I had it 1 week. Worked fine until today; now it won't turn on. Yes it's plugged in. I tried different outlets - no go. No coffee for me today. So unhappy.
We got this brewer for Christmas & have made coffee with it about 3 times now. Each time I noticed that the water seemed to pour quickly through 4 of the holes & nothing came out of the others. Upon closer inspection,n I noticed that some of the holes at the bottom of the water tub are much larger than others. I'm not sure if this is normal but have tried contacting the company & will update you with what they said.
We got ourselves a similar version of a mini coffee maker for K-cups to use on our camping trips. Unfortunately, that unit turned out to be quite a hassle to use. It has a 6oz (about 177.44 ml) marking, but it had to have more water, otherwise it would leak. It also took forever to warm up the water. In comparison, this unit is super-fast to heat, it works well for either K-cup capsules or your own ground coffee. I specifically tested it with a 6oz selection because the design has to utilize minimum amount of water and have it hot from the get go. It excelled with both the k-cups and the ground coffee. It has a window on the side for the fill level, although I wish the markings would have been darker color to allow only a glance at. Bottom line, we fall in love with this tiny unit. Super functional for our camping trips. Takes no space, and will brew coffee for both winter and summer, and do even tea (we have different tea in K-cups). It is so compact, convenient, and light that we started to use it when we sit or entertain outdoors, plugged in the outlet in the gazebo. A pitcher of water and k-cups next to it and some disposable hot drink cups. A pleasure.
After using our K2500 for about a month, we were shocked to find it leaking from the bottom in our new kitchen after coming back from a weekend away. Fortunately we found no water damage to the counter or floor. We dried it up and placed it in a pan. We then called Keurig Support August 31,2021. We were told someone would get back to us in two days. No call. We called back multiple times over the next month (9/21,9/24,9/30,10/1,10/5). We were told it would be given the highest priority multiple times. Still no call back. Both the K2500 and Keurig Customer "Care" are broken. Warranty support is non-existent so far. This level of support is unacceptable for any product but especially a pricey commercial product. We did have a problem with another consumer Keurig coffee maker maybe 8-10 years ago. We called, describe the problem and received an immediate replacement within a few days. Based on our experience, Keurig no longer is standing behind their products.
the container is indeed stainless steel. the center plunger post and top are not. the photo shows the metal oxidization that comes from lightly wiping the center post. the same will happen with the inside portion of the top. i've tried several units and find the same on the less expensive units (though I paid almost $60 for this trash). also the box says 52oz, but the inside of the pot has a max. fill line at 45oz. be aware of the garbage out there unless you prefer your coffee with metal scum.
*** Update *** After owning the unit for about 6 months I needed to descale it. In the middle of a descaling on a rainy day, the unit stopped working. It's dead Jim. Taking it apart I discovered what I can only imagine was their idea of a safety device. A tampon balanced on a switch. When it expands due to moisture/wetness it pushes the switch inside and disconnects the power. However, it will never contract! So you will either need to take it in for repair, or you toss it. (or you fix it like I did if you're handy) A rather sad and cheap bit of built in obsolescence in the name of safety. Oh and you cannot find replacement parts for it online. I tried to lookup the device to see what it was and could not no parts for the inside for do it yourself repairs. :( I still like the unit otherwise, but their choice of cheap safety kill device is pretty insane. Our previous Cuisinart unit blew up after about 2 years. But we liked the added features so we went with another one. I often push 16 Oz out of my little SF Coffee pods using 12 oz and 4 oz settings. Which this makes nice and easy. Positives: It holds plenty of water. More so than a friends 2.0 Actual Keurig unit. It has a clock but the clock feature can be turned off. (not another forced power failure reminder) It pumps a little slower than our old one, but that seems to help it get more flavor out of the coffee. It comes with a reusable pod. The pod holds a lot more coffee than generic ones but.. Negatives: Their reusable coffee filter is more of a pain to take in and out compared to the generic ones. Because the water tank is so thin it can be easy to spill water if you pore it in over having to remove it and refill it. ** A reminder to either not use or replace the little tank filters frequently and clean it every so often with vinegar . Depending on your water they can start to grow bacteria.

I’m going to start out by saying that machine had water in it upon removing it from the box. I’m not sure if this means it’s used/returned/refurbished. Perhaps that means it underwent some kind of QC testing. I’m really unsure. Anyway, this machine seems to be a bit finicky for me. I tried for 30 minutes this morning to pour a double espresso. The machine would just sit there and vibrate across the bar, knocking the espresso glasses off it, and not pouring. I finally gave up and went and bought coffee. I decided to try again a few hours later. This time I pressed the button and it poured as it should. The steam wand seems to have a mind of its own sometimes. I need not to turn the dial to the steam mode but it still turns on and works. The water reservoir holds a great amount of water. Definitely more than you would ever need in a day. The color and look of this machine is stunning. It’s retro and a beautiful shade of green. It really stands out. The machine is quite loud and vibrates a good bit. We joked and said it sounds like the low tone of a cargo ship horn. But, it’s true. Overall, this is a decent machine. Perhaps I got a returned/refurbished unit and that’s why it has these quirks.
