This pour-over dripper is striking for its size and heft. It easily holds my Number 2 filters and once I pre-warm it, the dripper holds its heat. I have a rather wide-mouth cup. This is large enough to sit firmly on top. Coffee flows smoothly and slowly through the dripper and into my cup. I am no coffee expert but find a pour-over through this dripper tastes particularly good. There are no instructions so I cannot say whether this is dishwasher safe. Very nice.
It is hard to tell when this coffee pot is on when first learning this machine. Touch screen is very sensitive. I plugged it in and poked at the face of it while trying to change the time. I walked away to get water to fill the reservoir while looking at the directions. When I came back it was smoking! I quickly unplugged it from the wall, but it did not seem to harm the machine. Make sure that there is water in the machine before you plug it in the first time! We like that it has an auto on/off feature. The coffee tastes good. So far it works well without further problems. There are separate lines for the ice coffee and the hot coffee feature. The printed instructions are vague and do not show how to use the ice coffee option, but it does not take a brain surgeon to figure out that you just add ice. They do show a QR code to get full directions.
So I have had my coffee maker for about a month and a half now & only used it about 3 times... because every single time I tried to use it, coffee ended up on the hot plate under the pot and was a mess to clean up. I did some research online but none it it seemed to add up about why this issue might be happening. I finally figured out today (after cleaning up yet another mess) that it was because there are multiple holes near the bottom of the stainless steel pot (see attached pictures). Very disappointed because I love the functionality of this machine & it would be a great value had the pot not come damaged!
The top spout your pour from does t stay tightly closed. I like to shake mine up to get everything that settled to the bottom into the coffee and it leaks pretty bad. This is very disappointing. I should have gone with a better brand. Don't waste your money on this one. Look elsewhere. If they send me a replacement I'll change my review.
The plunging mechanism came apart after 3 months. The return window is closed. I've had other French presses that have lasted many years.
Have been looking for a machine for sometime now, and after seeing some reviews I took a chance on this one. Couldn’t be happier. The Tuni E2 came packaged securely and rather beautifully. It comes with everything you need to get started pulling a really nice shot. The E2 has a relatively small footprint so it fits just about anywhere in my kitchen. The suction cup feet are appreciated and help quite a bit as the portafilter can be a little tight to fit and remove, but I still need to keep a good grip on the side of the machine when doing so. The machine itself is light weight with a plastic body and I’m interested to see how it hold up over time, but as of right now I have no complaints. It seems to be a pretty solid build and looks pretty in my kitchen. It does have a nice metal group head for those wondering. That being said the E2 comes with a wonderful portafilter. Hefty, solid, and a firm fitting set of baskets that will go nowhere when knock out the pucks. Though it comes two different basket sizes for single and double shots, I have only used the double. The single holds my paper filters quite well at the tamping station though. The tamper is absolutely gorgeous for something that comes stock with the machine, wood handle with a great feel and decent weight to it. Pleasantly surprised by this. The bean scoop and leveler is the only….eh thing that was supplied stock. But even being kinda light weight plastic and awkward it has become my go to for getting beans out of the little designer bags for weighing out my brew each morning as the handle is quite long enough to make it pretty useful as the bag gets lower. The machine warms up quickly, and I’m impressed with the easy to adjust the temperature settings between the stock setting of medium, low and high heat. The ease and ability to program in a custom brew time is also handy. It only took pulling a few shots to dial this machine in and gain familiarity with what to adjust when rotating out to new beans and different grinds. The steam wand is impressive as is the milk pitcher that comes stock with it. While the pressure here is unadjustable, the output is impressive and after learning to work fast I’ve been creating some really glorious textures in my milk foam. I have been able to register the machine with Tuni but hope I never need to use the warranty. The manual does also come with some parts lists should things need repair. Again I hope this is never needed. Customer support has been in touch since receiving the machine with tips, and assuring my user satisfaction. At the moment I feel confident that that, should a problem arise, I have a good source for reconciling it. All in all this is a five star machine easily worth twice the cost. I’m incredibly happy that I took the chance. If you are looking for an amazing espresso machine at what seems to be a very budget friendly cost this is it.
Well crafted, insulated coffee maker. Very pleased with design and capacity markings inside the press. Cleans up easily and keeps coffee hot for a long time. What you see is what you get!
I purchased this coffee maker because I got tired of overcooked coffee. It delivers a hot cup of coffee hours after it brews, thanks to the insulated carrafe! Perfect when you have staggered schedules. We love the bloom feature, it gives the best flavor possible. The ONE thing that they could improve is the clock. It's not illuminated and is a little small when you are setting delayed brewing. Would still buy it again!
Some parts came used. I am disappointed by the quality. Definitely not worth the money.
