Very easy to use! I was able to brew my Kona coffee to perfection. In some reviews there is mention of residue at the bottom of their coffee mugs (insinuating the filter is not working). When I poured the coffee into my cup, there was a small amount of coffee still inside the coffee maker. I was about to remove the little plastic pour cover and dump the rest of the coffee into my mug, when I saw coffee residue. It seems like the coffee maker was designed to prevent that coffee “gunk” from pouring into your cup. Regarding the reusable metal filter: it’s sturdy (does not bend or fold) and has VERY tiny holes. Freshly ground coffee and standard ground coffee will not go through. The residue I mentioned above had a powder like consistency. That being said, don’t expect pulverized coffee grounds to not go through the itty bitty filter holes! If, for whatever reason, you must brew coffee that has the consistency of baby powder (think Cuban coffee “Bustelo”), then you very likely may need to use a paper filter. That being said, I am super happy with it! I did not use a paper filter (the metal filter it came with worked perfectly).
Easy to use & operate. Filters well & provides hot & great tasting brewing cup of jamoke‼️ ☕️
I purchased an espresso machine for my husband for Father's Day 2023. During that first year of use we needed to replace parts on it 3 times and have the unit replace. Needless to say we tossed that and moved to Breville. Please don't waste your time with others. Breville can be pricey but it is an affordable option for a quality espresso machine if you are serious about espresso. We love this machine. The auto frother option is great for me (my husband is the aficionado who takes his a little more seriously and froths using a thermometer). We have not had issues with the steamer clogging like some reviewers stated. We wipe the want down after each use and the spout self cleans after use (we put a small cup under it to allow the water to discharge). I use non-dairy milk (soy and oat) and have not had issues with the heat level of the steaming. The first time the machine told us it needed cleaning we were unsure what was happening. Read the manual folks, it is clearly spelled out lol :). It has a clean me mode and. descaling mode. We use RO water so the machine has not had any buildup. We are very happy with this machine.
I ordered this French press to finally make a decent cup of coffee. As convenient as our Keurig machine may be, the quality of the coffee cannot match what comes out of this press. It really is night and day! The smooth green finish of this press is a great match for the green pattern we have in our kitchen backsplash. This is a great looking press that just looks like it belongs in our home. The press does not come with any accessories. What you see in my pictures is what you get. I shied away from a glass French press knowing that the double-walled insulating properties of this French press will keep the coffee hot while it sits. On that front it does not disappoint and I am happy with its heat performance. While the press is advertised as making as much as 34 oz. of coffee, I have not made more than 24 oz. at a time to date. I have not made any adjustments to the instructions so far: - Add 2 tablespoons ground coffee for every 8 oz. of water - Pour in near boiling hot water and stir well with a long spoon - Cap the press with the plunger all the way up - Wait 4 minutes and then press the plunger slowly down until it goes no further - Pour and enjoy! The result is a creamy, smooth coffee. I am not a coffee connoisseur so I cannot describe the end product any better than that. I can only say that I wish I had a French press on hand years ago as I have clearly been missing out. The instructions do not mention if the press is dishwasher safe. I tend to hand wash stuff like this so either way it is not a concern for me. Due to my lack of experience with French presses in general, I am not able to compare this to others. All I can say is that I am extremely happy with this model and hope to enjoy it for years to come. UPDATE: I forgot to include a picture of the pieces that make up the plunger. The bottom piece unscrews to allow cleaning of the 4 layers, 2 of which are made up of fine screen material. While I have washed the plunger without taking it apart, I find that it is good to take it apart after a few uses to give them a good cleaning. Some very fine grounds can find their way in there. UPDATE: We've been using this press for about 6 months now, averaging 5 to 6 times a week. I still love it! The press body and parts have shown no wear and the whole thing is still like new. Still the best coffee related item I've ever ordered.
The brew container at the top is significantly larger than the collection container at the bottom. If you make a batch anywhere near the capacity of the brew pitcher, it will overflow the glass collection pitcher. I was hoping that I could brew a batch and then leave it on the collection pitcher unattended. Luckily I checked on it before it overflowed. I like to make batches that start with 910 grams (31 ounces of water). The brew pitcher can handle this volume. However the resulting coffee is more than the collection pitcher can fit. The instructions have a recipe which says to use 24 oz water, resulting in 16 oz of coffee. That will fit just fine in the glass collection pitcher, but then the top brew pitcher is like twice as big as needed. In the end this does work. I would have given it a full five stars if the bottom glass pitcher had been bigger.
Very easy to use and the design is perfect. Makes a perfect cup of coffee. 10/10 I can see why other people had concerns that it spills. It has a tiny slot to pour water in. But if you are careful and pour slowly you’re fine.
I spent $50 on this and the lid is flimsy and light and now it’s absolutely stuck on top all cockeyed and won’t come off. I literally just got this in the mail and set it up just now. It would be better with a heavier lid so it goes on easier.
Regularly overflows creating a huge mess. Update: Bunn sent me a replacement drip head saying it would fix the issue. It does not fix the issue. In my mind this product is defective, dangerous, and needs to be recalled. DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT.
This is the most we get out of it. Power won’t come on to make any ice coffee. Use it to take up counter space. Very disappointed more so as it was a Christmas gift for our daughter. Replaced with one from Target for her and we got the paper weight since coffeemakers.us.com says we can’t return due to 30 day policy yet we purchased less than 20 days ago.
Comes with a scooper.
The coffee taste fine and the machine percolates okay. That said there are coffee grounds on the top lid and in your coffee cup. I mean a lot, so much so I’ve used a strainer when pouring my coffee. Lastly you will hear the coffee pot humming even after the coffee is finished percolation. You will need to turn the pot off if this annoying sounds bother you. Honestly we were to save money, so we understand the principle that you get what you pay for. The good news is we have fresh coffee every morning. Be well!
It took a little bit of orchestrating to adjust the machine to my liking.. I do like this coffee machine however it takes four minutes to brew a single cup of coffee. It’s a quality built machine and very pretty design.
It's beautiful and well designed, all the parts have a storage place, and the form definitely matches the quality of the function. Very well thought out on both sides!
This Braun coffee maker is a beast! This can make 14 cups of coffee! This is perfect for the upcoming holidays - to ensure you have enough coffee for guests. This coffee maker offers so many great features. You can make iced coffee or hot coffee with this machine. You can also brew bold coffee and there’s even a fast brew button (because it does take a little more time to brew coffee with this machine than my old machine). You can brew 2 to 14 cups of coffee per cycle. when your coffee is finished brewing it beeps to let you know it is done. You can also remove the carafe while it is brewing and it will stop the brewing temporarily. The instructions could have been written more clear. Thankfully, it has a one page quick start sheet that’s a little more clear than the booklet (knowing how to use the machine isn’t intuitive - you’ll need the instructions). Still, we were able to figure out how to make iced and hot coffee and it’s really not difficult - you just need to know the steps. This has a clean function and also allows you to set a brew time so you can wake up to brewed coffee. This comes with a plastic filter, although I recommend using a paper filter to make cleanup easier. It also comes with a coffee scoop so you can use just the right amount of coffee. This comes with a charcoal water filter that brews your coffee with optimal pure water. The coffee tastes great. The iced coffee brew provided enough cold brew for me for 5 days (I refrigerated after brewing). Overall, I’m very impressed with this coffee maker and would recommend it to others.
