I can honestly say I have never owned a single-serve coffee maker like this. The system is built powerfully to make the most of your grounds. The coffee comes out dark and delicious every time whereas other machines come out more clear than dark. I hope this product lasts for a while. I also love that it puts out 10 oz of coffee at a time and the reservoir is 40 oz. I only have to fill it up every other day. You cannot change the settings to have less or more coffee, so if you are not cool with 10 oz of coffee then move onto another machine or you can trick the machine by putting in 1 oz of water in the reservoir for an espresso shot, or 8 oz of water for a normal brew. My concern with this 10oz feature was the possibility of weak coffee (like other systems), however, the Proctor-Silex gets rich coffee for the full 10 oz. The one thing I did not like about the coffee maker are the promotional images. They did not show a taller coffee cup in the images, so I took a chance on it fitting all my taller mugs. I have done some of my own. Hope this helps.
Poorly designed packing caused broking retraining clips for cup tray. As it is not held in place, my coffee spill causing it to fall and spill all over the counter and waste several expensive coffee cartridges.
Decided to go with a chemex instead of a keurig, also bought a french press. I prefer the french press taste more then other methods...well on the unit it is stylish and works well, it's still new so longevity is yet to be determined, but unless I drop it not sure what can break. Initially quality is a 5, only make what you need for the coffee will get cool fast unless you have a way to keep the unit warm. It definitely brews a "clean" well filtered cup, I feel I will use the french press more, but I like having it and will use it regularly, make coffee making fun, it is worth the extra effort 110%

First off...be sure to read the manual! This isn't your parent's old Mr. Coffee drip machine. We started off with a cold brew over ice. Both my teenage kids who love our local cafe's cold brew were both impressed by the flavor of this one. Next my son brewed a bold hot drip and it did not disappoint...was coffee that as my dad would say "puts hair on your chest!" He mentioned toning down the amount of coffee grounds used as he went with the top end of the recommended range. We're still playing around with the machine using the manual for recommended coffee dosages, but if you and your family are coffee lovers (of both hot and cold), this machine will not disappoint. It's easy to clean, the water tank is easily accessible, clearly marked, and I love that it's detachable. The scoop that is provided is a handy tool. Final notes: The like the looks of this coffee machine, I have not had the spout drip when pouring coffee, and the DripStop is an awesome feature so you're not cleaning the burner when you accidentally pull the carafe too soon. Also, note that the cold brew does take a while to brew. If you're in a rush in the morning, it's not the time to start a cold brew. We're all pretty excited by the arrival of this coffee machine. Definitely recommend to others.
I’ve used a Cuisinart and Mr. Coffee over the years, as well as Melita and Chemex. The Moccamaster, which I bought 3 weeks ago, makes hands down the best drip coffee I’ve ever had (& that includes drip coffee at Starbucks and Pete’s). I like it better than Chemex—& it’s easier to use than Chemex. Remember, this is drip coffee —it has a different taste than French press or espresso or those nasty pod machines. Moccamaster does one thing only—it makes excellent drip coffee. Other reviewers dinged this machine for arriving with a chipped heating plate &/or were disappointed in the thickness of the glass carafe. My Moccamaster Select arrived in perfect condition. And I found the glass carafe to be pretty much no different (in terms of thickness/quality) than other carafes with other coffee makers —it even Chemex. This is an expensive machine. I thought about buying it for a long time & read lots of reviews. I’m very glad I purchased it, & I’m enjoying it very much every day.
I think that some of the other reviewers may be unfamiliar with making pour over coffee, as many of the poor reviews seem to be the results of user error. I have used this a few times and found it to work as expected. I did not have issues with the filter Breaking (I suspekt people tried using flat bottom filters, or perhaps taking it out before it had finished draining. Another complaint I had seen was that the carafe was cracking with the addition of water. Any cold ceramic vessel will crack when 212°F water is added. Try bringing the temp of the carafe up ahead of time with a hot water (not boiling) rinse before brewing. Alternatively try brewing around 100°, I find that leads to a better cup and a more even extraction :) The beauty of pour over coffee is being able to control for a lot of factors and create a really nuanced cup. I got this pour-over carafe so I can do a higher quantity (as opposed to a singe cup pour-over) of great coffee at once, and it has definitely met my expectations! I also think it looks cute, very reminiscent of a bialeti moka pot. I think the blue color really pops 💙
Excelente máquina. Hace un café perfecto, super delicioso.
