So pretty! It's the perfect amount for me and ive only had it for 3 days but I'm so in love! I had a glass one before that lasted a long time until it eventually broke after a camping trip, this one is steel so I really think it will last me forever! I love durable things and things that will last so I hope this is the answer to all my French press needs. This one also stays warm because of the thick inside wall unlike the glass one. Honestly, a bit pricey for me but it beats spending 15 bucks every time your flimsy glass one breaks. The double filter reallly does it's job well, no grounds for meee!
The coffee maker is beautiful in my kitchen. The size is great. Easy to use. Every morning, I put water and ground coffee and once the Brew button is pushed, my whole house smells amazingly good. It brews coffee quickly and remains super hot. The coffee tastes amazing even after hours of brewing. It tastes like a fresh cup of coffee each time. The material holds heat and durability is awesome. Always looking forward to brewing coffee every day.
Love the copper color I had new filters and parts from the previous machine they fit this one too. The previous one had the kcup thing and was a 12cup. The kcup part started leaking after 3 1/2 yrs so upgraded to this 14 cup. So far I like it. Still have to be careful pouring when its full I think I just want to pour it to fast I guess it dribbles. Coffee tastes great. I ended up getting a keurig for k cups cappuccino milk steamer all in one instead of the combined Cuisinart this time. I use both machines. The big pot in the morning the other for a one cup of whatever late in the day. I rarely waste money at the coffee shops cant afford a $6-8 coffee everyday. Have a mix of metalscand chromes love the copper as a contrast. Only complaint is the lid on the pot did same thing on the previous you cant pour quickly or it spills dribbles.
I'm hardly a coffee snob, but I do appreciate a good cup of coffee. I also appreciate buying products from places where employees are taken care of (for sake of argument - at least somewhat) fairly and produce a quality product, so I really wanted to buy a product that was manufactured in the US or Europe. Check, this met the requirement, so I was willing to justify the $330 price tag for a machine that only makes a small pot of coffee. I was shocked to find that the coffee tasted sour and just plainly gross. I was using great quality beans, filtered water, and following the instructions as stated. Well after researching I found that the lead drivers of sour coffee are bad beans (not applicable) and bad brewing (so I dived into this one). There is a huge design flaw with this machine. Other reviewers complained that the water only worked through a few of the drain holes in the metal arm. While more water certainly flowed through the first few holes, all did in fact work for us. Even so, you can see how my coffee brewed. HALF of the beans were not brewed AT ALL. They were completely dry to the touch. What does this mean? Besides a huge waste of money that you spend on your coffee, you get an incredibly inconsistent, often sour cup of coffee. If you take the time to mix the grounds it does taste noticeably better, but who opens his/her coffee machine to mix the grounds in every batch of coffee they make? The answer should be no one. This is a $330 coffee maker with a design flaw that the metal arm does not extend far enough to correctly brew the beans in the filter. Unfortunately we will reach out to customer service as they asked, but plan on returning this machine and just buying a cheaper one that correctly brews coffee. Don't believe the hype.
Absolutely great product! Love it! We love SMEG! Also the fast shipping and packing was excellent, thank you so much! I received the coffee maker sooner then I paid for, great company to buy from! I cannot be happier 🥰
This is a replacement for a Keurig mini that was zapped by a nearby lightning strike. Ordered Aug 27th. Arrived today! Set up is plug in, brew two waters without coffee to clear the plastic flavor/scent and Voila!, excellent coffee being enjoyed over ice here in SW FL! Great size. Very efficient! Also, the liquid being dispensed from first drip is coffee, the Kuerig was six seconds of clear water darkening over time of dispensing. Now I know how Dark Roast is supposed to taste! Good and strong. The Keurig took too long to get the flavor through the plastic cup to deliver a tasty cup! Thanks!
i just got this today, but i noticed several people saying it did not come with directions. This is the first thing i saw when i opened the package. It I am getting ready to use it. It seems well made and easy enough to use. It even comes with a wrench so you can take the spigot off and clean it
Very happy with the ease of use, speed of brewing, quality of milk frothing and taste.
I just love this pour over coffee maker. How simple to make cup of coffee with a mug and a coffee dripper. No more awful office coffee for me! The mug and the coffee dripper are sturdy. The package cames with the mug, the coffee dripper, filters, a spoon and a cleaner. I wish there were instructions how how to brew a cup of coffee with this pour over coffee maker. I have no idea what the spoon is for, how much coffee to put in, and what is that cleaner for?
UPDATE: For clarification, this is the 36 oz. model. I contacted the manufacturer directly about the lid seal and they sent me a new lid no questions asked. It arrived a few days after my email inquiry. The new lid had a good fit and finish and while the seal of the lid to the carafe was a tiny, tiny bit different all works as it should. Great customer service. I would heartily recommend this product especially since I've broken a Chemex and three Bodum/Starbucks glass carafes in the years before buying this one. I used to love this press and I’ve used it almost daily since April 2015. It works great, looks great and seemed nigh indesctructable. However in the last few months I noticed that the lid was collecting water. After some investigation I realized that the pressed in color/sleeve had come loose and I couldn’t work out how to replace it. This seemed like an extravagant purchase at the time but I assumed we’d not have to replace it for a good long time. Is three years an acceptable life? I’ll update this a to five star review if they get back to me with reasonable repair or replacement options.
