  • The first one I purchased was missing the espresso handle so I returned it and requested a new one to be exchanged. The second one was filthy! It was covered in dust, stains, and had obviously been used a lot!

[updated] I just realized the machine I received is a VertuoPlus and not the VertuoPlus DELUXE that I ordered and is clearly stated in the product listing here for the color I ordered (matte black). This explains why the little cup tray isn't metal like my previous one was. 😡 [Original] I ordered this new machine to replace my old one (same model, diff color) that finally broke after a few years. Received order today and you could tell the box had already been opened. I removed the machine and I could also tell the machine was used (marks/scuffs on it) but the kicker was that the sample pack of pods was already opened and 6 of the 12 were missing. The little cup holder part is also cheap plastic whereas the one on my old one was metal (see image). I'm not sure if that is explained by the color difference in the machine. Definitely makes it seem cheaply made though. Because I've been without a machine for a couple days, I did test it and it seems to work (a lot louder than my previous one) though I am most certainly not a fan of receiving a used machine and I don't have a lot of faith that they checked anything with it since the sample box was already open and half the pods were missing. I really don't feel like dealing with a return so unless I find more issues, I'll probabaly just keep it.

This unit has a clear hollow knob at the top so you can see the coffee perk. That's more fun than it sounds like. I fresh grind my beans every morning and I grind my coffee fine to get all that great flavor. I was concerned about this because it does not use filters. Even after I got it when I looked at the basket I thought there was no way I was not going to have a bunch of grounds in my coffee. Just ask my wife, she will tell you that again I was wrong. This thing does a great job. I turn it on and my coffee is done in about 6 minutes. Oh and the filter system built into the thing works. I highly recommend it.

  • This machine can perform many different tasks but merits the most points for convenience and versatility. It includes adapters for K-cup coffee pods, Nespresso, Dolce Gusto, and ground coffee. Compared to my manual espresso machine, this saves me 20 minutes in the morning when popping in a premixed pod of coffee. Plus, I can still use freshly ground coffee when I have the extra time. It needs very little counter space, measuring roughly 11" x 11" x 5", so it's perfect for a small kitchen. The water tank holds about two large cups. Pressing a front button turns the machine on, and it needs about 30 seconds to warm up. It shuts off automatically after about 10 minutes. Coffee's flavor can vary depending on its freshness, grind, pressure, and other variables. I've tested numerous K-cup varieties, some Nespresso pods, and several ground coffees. Although I have used Dolce Gusto pods in Europe, I have not seen any around here. Great coffee still delivers great flavor. Some of the premixed coffee pods tasted delightful, others not so much. The Philz Tesora, a flavor we all loved as a ground coffee, tasted middling as a K-cup pod. The Peets Ricchezza Nexpresso pod tasted amazing. I have never used a Keurig machine, so I can't compare its brew quality to that model. It won't reach the heights of my manual espresso machine, but it's also much cheaper and far more convenient. That's a tradeoff that works for busy people. Yes, the premade cups are expensive compared to ground coffee, but it's still a huge savings compared to ordering a latte from a barista. My pictures show the results of several different brews. I recommend grabbing a frothing tool for a few dollars on coffeemakers.us.com. It adds foam to the final brew and enhances the flavor. I did find the detachable cup shelf too small for most of our coffee mugs, but it's magnetic and easy to remove. Although the manual warns against fine ground coffee, it accommodates a medium-fine grind perfectly. Freshly ground coffee tastes best with this machine, but the convenience of the pods often proves irresistible.

  • I bought this appliance slider hoping to glide my coffee maker across the counter like a pro. Instead, I got a front-row seat to the most obnoxious noise concert of my life. The rollers on the bottom? Well, they sound like a combination of a ratchet wrench and a bag of nails being dragged across concrete. It doesn’t glide; it grinds. Every time I move it, it sounds like I’m giving my countertop a permanent case of the chills. As for the “smooth” rolling action they promised? Yeah, if by smooth, they mean “like dragging a shopping cart with three flat tires.” In summary: If you want to annoy your neighbors, destroy your countertops, and waste your money—this is the perfect product. If you value peace, quiet, and your kitchen surfaces, look elsewhere. Don’t say I didn’t warn you.

Great coffee pot for traveling. It’s a shame they sent me a used, dirty and stained one.

I thought I bought the red one and still am not sure if they don't sell a red one or if I keep getting sent the wrong one. Both times I got one marked Maroon. Maroon does not go with my kitchen colors. I decided to try it out before sending it back the second time just to make sure if was worth the effort for the third time. It seemed to make a pretty decent cup of coffee quickly which was nice and I didn't have an issues with it for the few days I tried it out. I think I will get it again but a black one instead since the blue one is way more than all the other ones. I like its compact size and how it's packed, very convenient to take with you if you are travelling.

  • I disliked that the product arrived with the burner unscrewed. I had to remove the silver casing to screw it back in. Aside from that the product appears to be in good shape.

*PURCHASE REASON: Boyfriend had mentioned in passing that he wanted to try French Press coffee. I had an idea to get him this appliance and a subscription for Atlas coffee and he loved it all! *FAVORITE FEATURE(s): He said it was pretty easy to use! *PROS: -Easy to use -Cute design *CONS: -Some difficulty in hand cleaning (way easier to throw the whole thing in the dish washer) *RECOMMENDATIONS FOR MANUFACTURER: N/A *RECOMMENDATIONS FOR OTHER BUYERS: Watch a tutorial video online! *REASON FOR STARS: 5 STARS because he reported no issue with using it (besides the cleaning). This was one of the best gifts that he liked!

