Espresso machine is narrow and very well made. Doesn’t take up a lot of counter space. Easy to use, and makes a great cup of espresso.

  • Very excited, was able to use it with our candle warmer showing the kids that you don’t have to have electricity

When chemex filter prices started going out of sight I shopped coffeemakers.us.com and found the Melitta 640616 Coffee Maker, 52 oz, Glass Carafe. This system works great for a reasonable price. The filters are readily available at a good price too. I like how it fits on the top rack of my dishwasher. The filter cone is fluted so the water flows evenly and quickly through the grounds. Great pour over system. I don't plan on using anything else from now on.

Our old Breville died after 6 years. I was on the fence about spending this much money on a coffee machine, but it really does make some of the best coffee I’ve ever ever had. It’s fairly intuitive, looks neat and feels pretty well-made.

  • The espresso produced tastes worse than a hand-pressed espresso machine. When I received the item, its outer packaging had already been unpacked.

Lovely fluted pour over for single cup. Rather thin, fragile porcelain. Does not come with filters. Overall nice product.

  • I was very happy that coffeemakers.us.com had this coffee pot. I had given away our electric coffee pot and regretted it because of having a Keurig water dispenser. I prefer the percolated ground coffee.

I'm obsessed. My mom bought this for me, and I now prefer my homemade cold brew over buying it from a coffee shop. It is easy to use, but I've found that filling it up with ground coffee to this line gives me the best flavor.

Old OLD 5-cup maker on/off switch shorted out. Replacement with same brand / model not available for weeks. NEEDED COFFEE. This seemed a reasonable choice. Even had extra feature the old one didn't, drip stop to remove pot to get coffee before brew cycle is complete. So, what's wrong with it? - Drip stop ALWAYS drips a puddle of coffee onto hot plate. Doesn't matter whether pot pulled out while brewing or WELL AFTER brewing complete. Seems as if it must catch some coffee and it stays in the drip stop waiting for pot to be pulled out so it can spill onto plate. - Pot spout ALWAYS drips coffee while pouring. The spout is very narrow and shallow and has a deep curve back toward the body of the pot. No matter how slowly I start the pour surface tension ALWAYS pulls coffee back to the side of the pot at beginning of pour and then it drips down the pot and stains/wets anything the pot is set down on. Pouring quickly to beat the surface tension doesn't work because the spout is too narrow and shallow. Pouring quickly just causes coffee to contact the lid and go all over the place. - Narrow reservoir fill area and apparatus in fill area makes for splashing water on counter if not slow and careful filling reservoir. Viewed from top the coffee maker is basically two different size circles connected by two lines that are tangent to each circle. The circle over the coffee pot is the larger one. The circle over the reservoir is the smaller one. The coffee maker narrows at the reservoir where it needs to be filled and has stuff obstructing the fill area. Used it for a while, about a week now, to be sure I wasn't unhappy just because is "different" than my old one. That's not it. Didn't have these problems with old one. And, even though old one didn't have drip stop, was enough room to slide out pot and slide in cup to catch brewing coffee and then fill cup with coffee already in pot then slide cup out and pot back in without getting coffee all over hot plate. Replacing this coffee maker. :-(

  • After 2 weeks of daily use, a small plastic piece broke from the mechanism in the spout of this device. Missing this small plastic piece renders the French Press useless. When pouring and depressing the lever, no coffee comes out since the rubber seal remains in place. Why is this product designed in such a convoluted way? Way too many moving parts for a French Press.

This was my first time having a cold brew pitcher. The filtered cylinder is awesome with small holes to not allow coffee grains inside the cold brew. I am hoping I got the right ratio for a smooth cold brew taste. I used a 1 cup coarse ground coffee to 6 cup water ratio. The quality of the product is no other. It has a great size and is extremely easy to use. It comes with some brushes to clean the inside of the silver cylinder and brush out the grounds. I will be back to update this review as I get to know the product some more.

We had a very old electric percolator like this where the contacts corroded and plug burned up. It worked faithfully almost every single day for years. But, as electronics and heat goes, it eventually crapped out. We went to the big coffee machine that starts with a K that is all the rage these days. It's alright, I hated it at first compared to the percolator, but got used to it. But, we went ahead and got this percolator, almost exactly the same thing as what we had before, and I'm glad to remember the taste of real coffee. First, if you don't have an understanding of how this works, I'll explain, and it's perfectly logical. In all other coffee machines, the water heats up, and trickles its way through the coffee grounds, then into your pot to drink, whether it be by drip or by pressure. This heats up the water, which goes up to the top, trickles through your coffee grounds, back down into the bottom, and continually cycles itself through up through the grounds repeatedly making a rich coffee. Just like any coffee machine, it might take you a little to experiment if you like cream, how much coffee to put in for strength, etc. But, it is really one of the best, if not the best way to make coffee. When I used to work more out in the field, I would bring a manual stove heated percolator to work. I made coffee for the others, and everyone would ask what kind of coffee it was because it was so good. The real trick was that it wasn't so much the brand of coffee as it was the percolator. Same thing, only I used a propane camp stove to heat it up, this is electric. Although all my coffee thus far has been smooth with no grounds, I remember at times the older one would sometimes have a few grounds at the bottom of the coffee. At first, we used to use the paper filters to prevent this, it works fine as long as you don't overfill it, but it was costly and a pain. We reverted back to just putting the coffee in the basket as is. From past experience with this type of coffee, there may be a few grounds here and there, but as a man, you just chew down on them coffee grounds, and it ain't no big deal. If you're feeling really weak, you just drink it all up until that last little bit where they may be a few grounds, it's really not that bad. So, if you want a good cup of coffee in the morning, get yourself a percolator like this. While picky about my coffee I'm not snobby. If you're snobby you probably want some kind of barista kit. But, sometimes the old fashioned way is a beautiful thing.

  • I bought my mom a mini keurig and thought it was cute…so instead of paying a lot for another, for myself, I chose to buy THIS little unit for half the price. It’s much smaller than my mom’s, but oh so cute n PERFECT for my limited space. Works great, coffee tastes great and it looks so cute. Exactly what I need for a quick cup. Yes it takes a minute or 2, but that just gives me time to froth my creamer for the PERFECT cup of Jo ❤️ pics should give u a good idea of the size.

Positives: Made a tasty cup of coffee relatively quickly. Easy to program. Negatives: Broke after 8 months of normal home use. Having to deal with Braun customer service. If you're thinking of buying this one because of the warranty, the reputation of the brand, or because you think that spending a bit more on this vs. a cheap coffee maker will get you a reliable, long-lived machine - look elsewhere as you'll be making the same mistake I did. I kept the machine clean and only used it once a day. Even with that, it bit the dust in less than a year. Braun is slow to respond to emails and I've been waiting a month for a replacement machine, with no ship date in sight. I ended up replacing this coffee maker with a simple machine assembled in the U.S. (the Bunn BX) as it cost just slightly more than this one. I hope to have that machine for at least 5 years (hopefully longer). I am sorry that I contributed another object to the landfill by taking a chance on this Braun.
