My travel press was damaged.
After 2+ years of daily use, I'm still impressed with how great this machine is. I've been using the 1-cup feature a lot during the week (working from home), and it's far better and cheaper than pods. The cold brew and ice coffee options are also surprisingly good. For half and full pots, I recommend the glass carafe, which is dishwasher safe (top rack) and super easy to clean. The glass carafe option comes with a hot-plate to keep your coffee from getting cold. The only minor negative I see is the machine isn't tall enough for larger travel mugs. If you're a daily user of a tall travel mug, you'll have to use the carafe and fill your mug from that. My Starbucks travel mug fits just fine, so I don't see this as a big issue.
This coffee maker looks great but it’s not too great on brewing good drinks. I don’t drink coffee. I prefer tea so I usually make only two separate cups a day. My old coffee maker was a Mr. Coffee and it was pretty simple but it did not have an automatic shut-off so I ordered this one to replace it. I am not impressed with this at all. First off, it is a little difficult to find the right setting and the manual isn’t sufficient enough. I have been using this everyday for two weeks with and without the filter and my tea tastes awful. When I first unpacked this and got it on my counter I ran three full cycles with just water as instructed in the manual. I am not sure if it will eventually start to taste normal or if I’m stuck with it tasting awful forever and unfortunately I broke my old Mr. Coffee into pieces moving it to make room for this one. I’m really disappointed. I might have to go buy another Mr.Coffee sooner rather than later if this one doesn’t start to making decent tea. I am still trying to figure out some of the settings. It really has turned into such a chore to operate this. I will keep trying for a bit longer to get my perfect tea. I am really attached to the way this looks. It is a nice sleek design. I can tell that it was built to last so in fairness it does deserve a little more time to get better but, for now, I rate this pretty low.
Unfortunately I haven't been able to use this pour over pot. It's a shame because I really wanted this. It arrived broken, even though it was well packaged and there was no damage to the box.
I used to have a universal pour over filter that I’d use over my regular coffee mug - as you can imagine it was impossible to see how much I was pouring. It was a guessing game that I lost often, and had a lot of spills to clean up because of it. This product solves that problem! I’m also able to make enough for two people without switching a dripping filter over to another mug. It does obviously seem very fragile (specifically where the handle connects), but certainly serves its purpose and is kept away in a cabinet to avoid an accidental bumps. Very beautiful though! For under $20 this product is a great find!
I had a problem when I plugged the coffee maker in my country because in the manual it says it’s compatible with 220 volts and it’s not.I wrote to Nexpresso and they replied carelessly about it. I have written to coffeemakers.us.com and I am waiting for an answer now. “To whom it may concern, I purchased this product for my business office in Argentina, as I travel to the US once a year and was able to bring it along with me upon my return. Per the manual description, in the attached photo, the coffee maker should be able to be plugged into a 220 v outlet. However, when we tried to use the coffee maker here in my home country, which uses 220 v, the coffee maker burnt right away. Could you kindly explain why this could have happened? If the voltage specifications in the manual are incorrect, what would be the best way to request a refund for this item, since I am currently out of the US? Thank you very much in advance for your attention to this matter and I look forward to hearing back from you very soon.” In the meantime,I am advising everybody not to purchase from this seller. I will remove my review if they reimburse me for this purchase.
We were hesitant to move away from the Chemex with paper filters to this brand new product with a metal filter and about 6 customer reviews, but... I have ZERO COMPLAINTS, it truly is greater than the Chemex in my opinion. The rubber bottom is awesome, the filter is awesome and easy to clean, the measurements on the glass are so helpful, the glass is super strong, the handle is far more convenient than a removable wooden clasp & it comes with this awesome oval shape coffee scoop that really does make it easier to place the grounds in the filter just the way you need it. I have a Baratza Virtuoso and I grind at 16. I've gotten so used to this that I no longer need a scale. I have kept the box to take it with me when I travel. I love it, it's awesome & I am very satisfied BE Pour Over > Chemex : )
I made my first cup today and it tasted awesome. It is easy to use and I had no problems cleaning it. I'd give this 5 stars except I'm disappointed that for a $100+ stainless well constructed french press, that the inside finish is not very good. You can see and feel the machining marks (see photo). I have concerns about the long term effects. Although easy go clean, it seems a good place to trap fine grounds but mainly, it just looks bad for the cost. Has anyine else seen this? I'm debating sending it back as a defect and seeing if a replacement has a better inside finish.
Poor quality coffee pot that I have grown to hate quickly. Always leaks when you pour - The design of the pot does not seem to be able to handle the simple pouring of a cup of coffee without spilling all over the counter top. Constantly leaks when you pull the pot out -This is dangerous, hot coffee continuing to brew because the shut off valve does not work. Shutting off every 2 hours is a pain. - You need a post filter to limit sediment. Loud, boy is it loud - it's allowed pumping sound when it bruises a mystery to me. Slow, boy is it slow - I would advise that you not try to brew a fresh pot in between meetings if you're working from home and on a time crunch.
Great little life saver for camping. I had others and this is the best. You can use pods or grounds. Even comes with a little scooper attached to the lit. That said there are problems. 1. Definitely too expensive for what this is. 2. Even after thorough initial wash and 3 water brews, can still taste a bit of plastic /metal taste in the hot water. Coffee is great and comes out very hot 3. People saying they get 5 brews out of a 5ah battery are likely lying. It's 3 brews max on a makita 5ah. 4. This should have wall plug as well as the battery, but I get it. Overall it's great though and I highly recommend it as a travel coffee maker.
This is the perfect pour over set up, it makes a perfect cup of coffee every single time. The reservoir on top is perfect. No BPA so there's no plastic taste whatsoever. I use #4 filters because the reservoir fits in the top of it and it seals when it's making the coffee. #2 filters are too small. So for $10 you get the best pour over set up the world has ever known ☕🤠 John †
For the price it’s alright. The weird thing is that it doesn’t make the correct proportions for the amount of cups I put in. For example I made 6 cups (with 6 cups of water obviously) and it only filled two cups. Same thing happened when I made 4 cups…. It only filled 1 1/2 cups. It’s really weird.
NICE SMALL COFFEE MAKER
If I could give a zero star review I would. The touch pad functions do not always work and it is extremely cumbersome to clean. The coffee basket and filter overflow and grinds get stuck on and cover the lid every time coffee is brewed. So in order to keep the brewer clean I have to unplug the machine and bring it to the sink and hand wash the basket and lid because they are not removable. When doing that sometimes the clock needs to be reset after unplugging the machine. On top of it Delonghi (the actual manufacturer) has pretty bad customer service. The people are very nice when you speak to them, but I have been emailing and calling them for close to two months to resolve this and I really just want them to give me my money back. I attempted to return the machine through coffeemakers.us.com, but it was two days after the last day for returns. On top of it right I paid $200 for the machine it went on sale all over the internet anc could not get through to anyone to price match. This machine is not worth the money and I am going to purchase another brand as soon as I find one I like.
