Had this for just under 2 weeks so cannot speak to durability. Pros: The coffee is great and kept hot for a surprisingly long time in the carafe. Easy to clean with a water reservoir openeing large enough to fill easily without spilling or splashing, and large easy to read water level window. Doesn't take up too much space on the counter and the controls are simple. All I require is power and a delay brew option - this has it and is easy to use. Cons: other reviews are correct that this is a noisy coffee maker while it is brewing. Surprisingly more noisy than others I've had. Our kitchen is not super close to sleeping spaces, and we sleep hard, so not a problem for us, but I can see how it might be for others. The biggest con, and really the only 1 that is annoying to us, is the unlit display with a super tiny pm indicator. It says it has a LCD display which sounds great, but it is not backlit so it's very hard to see - as shown in the pic. We live in the country and have periodic power outages and flashes requiring the clock and delay brew time to be reset so a better display would be appreciated. We also don't like a bright kitchen first thing in the morning and without direct light on it, the time is almost impossible to read. Although the setting function is super easy to use, trying to actually see the display while doing so, or use the clock to keep track of time, is not. A lit display and larger 'pm' indicator would make this a 5 star product in my book. Only time will tell if this is a quality product, and the coffee is the most important part - I would give this 4.5 if that were an option.

  • Great little pot. Nice size and makes good coffee, however, I have a gas stove. And repeated use has caused the handle to melt. This pot also has a very specialized spring that is necessary to fit the basket onto the step. It is loose, so is very easy to lose when cleaning the pot.

It sucks pouring. Make sure you have a towel ready to wipe up.

I’ve been using a much smaller coffee maker for a number of years, but whenever I have company I have to brew more than one pot of coffee. I was thinking of getting a larger capacity machine for awhile now. When I saw this one it seemed ideal. I can brew up to 12 cups at a time yet it doesn’t take up much more space than my old pot did. It has some great features, too. I can make my own iced coffee, which is a great money and time saver. I also really appreciate the cleaning feature. Being reminded that it is time to clean and having a button just for that is great! Anything that I don’t have to keep up with like that is a huge bonus. Also a must-have for me is the auto shut off. That way I never have to worry about forgetting. One thing this coffee maker does not have is an Off button. You simply press whatever feature you had turned on to turn it back off. If you have brewed the coffee and want to turn off the pot, you just press brew again, for example. This coffee maker looks nice, has a great capacity, can make iced coffee, and offers a cleaning feature. It also offers a delayed start. With lots of great features this is a very nice coffee maker.

I have been searching for something like this for a while. I need it to be single serve, k-cup compatible, and can make tea. This seems to have everything I just need. I tried it out tonight and it’s satisfying. No complaints so far. It even comes with two different heights of water catcher. Which is good because I saw some reviews here mentioned that the coffee can spill everywhere but which the higher water catcher, this doesn’t seem to be a problem for me. I guess my only complaint so far is that the tea leave holder doesn’t have the max line as suggested in the manual. But that should be fine since I only fill the very low bottom of the tea holder to leave room for it expansion when being boiled. I will post updates if it fails to work in the future.

The machine itself is fairly light weight design typical with Mr Coffee brand products. The cup for heating and frothing milk is extremely nice quality, well insulated, and rubber sides. Very nice. The iced coffee tumbler is also quite nice, thick plastic with a lid that does not leak and a solid straw. The instructions warn you to hand wash as it is not diahwasher safe which is a drawback in my opinion. Even still, it makes a terrific cup of iced coffee, keeping the beverage cold a long time. There is a clever built-in coffee scoop integrated into the machine to accurately measure for either a large iced or smaller cup of coffee. I like the innovation that went into that convenient feature! Unlike pod type machines, this single serve coffee maker requires the desired amount of water be added when brewing. There is no reservoir for brewing successive cups which is a little inconvenient. The amount is regulated by how much water is added each time. It has a large reuseable filter basket and though it requires more grounds than a pod it brews very well resulting in a delicious cup of coffee. The milk frother heats quickly and the little whip creates froth that rivals my local coffee shop. Easy to use, brews quickly, minimal dripping once complete, clean look.

  • Opened box and was clearly used! Was sold as new item. Will post another review when my exchange comes in.

