The only thing I'd say bad is about the advertisement of the product. It is not the same french press that is pictured which many others also expressed. I was concerned about the quality of the glass as I had read other reviewers indicating it broke as soon as they started using it. That was not the case in my experience. The glass is more stout than I expected. I like the look, and feel of it. The coffee tastes good. The filter does its job and keeps ALL grounds out. Something my previous french press did not do. I get two coffee cups full of coffee. I'd recommend it. For as cheap as it is, it is better than I expected. Just don't expect what is advertised. All in all, easy to use, easy to clean. I hope to have it forever.
I bought this to replace one from another seller here on coffeemakers.us.com my daughter had bought me for Christmas .. it only lasted 7 months before the control buttons stopped functioning properly. Overall, this one appears to be a little better made and, so far, functions well; here are my pros & cons: Pros: 1. The water tank holds enough water for 4-5 8-10oz cups; I normally only have 2, but if I have a guest, this perfect. 2. The removable-adjustable rack allows for easy accomodation our 'regular' sized cups, our larger mugs & most of our travel mugs. 3. Easy, one button operation; simply press the button for the size cup you want to brew. 4. Brew quality/taste is good. Cons: There really is only one that I've found; you are limited to three brewing sizes - 6oz, 10oz & 15oz. Ones I've owned in the past have offered a few more selections, to include 8oz and 16oz - both of which I used primarily. If you look at the cup in the picture with 49er emblem, it is the size of most of coffee cups; our old 8oz setting would fill the cup leaving enough room for a little cream if used; the 6oz setting on this brewer fill it a little over halfway & the 10oz setting will overflo.
This is great french press!! I was looking at other big name brands with high prices but some of the parts on those were plastic. This French press is all metal except for the rubber seal. It makes a good cup of coffee and no bits get past the press. It’s feels like it will be past down to my kids how well it is built
Our old Coffee maker decided to bite the dust right before Christmas and decided to upgrade to a better machine. After many reviews I chose this maker and happy I did, it makes a fantastic cup of coffee. The features I really like is the flow control, you can make the flow slower for a longer steep time if you want a even stronger coffee. If you get a nice dark roast, this machine really brings out the flavor and richness unlike any other coffee maker I have owned. The overall quality of this machine is top notch and has a design characteristic that is unique. Another great thing is how easy this machine is to clean up. You can fully disassemble the basket, water neck, etc for quick thorough cleaning. Another feature which is nice is the auto shut off and warmer settings...not only do you not have to worry about going off and leaving it on but you can also keep the coffee from burning as you drink from it throughout the lazy mornings. The only thing I dislike about this particular machine is that it is 10 cups but you are only getting 10 cups if you were to use something like a english tea cup...we have what I would consider average american sized coffee cups and have to usually make two pots in order to actually get 10 cups out of it. Besides that, I'm very pleased. Overall, it makes great coffee, easy to clean up, high quality product, and looks great in our kitchen My machine also came with a 5 year warranty....that's unheard of in this era of disposable appliances. This thing is built Very durable which explains the warranty.
I would like to say how much I love this purchase, and I do, minus one annoying issue. You cannot pour without spilling all over the place. It just doesn't allow for a streamline pour. There are added features to this pot that I do appreciate. The clock, the capacity, the brew time, and even the timer. I liked the fact that it came with a scoop and a filter. If I could just figure out the preferable way to pour a cup, I'd go from liking to loving.
If you love constant cleaning, you’ll love this. While it does make excellent coffee and does look cool, its single serve use leaves a lot to be desired. No tray for your coffee cup- splatters everywhere as it drips into the cup. Then you have to take out filter and filter basket holder and clean them both. So to save one KCup in landfill you use 5 gallons of water and lose 5 minutes of your life cleaning your $350 coffee pot that does the exact same thing many sub-$100 grind and brews do. The app is very nice and convenient. The carafe isn’t heated, only insulated. The water tower leaks and the base doesn’t detach in any way to clean. The coffee grinds get everywhere. Like you’re probably thinking- it won’t happen to mine just a few other people purchased. Well, it seems like they all get pretty messy. Cafè almost nailed it with this product, but just didn’t get it right. Returned mine and went with Delongi trubrew
I love the looks, the color, it’s simple and easy to use. However, filling it with water is a pain. You get an itty bitty spot to pour it in and it will leak all over. I’m keeping it for looks.