When I got married I just had to bring it with me, and I love how my daughter gets to enjoy something from her mommy's childhood. I don't know how, but the Mr. Coffee Cocomotion Hot Chocolate Maker still works soo well! Clearly worth the $200+ it goes for. The important thing to remember is that the machine has to rev up a little bit, similar to a Nespresso machine, and then the magic happens.
I love, Love, LOVE this coffee maker. I have, until now, been a Keurig user and have gone through my share of Keurigs, returned damaged Keurigs, and tried the latest and greatest Keurig. What a waste of time and money! The last Keurig I bought was $169. It was LOUD, slow, took the water way too long to heat up, and was a pain to use. RETURN! I went online to search out Keurig-style machines, based on reviews, and went with this Cuisinart machine. BEST. DECISION. EVER! It is compact, sleek, clean looking, runs efficiently, is ready immediately upon turning on the power, runs fast, quiet, and clean. When you flip up the head to insert a pod, the pod base stays in place, unlike the Keurig, which lowers and raises when you open it (I could not place a mug on the tray until AFTER I inserted a pod because of this ridiculous design by Keurig). With the Cuisinart, only the lid pops up and the base stays in place. The water reservoir allows you to fill it almost to the top, efficiently utilizing the entire compartment (unlike a Keurig). You can easily fit a tall ceramic mug with the drip try in place, but if you use a travel mug, like I often do, the drip tray easily moves off the base and is just as easy to put back in place. Brew time is quick. Coffee is hot. Coffee is delicious and clean tasting. Once the machine finishes brewing, it doesn't have a lingering drip, like the Keurig does. Three final quick drips and you are good to go. The programming of this coffee maker is super easy, with all the right options and more brew sizes than I remember my Keurig having. I can't say enough good things about this machine. I've had it for about a month now; I use it every day, at least 3-4 times and I am nothing but impressed with it's performance!
I purchased the Certified Refurbished offering. It arrived well packaged and in good working order.
It’s compact size makes it great for it’s intended use, as we travel from our sold home in California to our new home in Idaho. We’ll be stopping along the way, and will want what we consider to be “good” coffee.
To accommodate tall travel mugs the lower silver lined bottom tray has to be removed, an easy task. The water reservoir holds, and is marked for for a single cup of coffee. Our metal Contigo Travel Mugs are (about) 16 & ¾ Inches tall with out their lids. The water reservoir water fills our Contigo cups about 2/3’s full. Great if you take your coffee the cream and sweetener. The thing now to be aware of is .... your patience.
Here is how I proceeded:
• Plug unit into a power outlet. • Place coffee cup below. • Pour water into reservoir, up to the bottom of the red upper border. • Open lid in front and insert your favorite brand of coffee pod. The act of opening the front lid powers up the unit. • Close lid. This presses the coffee pod into place. • If you prefer STRONG coffee, press that button first, then press the big round silver button/disc on top of the unit. • An indicator light, on top, will flash, indicating the unit is working. • THIS IS THE POINT WHERE YOU MUST BE PATIENT. While operational, the unit is not the FASTEST device ever created. However, given a few minutes the water drains from the reservoir into the unit, is heated, then runs through the coffee pod and into the cup. When not making coffee, there is a storage compartment that holds 9 Coffee Pods. When you’re done, dry the Keurig parts off, pack it up (re-assemble, if you will) & away you go! So far it is a fine purchase, I recommend it! . .
Initially I really liked this product it would have rated it 5 stars however after 6 months of use the Mason jar broke with a full 8 cups of liquid inside of it leading that to spill all over the floor and counter.
I have always wanted to buy a Nespresso machine. I love the coffee it makes, but it has a slight leak.
Update: After only four months the glass has developed a crack. I was extremely careful as the glass seemed too thin to begin with. Also, the rubber tip that covers the tip of metal quickly wore down which made cleaning difficult. Off it goes to the trash. Original: Looks good and works well. The coffee comes out clean with no grounds. The glass comes out easily for cleanup.
The hinge action on this is pretty aggressive. To the point where using this twice a day for less than a year, the plastic around the hinge broke. The machine still works, but this is pretty ugly and disappointing. The first machine we received was obviously used, so we returned that one for this. Would not recommend because of these issues. It is however the only k-cup / nespresso I have found.