First off, why do they keep putting these ridiculously sticky stickers on our products?! I ain’t got time for this. Plus I had to use up a ton of my lemon essential oil to get all the goo off. Mine also came with a very visible scratch, but it’s not a deal breaker. This is my first experience with a percolator. I’ve made both coffee and tea in it. For some reason occasionally the liquid spews out of the spout while it’s percolating. I’ve tried putting less liquid in even though it’s not over the max and that seems to help. Coffee grounds will get all up in there even with course ground. I’ve started using a regular paper coffee filter wrapping the coffee up securely and pressing as far down in the basket as possible. It works fine, but I wish there was some kind of reusable option. Both the tea and coffee taste great, so I’m happy. Plus I’m glad there is no plastic that touches my drink. Update: I’m really enjoying my percolator now that I’ve got the hang of it. I now use two coffee filters instead of one with about two heaping tablespoons of ground coffee in each filter wrapped up. I never have any grounds in my coffee. I now use a little over four 8 oz cups of cool filtered water poured over the grounds and there is no spewing out anymore. I found cleaning occasionally with baking soda and gentle scrubbing works well to get the burnt coffee up. I still wish it came with a reusable filter.
Great pour over coffee set! Super easy to use without a paper filter and it cleans easily once grounds are removed/dumped out. The “brewing” process only takes a couple of minutes and was more efficient than expected! Pour spout seems to be no drip and has a nice pour to it. Cleanup is simple with the glass pot, as I am able to fit my whole hand for washing. Would for sure recommend this product!
I have purchased this in January 2023. I have been through 3 replacement. The error is it doesn’t register the single cup brew. All of them have had that issue. I would say it’s a design flaw. I have called Shark/Ninja every time and I’ve had to pay $30 to ship a replacement here and it will fail with the same error. My picture shows the pod adapter in and it should just show the pod but it shows both options. I am a huge coffee drinker and I like the option of a single cup or a pot of coffee. Time to go back to the $20 coffee maker and just make pots of coffee. I’m very disappointed in this brand. They will honor a warranty for a year if you register. After that, it will cost YOU shipping for their defective product. I have over $300 vested in a coffee pot I can’t brew single cups of coffee in. Very disappointed.
I read through a lot of reviews on coffee makers recently before purchasing this one, and we’ve been very happy with it. I noticed a lot of reviewers for this coffee maker having similar issues with cleaning/grinds getting stuck, so I thought I’d write a review and add some pictures of how to clean and maintain this pot. That seems to be the issue. The removable water tank on this is why we bought it and it doesn’t disappoint. Just lifts out and it can stand on its own in the sink which makes it super easy to fill. There is a charcoal filter that sits where the water moves through so filling it from the tap is easy. We previously had a Cuisinart so I’m happy we can still use the same filters. The filter basket is easy to lift out and clean. It comes with a gold one but we prefer paper filters. The manual is VERY specific about using one OR the other, so don’t double up (like we did the first time.) I found Bunn brand filters are slightly taller than standard and work perfect in here. When cleaning out the filter, I just hold the handle with one finger and dump the whole thing in the garbage. Someone complained about the handle getting in the way and making a mess, so that’s how I prevent that. That gets rinsed and put aside to dry after each use. In my pictures next is the inside of the pot where the coffee tank is. At first I thought, how am I ever going to get this clean? After a minute I realized the entire tank simply lifts out by a handle!! I have a feeling a lot of people aren’t taking this out to clean it daily, and that will definitely cause issues. There are some grinds leftover no matter what we do so it’s very important to clean this. I just rinse it a few times and put it aside to air dry. IMPORTANT STEP! On the underside it says to push in on the valve while rinsing the coffee tank so that water flows through. This will keep any grinds from getting stuck. It’s got to be impossible to have issues with this machine if you’re doing this. My last picture shows the top view of the opening where the coffee tank valve meets the “button” to dispense coffee. There is nothing there, nothing to get stuck. This tells me that the issues of the button getting stuck and gunked up with grinds are because people aren’t taking out the tank and finding through the valve often. This machine is really well designed. All extra water in the machine funnels down to the drip tray, so there aren’t any weird puddles or spills. Drip tray is removable, so when my husband has to fill his huge Yeti before work, he just takes it out and leans his Yeti against the edge of the counter. The buttons and functions are easy to use, auto off is customizable which we like. The coffee tank keeps the coffee hotter for longer than your typical carafe. We grind our beans daily and our coffee is very consistent in taste. Our toddler loves to get us our coffee by using the button so that’s a fun extra. Overall, a really great machine with easy to use functions and should last a very long time with proper maintenance as per the manual.
Very sturdy solid stainless steel French press. Happy with purchase, however to my dismay the product was manufactured in China. I was misled in the product description that it was made the the USA. So if it’s important to you to support the USA this is not for you.