I thought I had purchased an awful box of coffee pods. The culprit, my Keurig, had me questioning a well-known, consistent coffee brand. I popped the same pod into my new Bella coffee maker, and my blonde coffee tastes light and enjoyable, just as it should! As it turns out, my Keurig machine was producing the burnt and bitter flavor that had my mouth turning downwards in disgust. This new machine allowed me to actually taste the nuances of my coffee. I believe the reason for the foulness was the inaccessible pod enclosure. Nearly impossible to clean with its tight crevices, my old unit’s design couldn’t be effectively scrubbed without much effort. And, the needle of the pod holder would scratch me. None of the parts were able to be dismantled. I would bring the unit to a running faucet, which could‘ve been a fire hazard. Conversely, this Bella machine breaks down completely into its separate pieces for proper cleaning and health. Additionally, engraved into the machine are directions for cleaning, a pleasant reminder. I tend to go through a bag of grounds quickly with the single-serve maker I own. This traditional pot slows the use of such an expensive product. I love that I can also switch from a full carafe of coffee to a pod seamlessly. The pot warmer is an added touch. The water tank has a great capacity, and yet doesn’t require a high minimum-fill. One can pour in just what’s needed. I’m ecstatic to ditch my two outdated, worn units, and assume this one that is gorgeous enough to deserve real estate on my kitchen counter.
OK what I like about this coffee maker is it's very convenient to make one cup of coffee at a time. My wife has to have decaf and I don't; this Keurig makes that no problem. I have found that using fresh ground coffee instead of the pods (which taste gross) gives me a very good cup of coffee. I bought re-usable brew cups and there is one brand that really works well with this maker to give me the cup of coffee I like, but they're expensive. I bought two of them and then decided to try a set of four that were cheaper than just the one, but I couldn't get a good cup of coffee out of them. What I don't like: 1. My first Keurig K-Supreme lasted almost one year. I accidently lifted the top up while it was brewing and that was that! It quit working and nothing could revive it. 2. I Bought a second Keurig K-Supreme on 9-12-22 This morning 12-4-22 I ran it through the descaling mode and it burned itself out on the last rinse...I think it needed more water in the reservoir, I was surprised that the K was still flashing with only about 1/3 cup of water in the tank. but who knows. It will probably get replaced via the warranty, but I don't know that with 100% sureness yet. 3. Descaler, cleaning pods and filters - it's a bit of a needy machine! 4. Environmentally these things are a disaster! If you're buying your coffee in plastic pods, just stop and think about that! A college research team has found particles of plastic in the atmosphere, at a much higher level than was suspected, by sampling the air at the top of a mountain peak!
It is so nice to have coffee again. It is easy to fill the water reservoir. The Popgrip works great as a handle for the Keurig coffee maker lid.
I bought this to replace a Keurig K-Supreme Plus that died in just under a year (I liked the usability of the K-Supreme, but the build quality/longevity was terrible.). This Cuisinart machine is great, with only one flaw and one inconvenience. First the positives (*s mark the points that were a problem on the K-Supreme plus): - feels very solid - easy to clean* - large water capacity - reusable filter plus paper filters available (paper filters are advertised for kcarafes) - reusable filter allows stronger coffee* (See video) - convenient auto off functionality - makes coffee cup sizes consistently* - makes a good cup of coffee consistently* -easy to change the coffee cup size, and you can set the default size in the menu. It's not labeled as 'default' so that can be confusing. (Menu and cup selection shown in video.) The flaw: The design of water refills is awkward. The elderly, or folks with coordination issues, might have a problem refilling the water, especially if kept on a counter under top cabinets. The reservoir is awkward to handle and heavy, and requires some dexterity to align correctly. With the K-Supreme, refills were as simple as filling and placing a pitcher. This was the only strong pro for the K-Supreme Plus - it was a dream to refill. But with the Cuisinart, there is no handle on the water. There is also an alignment bump out that you must slide the reservoir down onto (See video). It's totally doable for most folks, but it does require decent hand strength and some coordination. (I was using one hand in the video, it's easier with two hands.) The inconveniences: - If you frequently use loose coffee, the aftermarket plastic or metal reusable kcups don't work well. (The included reusable does though.) For paper filters, you will have to use the included reusable filter and purchase the kcarafe filters, which are not available in a covered model. This means that, even with a paper filter, the reusable filter's pod will need a daily rinse to remove grounds pushed up to the cap of the reusable pod. (See video). Overall I'm very happy with this purchase. This machine is solid and resolves the annoying and ultimately fatal issues with the K-Supreme Plus. We are back to a functioning morning coffee routine!
I love the ease of use. The coffee has such a great flavor. I never knew this was so easy! I had a friend that introduced me to the concept of French press coffee and it has been alot of fun exploring it by trying different coffee flavors, brewing times etc. the other day I tried cold brew, which turned out very good, and very strong. I may buy a different one for cold brew though, one that can make a larger amount. This size is fine for a cup of coffee that takes about 10 mins to make but cold brews taking hours def not. It’s kinda a pain to rinse out, but honestly worth the effort!
After not even two months, the touch screen just stopped working! It does not display anything at all except for what I’ve pictured. Don’t waste your money on this product!
I loved this Insta KCup/espresso machine. Thoroughly enjoyed using it, until a few days ago. The K-Cup side stopped working. I was going to buy the same one but started reading reviews and decided against it. It served me well, but I will be looking for a new coffee friend.
Worked for exactly one year then, despite rigorously following the instructions regarding, cleaning, cooling and not overloading, it stopped heating. So is it worth buying each year? If the batch size was larger maybe yes but in its current configuration it is too much trouble to buy a device that is unreliable too.👎
