I am a k-cup user but the price has skyrocketed to over $1 per k-cup with this crazy inflation, so i switched back to traditional brewing. I bought this unit specifically because it has a 2-hour auto-shutoff feature listed in the coffeemakers.us.com description. NOPE! It is manual shutoff just like the much larger (and older one) I already have. Nice little coffee maker to be sure. Easy to use, compact, price is right and the feature that allows you to pour a cup before the whole pot is brewed is great too. I have used these at Air bnb's before. But the no auto-shutoff feature is a real bummer. May send back.

Super product in many ways except a couple main points. First off, the positive: I really like this coffee maker. It is small, brews pretty good coffee, and does the job. The carafe has a good drip-less pour, and the carafe heater works great, keeping the coffee perfectly hot. Now for the criticisms: 1) quality: I found plastic parts were not assembled properly, thus causing some deformation in the clips. (see pic) This could be a one-off issue, but I suspect there are others having the same issue (and my not even notice). 2) poor location of the on/off button: being in the back, lower, side means you need room on the countertop to reach back, so even though the coffee maker appears to be narrow, extra space is needed for button access. Not only that, but the button is lit, thus not visible from the front. It would be so much better if it was located in front or near the front. If I were to be overly critical: > I would point out that when filling the water base from the carafe, you cannot fully tilt the carafe to get all the water out. As a result, I fill the base, and then dump the little bit remaining out of the carafe. > Also I would point out that the lid on the carafe is difficult to flip all the way open with your thumb: it opens, but not fully open. the tab should be slightly longer or have a little lip for the extra push needed to open the lid fully. > Finally, I would point out that the dispersion of hot water over the ground coffee in the basket is not a wide enough spray/drip (just the screen basket; no paper filter). Meaning, the water disperses over the ground in a narrow circle, thus concentrating in the center of the pile of grounds. It leaves the grounds looking like a volcano where there is a crater in the center. This tells me that some of the coffee is not being soaked and strained; it appears damp as though it absorbed water from the adjacent grounds. This would suggest that some flavor is not extracted. I suspect that is one used a paper filter or a finer grind, it may drains slower, thus allowing the basket to fill with water and reach all the coffee grounds. So in the end, I fixed the quality issue, made space on my countertop, and will most likely try paper filters. Basically, I still like my purchase and expect I will stick with it for years to come. I have not

Box came completely broken, dirty and opened. The lid is missing and the press is scratched badly. This is not a new product. I'll ask for a refund. Do not buy this.

2 years and still just the best coffee. I'm so happy with this unit. I use drip. I use perk. For the best body with highs and lows of flavor this is the way to go. If you want high heat perk like dark dark results. Boil extra water. Preheat the inside of this unit. And grind your grounds fine. You will get those harsh dark perk notes along with more body. The insulation in this thing is incredible. It will hold over 200 degrees for two or three minutes when preheated. Let your boiling water cool for a bit before adding your coffee for a robust full bodied cup. The insulation lets you steep light roast coffee for longer. Sediments at the bottom of your cup is a topic. For me I actually like this stuff. Let the unit set a little bit after pressing. And then don't drink the last teaspoon out of your coffee cup. Or if you're really worried about it get one of those over the cup fine mesh strainers. There is a time and place for perk. You're putting boiling water on the grounds over and over and over and over and over. But for the fullest body this is the way to go. You can even use this to cold brew. 2 years of using and washing. Still looks shiny and beautiful. Generally I use this twice a week

  • Nice compact .

  • I have a plastic iced coffee pitcher with filter and that I’ve been using for a while but wanted to upgrade to a glass one (and to serve as a back-up for when I was cold brewing more coffee). This looked nice and sturdy but when I was hand washing it with warm water and soft brush, I discovered the glass is thin and of poor quality because it got a hole. Luckily, I didn’t injure myself. It’s a bummer.

  • Works very well but the matte black finish (which was part of my selling point) is already chipping away after 2 months of use and regular cleaning. The functionality of the product I give 5 stars. I use smooth coffee with this and it takes the acidic factor away which meets my needs. However. This thing will now look like a silver and matte black pot that’s been through a house fire shortly. I don’t think an eye pleasing esthetic should be ruined so easily and be this expensive. The answer is simple though. Don’t sell it in powder coated colors. If it works really well. I’m sure people will just say screw it I’ll get the silver one because of how well it works. This will look like crap over time though and it’s a bummer.

  • the coffee machine came very nicely packaged, inside the box with proper cushion to prevent damages. All pieces came. I like how the suction cups are on the bottom of the machine to prevent sliding around on counter. I have used it around 2 months now, it works so well for us. it names Espresso coffee machine, but we used the most is regular coffee by double shots, it tastes very strong and rich, it takes about 5-7 minutes to do one cup, it's not hard at all, I attached a detail video here, you can take a look.

  • Not happy with this at all. This item for garbage only. Please check pictures . Disappointed in this kind of service.

  • Super beautiful gold coffee set! Pot is big enough to make 4-6 servings of coffee. Glass looks durable. The wood plate is sooooo legit. Also the package is so nice! I was worried about shipping glassware and this package assured no damages!

Summary: Great concept, but makes watery Nespresso expresso with thin crema and doesn't fit beneath my kitchen upper cabinets. I'm returning it for these reasons without trying its Keurig side. A standard Nespresso expresso capsule has sufficient grounds for 1.35 fl oz of water. This machine's smallest Nespresso button is 2 fl oz and cannot be configured for less (confirmed by Instant's customer support). The expresso from my favorite Starbucks Blonde Expresso capsules tastes diluted. My Nespresso CitiZ's expresso button, by comparison, defaults to the standard 1.35 fl oz and is configurable for other amounts. This machine is 20" tall with the top opened to load capsules. I have only 18" from kitchen counter to upper cabinet edge, so it must be placed rather far from the wall or somewhere without upper cabinets. Here that is within 2" of the sink (which interferes with dish washing) or on the island (obtrusive).

  • It’s a shame that the finish on this is bad. For the amount of money it cost you would not expect it to be all scratched up right out of the box. It looks like we were sent a used French press. Very disappointing..

  • The machine gives off fresh and delicious express coffee every time since it grinds the been inside the machine as programmed.

I purchased it last year and never used it until last week. It sat in the box in my office. I use the kcup side and it doesn’t make the coffee and leaks. Only fills the cup with hot water. When open the top there are coffee grounds all over the top. Second I used the expresso side it doesn’t work either. It’s doesn’t puncture the foil lid. Tired for 2 days to contact customer service but still haven’t received a response. Total waste of 300 dollars. Will not recommend
