I like that this French Press is dishwasher safe! It removes the hassle of needing to hand wash this french press. I am all about saving time and this french press works great in my busy schedule without needing to compromise on taste quality. What I love most is how beautiful the Simpli Press looks on my kitchen counter. It is as much a statement piece as it is a functional coffee french press. I am happy that I can enjoy making my coffee without throwing away those horrible coffee pods. With this French Press, I can make my coffee in an environmentally-friendly way. I love my Simpli Press!
Installed quick. I tied this into my fridge water line. It came with plastic push to fit connectors to tie into the line but I bought metal 1/4 OD connections at Home Depot for a better install. The water level stays almost full even when brewing a 12 cup pot. The float fills faster then it can brew and stops filling perfectly when done brewing. The float has no issues fitting into the K-Duo water tank. I recommend for anyone. I’m going to buy another one for my breville next.
Have had no issues until this morning. There was so much pressure built up in the reusable coffee pod while brewing my cup o Joe this morning it exploded open spray hot water and grounds all over me and the kitchen. I thought maybe I didn’t have the pod in right, so I cleaned it up and tried again with the same conclusion. The espresso side works fine.
Thank you
I had the exact same model for about 4 or 5 years and it finally stopped working after a couple of months of not shutting off. Still worked fine to make a cup of coffee until it didn't. Nice thing is this will fit tall coffee tumblers and the spikes that penetrate the keurig cups have been upgraded from 1 to five which I assume allows for better water spraying through the coffee. Can't beat it for the price. If this lasts another four years I'll be very happy.
This machine has been making coffee for me and my family for 4 years now. Not once did it break nor did it show any issues. I’d definitely buy it again when I move to Richmond.
I bought this model 10-2014 and still use it daily. I updated to a Bunn thermal carafe from glass and installed a Kasa smart plug on the power cord. I set the smart plug to turn on at 05:00 and off at 09:00. Sometime in that window I make a pot of coffee into the thermal carafe and it says HOT all day. Overall, we are still extremely happy with the unit. We used to buy a new consumer grade plastic coffee maker annually. They would break or melt and it just was not worth trying to fix. The only caveat is it is not easy to clean or descale. I only knock it one star because I love it, but please read my explanation. I use a product specifically for cleaning stainless. It is hard to remove kitchen grease spots and finger prints without scratching the stainless. I understood all this beforehand and was prepared to cope. Descaling was a different story. I use the included cleaning spring weekly as outlined in the instruction manual. It goes really fast; not a problem. We have fairly hard well water and it takes its toll on everything. I boil the spray head in vinegar to loosen up deposits occasionally. It just unscrews from the unit. I knock off the big stuff with a toothpick and make sure it stays clean. As the unit ages, the scale builds up in the internal tank. This causes the unit to boil the water in the internal tank when the thermostat cycles the heater. When the unit gets a little loud, I just install an empty funnel and cycle a gallon or 2 of vinegar through the warmed up unit into a glass carafe. You have to then cycle an absolute butt load of water through the unit before your next coffee brewing session. I wonder if Bunn offers a machine to clean the internal tank; like heater technicians use to descale boilers. It could be something that would replace the fill basin inlet fitting on the tank lid and connect to where the spray head threads onto. In 08-2022 the brewing cycle was getting long, about 15 minutes. I completely disassembled the unit and thoroughly cleaned the entire machine, inside and out. I found the lime scale had restricted the opening in the tank lid from the basin. This caused the poured water to stay in the basin and increase my brew time. After cleaning the entire unit it is back to working great again!! Thank you Mr. Bunn for a great cup of coffee every morning...
This works very well. It’s easy to use. You just dump some coffee in the middle section add water and leave it in the fridge. I did notice that the ground coffee does deep through the holes. Not much- but I did notice it. I think the flavor just depends on the coffee used!
I had never used a French press until recently traveling in the Netherlands where they had one in our apartment. I always heard people rave about the coffee and the easy process. I loved it! They had a larger, heavier version made by Bodum. It made delicious coffee but my second cup was never really hot enough. We drink four cups in the morning so it makes sense to brew a pot, but in the afternoon I like one cup. Instead of saving a cup from the morning and microwaving it (I know, I know, that's a sin!), I decided to get this smallest version of the Bodum French press. It works just like the larger version and makes delicious coffee. Note that they refer to a "cup" of coffee as 4 oz, where I drink a "mug" of 8 oz. It will brew a full measuring cup, which is 8 oz. You get a little less after you press it. Advantages are that your one cup is always hot, clean up is easy, and my husband who drinks decaf can brew a cup whenever he likes. I did find the glass to be a bit thinner than the larger version, and even though I used boiling water, my coffee was not extremely hot. The box was a bit messed up as if it was used, and it had an coffeemakers.us.com sticker saying this product "got a second life". I thought I was buying a new product. But inside, the French press was in perfect condition, had the correct Bodum logo on the glass, and it came with its own measuring scoop, which is super convenient to make the best coffee without guessing. This would be great for travel too. I'm glad I got it.
We have owned a Bodum for years now making our own cold brew coffee. We recently purchased another as a gift for a cold brew coffee lover. They love it too! Just add ground coffee + cold water then let it sit in the refrigerator. Enjoy as soon as a couple hours or couple days after sitting. The longer it sits, the bolder the coffee will be. If you want to get fancy, after sitting out in an ice cube tray to make cold brew coffee cubes.
This Single Serve Coffee Maker is impressive. It is sleek and has a storage for water so you don't have to fill with every cup. It fills for 6 oz, 8 oz or 10 oz cups but we use 12 and 15 ounce cups. We have to push the button for 8 oz and, then when finished, push the button for 6 oz to fill a bigger cup. The unit is super easy to clean and the coffee tastes great. You can also make a one cup of ground coffee or tea. Overall, we really like this "one Cupper" and would recommend it to our friends. Great product from coffeemakers.us.com.
I really liked the rich smooth flavor this Moccamaster brewed for me. My Kcups were bitter and even tasted like insect killer sometimes. I now can have a fresh brewed cup of coffee that tastes better than that big chain coffee shop anytime I want without leaving my house.
It has a little wobble in stem and you definitely must use filters or you will have grounds in coffee. It doesn’t have a glass perculator top which is why I wanted this one. But I decided to keep because I didnt have a coffee pot and couldn’t go without my cup of morning joe to send it back. Also I wasn’t happy with cord being loose. Reading reviews I remembered some saying that . But after all i read I forgot that detail. I believe i purchased this for price but if i had paid a little more i would’ve got a better one.
The box and description say filters are included. They were not…
This is the second one of these I have bought. The first one was all glass and of course I broke it. This one seems much more durable and hopefully I can keep it in one piece! It is easy to use. I put a lot of coffee in the filter and I stir the grounds while I pour the water in. Overnight in the fridge makes good cold brew. The filter can go in the top of the dishwasher but I would wash the carafe by hand.
