  • I needed a cheap coffee maker for the camper. It's a good coffee maker though it does take 6 minutes to make a cup of coffee. Coffee tastes good.

We had a BDC600XL for many years. It worked fairly well until one day it began leaking from a corroded connection in the machine. I tried to contact Breville on two occasions, sending pictures and emails, but no response. After over three weeks of patiently waiting, I went and bought another coffee maker. This morning, I finally got an email from Breville apologizing for the delay in their response. They no longer support our machine but offered us 25% off a new machine. Too late though since I already bought a machine after not hearing back for them for over three weeks. Therefore, if you are contemplating buying a Breville, be warned that their support and customer service are terrible. I read this assessment of their very poor support and customer service elsewhere and now concur from our experience.

  • Love the coffee maker, very simple and functional! UPDATE: Broke after one month of use.

Product seems nice. Received a box that was tampered with already and had the broken item inside. Seems it was already opened and returned before.

  • It fits in the frig, doesn't take up much room. When it said held a gallon, I am not sure why I thought it would be bulky. It's easy to clean, it's easy to use. No Drips.

  • Good: It's very small. Water is correct temperature. Coffee ready fast. Bad: Lid must be held down while brewing.

  • Just enjoyed a delicious pour over coffee! Love the appearance, nice solid feel. Prepped the base first with hot water and the resulting coffee stayed nice and warm. Highly recommend this, but note it is a small pour over. Washes up beautifully, works well, and makes great coffee.

  • No issues so far, easy to set up and use. Momentary switch is annoying.

  • We’re huge coffee lovers and exclusively drink a french press at home. I’ve had the 32oz version for a little over a year and wanted 50oz so we can both have 2 full cups each. This press is perfect. I’ve had lots of coffee presses over the years, stainless steel is superior to glass no matter how you spin it. You can’t really break it and it holds the heat longer. The 32oz will retire as the camping press. Great price, great durability.

We’ve had quite the run with this coffee maker. In the attached video, I was attempting to review my 1st cup of brewed coffee, and at the very end, while I was trying to pour the coffee out of the carafe the handle slipped off the pot that was full and almost caused a messy disaster. Up to that point I was very impressed at how elegant this coffee maker looked and how unique it worked. You pour fresh coffee beans in the top, which has an airtight seal, and as you need coffee, it pulls the beans down, grinds them and gives you fresh coffee. The machine allows you to choose from a certain size cup to multiple size carafes. What I had noticed is that the manufacturer had failed to provide the appropriate tightening screws for the handle, and therefore it fell off at my first use. I made multiple attempts to communicate with the manufacture, but they did not respond. I was relieved that coffeemakers.us.com allowed me to return And get a replacement without any hassle. It makes great tasting coffee and looks really cool in our kitchen so it was worth another try. I’m disappointed in the manufactures inability to respond but I do appreciate their product. The fact that they forgot a couple of screws wasn’t a big deal as I’m sure it happens from time to time. All in all, we’re happy with the coffee maker, but I did deduct a star because of the lack of response from the manufacture.

My coffee maker bit the big one a couple of weeks ago and I've been keeping my eyes open for a replacement ever since. The caffeine withdrawal (that is probably all in my head) finally made replacing it a priority. I found this little gem. The price was an offer that I couldn't refuse, even if it was a temporary replacement until I found something else. That's not the case with this coffee maker. After using it a few times, I realized I got a really great deal on a really good product. This is a smaller coffee maker which makes it nice because it opens up a lot of possibilities in where I could put it in the kitchen. It brews 5 cups which is perfect for one or two people. If you have a lot of coffee drinkers in your home or office then this one would not work for you. In fact, the size is small enough that I was a little worried about it at first until I used it. My last coffee maker was a 12 cup unit so if that's what you are used to, the difference is going to be quite noticeable but I think that is part of this unit's charm. The size also makes this one a good choice for anyone that has a smaller kitchen, for dorm rooms, studio apartments or anyone that is limited in the amount of space that they have. There are no special bells or whistles on this little guy. It does one specific job. It brews and it brews well. No clock, no timer. Just the basics. This Black & Decker coffee maker does require coffee filters. Even though it is a smaller unit, the regular size filters fit just fine. The filter basket is removable which is a HUGE plus for cleaning. Brew speed is good. Since it is only brewing a maximum of 5 cups, it only takes a few minutes if you are brewing a full pot. I like that because when the smell of fresh brewed coffee hits my nose, I want that first cup right now and this coffee maker accommodates that urge. All in all I'm extremely pleased with this purchase. I have been using this one for a week now and couldn't be happier. At this price I will probably pick up a few more as gifts for friends and family. Anyone that uses a coffee maker that needs a compact model really needs this one in their life! ***UPDATE September 18, 2017*** Just wanted to take a second and say that this coffee maker is still going strong! It has been used to brew a full pot once (sometimes twice) a day since the day it arrived and it is still working like it did when it came out of the box. I'm still very pleased with it.

  • So far, first run, I have a few concerns. Let me start off by saying this thing is super nice. I choose the black frame. It's sexy. And I'm not a fan of using that word to describe things. The craftsman ship is very nice. There are 2 issues I see so far. The valve will not close completely.... It's a chrome plated very nice valve. Is there a fix? Next is the o-ring keeping the coil up and inline with the upper beaker slips and I had to place an object to keep it in place. For the price, that is an annoyance. I'm using 1.5 cup to 8oz liquid. I'll let you know how it goes. 4 stars for now.

  • Used once and the basket cracked in 2 spots...also the water reservoir doesn't hold 10 cups like the craft holds

The only positive about this coffee maker is the looks. This thing is awful. I’ve had it 3 months and the stainless is stained and rusting, the basket holder sags and has needed help closing since I unboxed it. As of this morning both the basket thingy and carafe are leaking. I thought the weak and tasteless brew was a me issue. I now think it’s a coffee maker issue

  • This is best coffee machine I have. Good material no noise and test is perfect Easy to usa and wash. Highly recommended