This delivers the best tasting aromatic fresh ground and brewed coffee! To be a happy owner you probably need an eye for detail and be able to respect the process. There are a few steps to clean and set it up for each brew, but it’s well engineered and the process is simple and easy. It has reliably and consistently produced great coffee while avoiding the inconvenience and mess of a separate grinder. The single serve option works well but tends to drip a bit. Not perfect… but what is? It’s been such a pleasure waking up to aromatic tasty fresh ground and brewed coffee in the morning :)
I ordered this portable expresso maker for times when we travel and don’t want to stop to get a pick-me-up. It’s relatively simple to use. It brews coffee as well as expresso. I do not have the little pods that are compatible with this expresso maker, but I can’t help but think that they would provide a more flavorful expresso. I will have to buy some and try it out. I used a brand name, Expresso Bean, which was already ground. It took some time before the water heated enough to make the expresso. The water I used was room temperature. Once the expresso started brewing, it went pretty fast. It brews a small amount, maybe 1/4 or 1/3 cup. It wasn’t bad, but neither was it memorable. I prefer cappuccino to expresso; I may be biased. I want to try the pods to see if they’re any better. Perhaps with a different brand and grind of coffee, or the pods would provide a tastier expresso. I think it’s an excellent option for travel or camping if you aren’t finicky about your expresso.
I like the small size of this French press, it is perfect for an individual cup of coffee. It is easy to clean and takes very little room to store. It did not come with directions so I had to search on the internet for them for how to make a cup of coffee and to froth milk for my coffee in the French press. Directions: 1. Heat water to boiling and let cool for two minutes before pouring the water into the French press. 2. Pour hot water to black ring as shown in my photo. I saved room for my frothed milk. You can fill it more for a larger cup of coffee. 3. Add rounded tablespoon of ground coffee to the water, stir. 4. Set your timer for four minutes to let the coffee flavor mix into the water. 5. After four minutes put the lid on, make sure the side of the lid with the drainage holes is by the spout. Push top/plunger of the press (that is centered on the lid) all the way down to strain/press the coffee grounds to the bottom. 6. Pour your coffee in your coffee cup. There are more flavorful oils left in the coffee when you use a French press, and it does not taste bitter like coffee maker coffee sometimes tastes. You may notice after you drink your coffee that there are some very fine grounds in the bottom of your cup. I didn’t feel/notice the grounds until I saw them. They do not bother me at all. Dump coffee grounds in trash and rinse all of the coffee grounds out of your French press. How to froth your milk: 1. Warm desired amount of milk and put in French press. I used 1/4 cup. 2. Push plunger on the top of the lid up and down until milk is frothed. 3. Open lid and pour into your coffee. 4. Do not pour your frothed milk through the strainer holes because it will deflate the froth as you pour it. Froth looks like whipped cream in my coffee. My photo would have look better if I frothed a larger amount of milk and if I hadn’t tried to pour it through the holes in the lid. I really like the French press for a quick cup of coffee, traveling, hotels, camping and especially for a really good tasting cup of coffee.
Really impressed with this coffee maker and at first was a little intimidated but its so easy to get used to and the options abound. We've had the basics, Mr. Coffee's little 5 cup maker for years, and decided to upgrade. Worth it. The delay brew is a game changer. Double tap and adjust settings. Amazing. We've tried all its capabilites and even made tea and cocoa. The carafe isn't exactly my favorite design and always leaves a little coffee behind... but it doesn't leak coffee all over the counter while pouring like the Mr. Coffee carafe does. So that's a win in my book. The hot or boiling water setting rocks as well. Water comes out really hot really fast and speaking of water the tank is adjustable to back or side. I also really enjoy the frother. Makes me feel like I should be drinking coffee with my pinky up. Fancy like. The warming plate has adjustable timer settings and keeps coffee the perfect temp without burning - which is bomb to a mom who never gets to finish a cup of Joe before 3pm. Pro tip put your coffee mug with coffee on the warmer to keep coffee warm. I didn't even cover all the specs but you get the point. All in all. Awesome purchase. Love it. Unfortunately, I can't speak to longevity yet. *1 year update I still LOVE this coffee pot, it works like a boss for everything from iced coffee to teas, coco, and special brews. Im so thrilled to report the touch screen is still very responsive with no issues and its been very easy to keep clean, as well a properly funtioning wisk and warming tray. The only negative I could find on this machine in about a year of use is the silver NINJA label has started to wash off a bit but it's pretty minor and obviously doesn't affect my coffee in any way so it's not a huge deal to me. I highly recommend this coffee maker. It has served us very well.
This coffeemaker makes excellent coffee. That water gets hot quickly, the showerhead works well. The bloom feature is nice and really makes a difference. The carafe keeps the coffee warm long enough for me to leisurely drink it all. The main issue I have with it is that the carafe leaks. Not from the spout, but from the joint where the two materials meet even if the spout is not open. You can see it in the picture. It is pretty annoying because I need a paper towel around always. I am going to try to see about getting a replacement via warranty, I hope it is just a defect in my product.
I was just having yet another cup of coffee from my Brew Express, got to thinking how much I enjoy this coffeemaker and thought it only appropriate to sing their praises via. coffeemakers.us.com Review. After three years of ownership and one, if not multiple, pots of coffee brewed per day it performs every time. It was just as easy to install to the water line as in the video and I have never had a problem. My daughter enjoys easily changing the filter cone to single and brewing single cups of hot chocolate and my wife occasionally uses it as an 'insta-hot' when she needs hot water for cooking. Another feature I realized only after-the-fact was that the pot is insulated to keep coffee hot inside for hours, but this allows for no heating elements on the machine itself and the bottom of the pot is cool as a result and can be set on any counter surface. This coffee pot was on the higher end of expense, but was one of the few that had the direct line water line feature I was after. It was well worth the price. Now, if they could make a coffee grinder that was just as well made I would buy it...I have been through three in the same I have had the pot....