  • I love this little machine. The coffee capsules and espresso capsules make delicious coffee products in this machine. It's very easy to use. I also invested in a set of two stainless steel reusable pods for coffee and espresso instead of buying the capsules all the time. I've used the reusable cups a couple of times and have had good results; still playing around with that though. My only complaint is the huge power cable on this machine. It's way too long, plus it's a super heavy-duty cord with a plug that sticks out from the outlet at least an inch more than a regular plug. The cord is very inflexible making it very difficult to position the machine against the wall because the cord won't bend. Because the water container is at the back of the machine, I can't hide the excess cord behind the machine without making it difficult to get to the water container. AND the machine I have is white and the cord is black. This is one of my pet peeves - a white appliance that has a black cord. Other than the cord issue, the machine itself is very satisfactory and makes good tasting coffee and espresso.

  • Our household is primarily coffee drinkers. I recently started on a health kick and want to start with green tea. So I got the K cup coffee and tea maker so I can make a cup on my own. It's nice and convenient and it really packs a nice flavor. It also doesn't take up a lot of space.

I have an older drip coffee pot that I was happy with until it started getting really noisy toward the end of the brew cycle. Plus, I have different pots for different types of coffee - French press, Moka pot, and a dedicated cold brew pot. All of these combined take up a lot of space, and each has to be used with a source of hot water besides the pot, except for the cold brew pot. I was excited to try the Braun MultiServe Plus Drip Coffee maker because I could have my cold brew, or a small cup of espresso, or a medium sized cup, or really almost any size cup or carafe I want. For all that it does, the coffee maker is relatively compact, and setup was a breeze. The water tank has a carbon filter to help improve the taste of the water. I brewed a single cup of coffee, and the controls were very intuitive - pick a cup size, pick Gold or Bold, and wait patiently. Brew time was reasonably quick, and I brewed Gold which was strong enough for my tastes. My old drip pot would waste a lot of the grounds as the water would not soak about 1/4 of the coffee. The Braun drip configuration lets the water hit all of the grounds, so I get a more flavorful brew. I tried a full pot on Bold, but that was too strong. A second pot on Gold was just right. I tried a 5 oz. cold brew and that came out very strong - I had to dilute the cold brew with another 5 oz. of water and some ice cubes, but the coffee was not bitter and was as good as from my dedicated bold brewer, but in 20 minutes instead of 12 hours. Overall, this is a great coffee maker - easy to use, easy to clean, and very versatile.

Presenta un buen diseño y calidad de sus componentes. Recomendable.

  • I consider myself knowledgeable about percolators because I have been using vintage models for the past six years. Percolators from the 1950s and 60s were a highly polished chrome and sleek in design. I've gone through three of them prior to finally buying a new one. I settled on this model and definitely made the right choice. Here is why I love percolators and how this model ranks: 1) Great-tasting coffee. I've always preferred the taste of percolated coffee. The model doesn't have settings for brew strength like some of the vintage models but the manufacturer's setting is perfect for my taste. 2) Good-looking compared to auto-drip. This model is OK but not as shiny and "mod" in design as the originals, but it's attractive. 3) No need to spend money on filters. No worries about dioxin from paper filters or paper affecting taste. Less waste. Applies here! 4) Pleasant sounding WHOOSH!...WHOOSH! as the coffee heats up and can be seen in the clear bubble top. Applies here except that West Bend has a plastic bubble top instead of glass. That's better in one way because you don't have to worry about breaking it, but I prefer to not have my hot coffee come in contact with plastic. Not a big deal. 5) You can place the percolator filled with hot coffee on a table unlike a glass pot from a auto-drip maker so that if you are entertaining or want to bring the "pot" of coffee with you, simply unplug then remove the plug from the percolator. This model does just that! 6) No splashing or spilling when you pour coffee! The spout on this percolator is precision-perfect. Whenever I poured from an auto-drip carafe it almost always spilled a little no matter how carefully I poured. Keep in mind that you can't submerge a percolator in water. I recommend using filtered water for better tasting coffee and to prolong the life of your percolator. I wash mine by rinsing it out with hot water and I Windex the outside as needed. I've not had a problem with build-up. The inside is stainless so it rinses very well. I'm very happy with my purchase.

This coffee pot is amazing. I don’t need the bells and whistles or complicated menus. This pot makes the best cup of coffee I have ever had. No notice of plastic taste or any issues I read about in other reviews. This coffee pot is legit!

This is ice/ hot and works great. I actually got a whse repacked, which I choose for the price. Item was perfect. One thing to note. The shelf for hot coffee mugs slides out easily and should fit large cups for the ice. See my pictures so you can judge.
