We love this Keurig coffee maker. It makes a delicious cup of coffee in 2 minutes or less. (Pay no attention to the Salt-n-Pepper shakers. They were acquired later).
I've made cold brew for a decade. This is the best brew kit---it creates delicious concentrate. There's no way around the requirement of steeping the coffee in the grounds. The glass, too fragile and breakable, strangely-sized carafe / pitcher is this product's biggest limitation. It seems designed to prevent you from using a mason jar or another pitcher as an alternative. The beaker provided by Oxo is 6 inches tall, but almost all jars that hold 24 ounces or so are 7 inches tall. If this product were just an inch taller one could use a much better pitcher to collect and store the concentrate, like the Bormioli Rocco Hermetic Seal Glass Pitcher Update: I broke my carafe cleaning it---not dropping it---cleaning it... Note that Hario V60 Glass Coffee Server Pour Over Carafe Microwave Safe 1000mL fits perfectly and is sturdier and less expensive that the OXO replacement carafe.
I bought this 12 cup (large)from TJ max for $24 early on in holiday season. It’s Hard to find this size usually. I love it. Simple to use & love this coffee over drip or my keurig. I’ve seen the negative reviews but I have used it daily for 2 months & it’s very easy to use and take apart as well. I do not take the gasket off to clean as I believe this would put repeated wear & tear. The gaskets are easy to replace & should last a long time. I do clean or rinse the pot after every use & it’s easy. Never use handle to tighten or loosen. If you’re not familiar with this kind of coffee making, check out some online videos.
Item delivered broken and it’s not returnable?…I’m not happy at all.
Love it! Low cost, easy to use, SUPER easy to clean, & the coffee tastes great!
This is a nice travel coffee maker. It only has the option to plug into a vehicle outlet. I use it for road trips to heat water for tea as it heats pretty quickly. If you travel and like hot beverages and travel, then this is for you.
Package arrived late as usual for coffeemakers.us.com Prime these days but in good order. The directions were clear and easy to follow for startup. Made a great first cup of coffee, hopefully thousands to follow. When I moved the old one off the counter, (that finally gave it up after years of use) I noticed how much heavier it is compared to the new unit. Hopefully it had a bit of water in the internals. Looking forward to a long relationship over coffee with our new machine. Ty Armstrong Byhalia, Ms
The Nespresso VertuoPlus Coffee and Espresso Maker by De'Longhi is my 2nd Nespresso machine. I purchased it almost six months ago and it has worked well for me. The unit is much quieter than the Nespresso Pixie Espresso Maker I have and it heats up more quickly. For early morning use the Pixie is loud enough to wake up a light sleeper. That is not a worry with the new machine. I like the option to make full size cups of coffee and the selection of pods that came with the machine was varied enough to help me find the flavors I enjoy best. I will keep using the Pixie for espresso until the Veturoline espresso sized pods find a lower price-per-cup. I do think the price per Veturoline pod is high but that does not detract from the machine. I have read some reviews about a problem with scaling. I only use distilled water in all of my coffee machines and although I have only had this machine for just over 5 months, I have used my 1st Nespresso machine almost daily for over 2 years and I have not experienced any scaling issues with it. The Nespresso VertuoPlus Coffee and Espresso Maker by De'Longhi is a good machine and with a fair price. It is easy to use and easy to clean and has a larger water reservoir than expected. If you are interested in trying the Veturoline pods I recommend this machine.
The coffee I making this is fantastic. It’s pretty simple you boil water put in your coffee grinds in the bottom. Pour a little bit of water in there and stir and then add the remaining water and let it sit for four minutes. French press is the best.
I love the look of this espresso machine and it is so easy to use. The espresso taste just like a coffee shop!
If you're s frappe lover like I am, this is a must have! I love it! I use it daily! It pays for itself. No more Starbucks or McDonald's, I make my own. It's so easy!
I own and have used a Rancilio Silvia for almost 18 years. I enjoy the ritual of making an espresso or Latte - but don't always have the time. So I bought this machine for quick fixes. After using it, I think this will be my primary Espresso drink machine It is a fantastic bargain and makes delicious high quality espresso drinks. Pros 1/8th the cost of the Silvia One-step Milk-based drinks Incredibly easy to use Simple clean-up Absolutely delicious drinks Cons Uses proprietary capsules No ability to use my own ground espresso (no adapter)
I do like this little coffee pot. Perfect size for my 2 morning cups of coffee. The pot is very thick and if you warm the pot prior to brewing your coffee it does a nice job of keeping your coffee warm. But the opening for the coffee to drop through is too large. Even when I use extra care to very slowly trickle the hot water over the grinds, the weight just rips through the filter and you have a pot full of coffee grind. Luckily I have a stainless filter that fits perfectly.
While the portability of this espresso maker is unparalleled - light, small, easy to take with you - the inner components makes you wish it was better, the two ‘filters’ that are made of aluminum has holes that are too large for espresso grinds, leading to coffee grinds making it to the top chamber. This could be mitigated with two solutions; getting a finer filter internals or using a coffee filter to make sure the grinds don’t pass to the top chamber. Apart from that, this moka pot is perfect, heats up quick and makes good coffee. Would be 5 out of 5 if the filters were stainless steel and finer holes. This will not be a problem for coarser grinds of coffee but moka pots are for espressos.
I have a small kitchen. I don’t like using more counter space than I can help. I am also concerned about plastic usage. When my my single use coffee maker stopped working I opted for this instead. It makes coffee pretty quickly, it only takes me a little longer to get my coffee than my previous single serve k-cup coffee maker. I am happy to trade off a few extra minutes for creating less plastic waste. I am the only coffee drinker in the house and typically drink one large cup in the morning. It’s perfect for that. It takes up less counter space than my toaster which I appreciate. It comes with the reusable filter but I use the number 2 filters inside of that to make cleaning easier. My only complaint (why I have removed one star) is the lid does not stay open when pouring water, adding coffee. Not a dealbreaker by any means but would be nice if the lid stayed open when I was prepping it.