  • It looks really nice. The color is elegant. It is good for drip coffee and very easy to clean.

LOVE IT! I needed to get a coffee maker that made everything because since COVID I’ve been getting a lot more starbucks and it was beginning to get expensive. In an effort to save money, I looked for a new machine that could make things like lattes and cappuccinos. Stumbled across this and as soon as I saw that it had an automatic warmer and frother, that was all I needed to hear! I’m absolutely in love with it! If you’re a huge latter drinker, this is the machine for you! You make your coffee like you regularly would, put the cup in and select the size and if you want it strong. Then you get the cup, which has indicated lines on the inside for how much milk to put, & add your milk. To give it that extra ✨Starbucks✨ Feel, I use my regular oat milk and add my creamer so that I don’t have to add sugar or anything else to it. The machine once you hit the latte setting and it’s done brewing the coffee will both heat up and froth your milk for you! It’s amazing! I love that I can literally put a kcup in the machine, put milk in a cup, press a button & just walk away and this machine will do everything. Get it! If you’re on the fence, just do it! It’s so worth it! I save so much money making my coffees at home now! I even picked up some of those disposable coffee cups with cute designs on them from Homegoods and if I need a coffee on the go I just use one of those! Or my reusable cup from Starbucks.

First of all, product arrived with a few scratches here and there and a small dent. It is very hard to pour coffee from this and ends up all over the place (may be due to dent!) there’s little to no foam even when you use slow brew option and what’s a Turkish coffee without the foam ? It is supposed to keep the coffee warm for 35 mins. You are lucky if you get 5 mins! Not worth the money at all. It just gives you a boiling water taste and you cannot even taste the coffee! I was very hopeful about this product since I cannot start my mornings without Turkish coffee and drink at least 6-7 cups a day but unfortunately I’ll be returning it. Dreams shattered.

  • Just arrived, opened it, cleaned it up, then made a cup of coffee ☕️. Really fast. Different levels for different sizes of cups and mugs, holds it right up there so coffee doesn't splatter everywhere. Great flavor brewed. Only 1 button to push. Easy to use. No warming plate underneath, just grab a cup and go. Highly Recommend.

This French press works perfectly with my jet boil flash. This was the perfect addition to my back country coffee routine. I only wish I would’ve bought this years ago.

WOW! Finally we have a great coffee maker which really brews a great cup of coffee. Over the last 3 years or more we have gone through several different brands of coffee machines. Granted none of them cost over a hundred dollars or were real high end machines.....but we just never got a good tasting or real hot cup of coffee. Some of these broke, and some we just threw out. We are in our mid 50's my wife actually was in coffee sales for several years and now she says, "This is the Best Coffee Maker she's ever had". Prior to making this purchase we read many many reviews, and we always look at the good reviews (4 and 5 star) and the bad reviews (1 and 2 star) prior to making a purchase decision. We looked at coffee makers with high end brand names which have been around a long time and looked at machines with a price point from $50 to $130.00. We were willing to buy in that price range and didn't care....we just finally wanted a good machine which would brew a great cup of coffee and one that would last. What we love about this machine is it brews a very hot cup of coffee. Regardless of the quality of your coffee beans or ground, if your machine won't brew at the proper temperature you just won't get the full potential and flavor from your coffee. Second if your water doesn't steep long enough with your grounds.....again you just won't get the flavor you desire. This Cuisinart does both and we are SO happy! The features are wonderful. It is the BOLD setting on the display panel which will steep the grounds longer for that full flavor that many of us desire. Apparently the heating element is great quality because you get a truly hot cup of coffee. Other features we like about the machine is it has an easy changeable charcoal water filter in it (comes with filter) even though we put very pure water in anyways. The water reservoir is also very easy to see how much water is actually in the machine. The large 14 cup size glass carafe is nice when we have company over. There is also a carafe temperature button which allows you to select a low, medium, or high temperature to the warming plate depending on how hot you want your refills. Another really great feature this machine has which impressed me is the Clean Button on the display panel. At first I thought that was a button you'd use when you want to clean the machine. It is not. What it actually does is lights up RED when it is time to decalcify the machine. How great is that! The machine comes with a great instruction booklet as well. There are other features but this is what we like best about it. I will write one more very important point which we realized right away but took time to test for a while before writing this review. Because our other machines did not have a bold mode button and did not allow water to be in the brew basket long enough....we always added more coffee to the basket desiring a stronger fuller flavored cup of coffee. Now we find it is never necessary to do that. We were going through a 12 oz. bag in about a week and now with this coffee maker the same bag, and with us drinking the same amount of coffee lasts over 2 weeks! Now that's real dollars in savings. We drink Fresh Cup Of Hope Organic Direct Trade coffee. It's not cheap coffee, but oh so delicious. So even though I PAID $76.00 for the machine, because of the savings this coffee machine actually COST me nothing! Get it? That is real savings and as my wife said......it's the best machine we ever owned and she can't wait to wake up each morning to a Fresh Hot Cup of Coffee.