Introduction: Hello, I really enjoyed French Press Coffee & Tea Maker Complete Bundle while there is not one reason that a good thing. The first thing I enjoy is the shape there not much that can go wrong when you have fewer parts to worry about. There were two main parts that you have to worry about the base is one the other was the press. It easy to clean would be the next part like I said two parts two the press the base and the press makes it really easy to clean. Those parts there make the French Press Coffee & Tea Maker a pleasure to own. First reason to buy: The shape The shape is simple you have the base were the coffee or tea goes in and then you have the press one is a metal base with a glass component makes getting your coffee/tea easy in and easy out . The biggest con with the shape is too clean it right around the press filter the reason is you have too almost take part the press part just to get it clean. Second reason to buy: There is only two parts The first part is the base nothing more nothing less so you just pour coffee/tea no mess no fuss the press part is just a round plug with a stick. That it no moving parts you just press the tea/coffee and your done, again the issue because the cleaning part of the machine. You have to take each part of the press and spread it out and sometimes off yet small price to pay. Third reason to buy: Easy to use The device is easy to use to the point that beyond cleaning there will not be much you have to complain about. Which is a good thing considering the problems with cleaning most of the time cleaning is just rinsing and that it your done. Yet there some issues that I will talk about in the next section. Forth reason to buy: Cleaning Clean is fairly simple you rinse out the bottom and the press and your done there not much more to it, yet the problem is that when stuff gets in-between the press and the filter for some reason the tea I was using got stuck between the press and filter while not a big deal it is something you have to be aware of this. Final thought’s on the product: This is a product that you can buy use and clean and move on about your day this is easy and that should be the focus and the reason you should buy. No really that is it a simple product nothing big you should buy it because it will save time and it easy to clean.
We bought our Technivorm Moccamaster in November 2019. We were 75% through our remodel. I had a coffee nook/drink station. The height of the floating shelves were not determined until the Moccamater had arrived so that I would have room to pour water in the top without moving the machine. I loved my Technivorm! Best cup of coffee! If I were to rate the brewer I would give it 5 stars. About 6 months ago something changed. One day the coffee was perfect, the next day it tasted like chemicals. I brewed several cups. Over the next week my husband bought 5 different coffees hoping the problem was the coffee. Every single one tasted like a chemical burn. Something was up with the heating element. My husband then made a call to customer service. They didn't listen very well and told him, how to clean the craft and descale the brewer. Both had been done before the call and again after. Still horrible coffee. Around the 3rd call my husband had to argue and insist we wanted to start the return process. He spent $80 on postage to mail the box. $80!!! Which he did because he knew how much I loved my moccamaster! 2 weeks later we received our moccamaster back. The note said that it had been tested and works fine. I was furious. My husband plugged it back in. Made a pot of coffee and yuck! He then followed all of the cleaning instructions one more time with no improvement. He reached out to Technivorm one more time to see how they determined it was fine. They only ran water through it. Never coffee. Said it was to objective. My Moccamaster sits in its box. We bought a $40 coffee pot :( to make do while it was sorted out. I really want my Moccamaster back but I am reluctant to support a company with such poor customer relations. I am hunting for another brewer that makes as good as coffee.
I have used Mr. Coffee products for years. Just bought this coffeemaker in May 2022. Now on New Years Day 2023, less than 8 months old, the spout of the glass pot cracked while I was pouring coffee into my mug. I have experienced the glass cracking when you pour cold water into a hot pot. Or leaving an empty pot on a hot burner. I have never experienced the glass cracking while pouring the coffee.
coffeemakers.us.com features an array of single-serve countertop coffee makers in the $50 - $100 price range. This Hamilton Beach single-serve coffee maker has a price point of $80, or at the higher range of average. At this price, you would expect some nice technology and a machine featuring good finishes. Overall, this unit has some very good features, but some finish and cheap fabrication issues combine to make this an average machine...a daily work horse that has foregone any nice embellishments. Of course, it has some very good features that make this worthy of a purchase consideration. As a single-brew machine, it does give you the option to use a K-cup pod and also includes an adapter for you to fill with your own coffee. That is a nice touch. Like many single-cup machines, you are given the option of how many ounces you want to brew for your cup...from 8 oz up to 14 oz. There is an iced coffee function that allows you to remove the coffee mug stand in order to fit a larger size glass to hold your ice and drip coffee. Looking at these features alone, this is a decent unit that should serve your household for a long period of time. However, most coffee drinkers store their coffee makers out on their kitchen counter...always in plain view. Because of this, some competitor models will add a satin finish, use better plastics, add metal bands and face plates and more... in an effort to make their units more classy so they look nice in addition to working well. For this appliance, Hamilton Beach did not go all out. The plastic used has a cheap look to it and the finish of our unit had dull spots and uneven color areas. The plastic used for the cup rest is not the hard plastic used by some competitors. While these finish details don't impact the operation of the brewer or the taste of the coffee, they affect the aesthetics of what rests on top of the counter. In this review, this brewer gets four stars because it is a decent coffee machine. We've taken away one star because of the inattention to finish.
Garbage. Bought this for my wife 6-7 months ago. Gonna get people sick with rust inside of the water resovoir. This is so not cool.
I like that my Contigo thermos mug fits under this coffee maker with room to spare. It makes a great mug of coffee. I've used it every day since I purchased it a month ago. I like that the coffee filter has a lid to keep grounds contained! So far I'm very happy with it.
Bought this for my husband because his espresso machine broke and he’s used to making his own coffees at home. When I say this man loves espresso..he’ll brew a double espresso a good 4 times a day if not more. I came across this and love that he can brew a little pitcher of espresso that he can chill and use throughout the day instead of having to brew it and chill it multiple times a day. He’s obsessed with it already and will probably get rid of his old espresso machine at this point. The only thing I don’t like is that it sometimes it leaks a little water out into the tray while brewing. We’ve followed the instructions to a T, so not sure what makes it happen, but it’s only a minor inconvenience it seems like.
