essentially double-filtered). Also when the coffee is through brewing and you take the pot off the warmer, there is always still a trickling stream of coffee that pours onto the burner, scorching the warmer. I wanted to see if it had a "break-in" period, but it has been consistently like this. I'm bummed it is no longer eligible for return.
This item is one cup at a time coffee maker with limited cup size of 12 ounces. The water is poured thru a filter in the tank inside the unit that can't be removed or cleaned, so please keep filter in water fill hole. They do give you the choice of using K cups or the included K-pod to use your own coffee. This item is very simple to use raise lid by turning the grey knob on top to unlock lid and add water and pod. Then click button on side of machine and it starts. In picture 3 I included the pamphlet that shows the color choices they have for this small coffee maker. The last limit is the height of the mug you can use which is about 4 1/2 inches to keep nozzle out of cup. I use a wider cup that's 4 inches tall and holds 14 ounces and everything works great and lets me add creamer with that extra room. Overall, 4 stars for variety and item included. Would have been 5 stars if the water tank was cleanable and replaceable.
My wife and I have very different tastes when it comes to coffee and this handy little machine is perfect for our needs. It's got a slim profile and takes up minimal space on our kitchen countertop while having the capacity to brew a 'large' 16-oz single serving. It's simple to operate and shuts itself off after it's done with a simple "Brew" button to activate it. The double metal mesh filtration does an excellent job of keeping the grounds in place and makes cleanup a breeze. They only require a quick rinse under the faucet and a wipe-down of the brewing chamber with a paper towel to keep things running smoothly. The scoop capacity allows us to customize the amount of grounds used in each 'cup' brewed, which is important as she's a 'strong and black' drinker while I prefer mine to be less powerful and mix-and-match creamers for different flavors depending on my mood. It works quickly, taking only a couple of minutes to brew and dispense the cup, and the temperature is hot but not scalding. The two-minute cool-down in between brewing cups means we can enjoy our own preferred drinks together on the weekends while still making that quick cup on demand in the mornings before the workday without having to fight over who goes first.
Fast delivery. Easy to use. Firm and sturdy. This coffee machine is an excellent value for the price. It brews a solid cup of coffee quickly and reliably for me and my wife. Perfect for anyone looking for a cost friendly option.
We used this near daily and it worked great until last week (just passed the two year mark). I regularly descaled it and replaced the carbon filter every 3 months. Seems like the heating element burned out. Very disappointed.
Why do we buy a new Item and good companies send their crap. The box has windows cut in the top and bottom. The printing is even pealed at the top where it was opened. Why send this stuff. Just a waste of time and money. What is it? Refurbed Returned Fell off the back of a truck. The shipping department’s of these companies need to clean out the lax workers who could careless. Kitchen Aid usually has good products but then this CRAP slips through Thanks
Mr. COFFEE 14 Cup Deluxe COFFEE MAKER Has EVERY THING, 14 CUPS, TIMER CHOSE Strength Of Coffee, Chose SMALL Brew Or LARGE Brew. PRE SET TIMER For Brewing, ALSO. BEAUTIFUL.
This is a very good product. I have always had Bunn products. Now this one is a little different. It does not preheat the water like other Bunns. But it is very fast about brewing. Just about enough time to brush your teeth, witch I do.
This jar is really great! I personally have not seen this in the big box stores but it is really great. There is still the numbers on the sides and the lid screws on and off. I did run mine through the dishwasher and it was fine. The handle of the lid is nice and wide from the jar. I am going to use mine to hold a bit of my starter for bread but this would be a great option for drinks as well. The jar is glass but the lid is a really thick plastic like material.
This coffee pot does nothing but make a mess! I have owned numerous coffee pots over the years and this is by far one of the worst one! You could mAke a cup of coffee from the amount that is dripping out of the pot!
Una cafetera en la cual me gusta con sus dos funciones es buena marca y reconocida
There's nothing more satisfying than waking up in the morning, turning on the kettle and making myself some tea. And I LOVE my tea. However, I have decided to change some things up in my routine *uh, oh* and make coffee, something I haven't had in about three years. I shortly remembered why after a livestream with my best friend and me making three, yes three 34oz of coffee. The crash I later felt that day! The statement still stands, there isn't anything better than starting my kettle at 0500, getting my coffee grounds in, start my shower, pour the water in and let it steep while I take said shower. By the time I'm out my coffee is at the proper temperature for me to get at least the first cup down in about two minutes, depending on what I'm doing at the time. My only complaint is that I fear the water that gets trapped in between the glass and the white sleeve will eventually cause problems. I'm not exactly sure why this is happening; however, I have noticed while washing that water does get in. Isn't too much of a problem at the moment as I plan on upgrading because this is white and it's literally the only white thing I own (Goth with a nice vintage flare)! I would also like to get something that will be able to possibly tolerate heating from the bottom. Whereas this feels like a heavy-duty plastic, it isn't safe to be placed on hot surfaces. I just started drinking coffee again on 1 December, 2024 and so far I've used my French press every single day. If you know a coffee lover or are a coffee lover yourself and they like be "fancy" get them a French press!
I worked well for about a year. Lately the water hasn't been getting very hot.
I looked for some time for a coffee maker. This coffee maker is perfect. It makes a delicious, satisfying cup of coffee. I can't state that strong enough, I am completely happy with it. It's aesthetically pleasing, quiet, and quick without compromising an ounce of quality. Love it!
