Very good, simple unit, great deal for mild users. The filter needs to be cleaned periodically. Everything, including the water ‘tank’ must be cleaned.
I like the design and overall idea of this teapot. The wood collar that sits between the top and bottom of the teapot doesn't have a gasket on it so it doesn't fit well. The top of the teapot is very unstable because of this. There is nothing to keep the top from tipping or leaning over or even falling out.
Update: Any dribbles of water that miss the reservoir when filling has a tendency to travel down the outside of the basket onto the hotplate. It's almost impossible to remove every bit of moisture from the base of carafe or hotplate. As a result more coating comes off. Compared to our previous Braun this one is poorly designed and made. ************** Our prior Braun coffee maker, an older 10 cup model made in eastern Europe, finally died. We bought this 14 cup replacement based on the excellent performance of our older Braun. This new model has a few more features but it takes longer to brew and is more difficult to use. As others noted it's difficult to add water but not impossible. Today, about a month after purchasing I'm noticing the coating is peeling off the hot plate. After calling Braun I'm finding out that this is caused by leaving residual water on the bottom of the carafe. Apparently, after filling and spilling water the owner needs to pull the carafe and dry the bottom and the hot plate. I haven't been doing that. Fortunately if the coating peels off the function is not impaired.
I expected to get 4 of these just like to picture but it’s only one item.
I’ve been wanting a part of a coffee maker for a while now. Finally decided to purchase one for my birthday and so glad I decided on this one. I went back-and-forth here on coffeemakers.us.com searching for the best pour over coffee maker, comparing all the reviews and this one had the best of everything. Just made my 1st cup of coffee, it’s absolutely delicious and I just had to write a review immediately afterward. The Bodum Pour Over CoffeePot is stylish, sturdy, comfortable to hold when hot and cold and it’s super easy to take apart and clean. I had two videos to upload but coffeemakers.us.com only allows one, so trying to include as much info as possible. I used 12oz of water and 2.5 level scoops of coffee for my xl coffee cup. I would suggest grinding your own beans if you have a coffee grinder. I use the prepackaged Gevalia Papua New Guinea coffee which is a fine ground. Took about 5-6 min to brew. Side noting that the coffee will not be too hot by the time brewing has completed due to the length of time it takes for fine grounds to brew. A slightly larger ground coffee bean would work best and would be hotter when finished. I add milk to my coffee, so that does tend to cook it down slightly also. Overall, I’m extremely pleased with this pot and the delicious cup of coffee it produced. Comparing my experience to the other reviewer’s, the Glass is sturdy, it’s not thin at all, so as long as you don’t manhandle it roughly, you should be just fine. The cork is very comfortable in your hand, protecting your hand from the heat of the coffee and it is NOT hot at all to hold. It comes apart easily, simply squeeze the button, gently loosen the leather strap, and it slides right over. The cork pops right off, wash with soapy hot water and dry. Cork pops right back on and stays in place while you use two hands to replace the leather strap and re-tighten in place. Love this pour over coffeepot and highly recommend it. Don’t hesitate, it’s perfect! Two thumbs up!
I used a Philips 4300 LatteGo coffee maker for a few years before giving up on the complexity and going back to a Keurig machine due to its simplicity. So when I saw this I thought it might give me the ability to do something a bit more premium, without having to deal with the large Philips style machine. This machine is compact and simple - it's about half the size of my Keurig machine. It has a small water reservoir on the back, which is good for quite a few espresso shots. There are only three controls on the whole machine. A power switch on the back right, and a small and large (lungo) serving button on the front. That's it. You can adjust the size of the servings through a "press and hold" sequence that isn't explained well in the manual. The standard lingo serving is too big for my little espresso cups, but the opening on the front of the machine is too small for a standard coffee cup - so that makes it difficult to use. The machine was finicky to get going - the first time I used it the pump ran and ran but it wasn't drawing any water. I had to run the machine twice without any pod, then twice with a pod, and then it finally started to work properly. Anyway, yeah - it makes a good espresso. If that's what you want, then this fits the bill. If you want anything with frothed or steamed milk, you have to do that separately. If you want coffee, you can't do that. If you want literally anything other than espresso, this isn't the machine for you. So if you are a lazy espresso drinker, this is the machine for you. :)
Have been using this for a while and has been super convenient. It comes with a airtight cup and is the perfect size for me to bring to work. Easy to use and easy to clean. All i have to do is dump out the coffee grinds from the catcher and rinse it out, no dishwasher needed. Beats buying a coffee from a coffee shop and has saved me tons of money. From the day it arrived up till now the coffee machine has probably paid for itself fourfold!. all in all great product and highly recommended.
Steam comes out from every direction which result the whole coffee pot gets very hot and water builds up inside the display but it's all said and done you will be about one cup short of water than what you put in there not very happy with the product.
So good and love this for traveling! It works well and easily, I highly recommend!
First and foremost, we own several Breville products and find me gravitating towards them for their design athletics and purported quality and performance. I have developed a love/hate relationship with this coffee maker. When it works, there isn't anything better that delivers the flavor of fresh ground beans. The carafe is on par with Yeti for keeping my coffee hot until near noon. Although it is a pain to dispense 100% off the coffee due to the nature of its design. The hate... approximately 1 out of 5 grinds, the chute from the grinder to the hopper clogs. To my knowledge the only way to position the stainless closure disc is to turn the machine on, then open the hopper door to access the chute before the disc closes. It is generally messy and a pain to clear the chute. Eventually the machine's internal water valves must crack and allow water to leak internally. This unfortunately occurred with ours and has seemingly shorted out the circuit board. During the grind cycle, the grinder never stops, and it eventually comes to a halt creating the smell of a burning motor. The bottom the machine shows water damage, rust, and discoloration. What a shame! What do you want for nearly $380. Breville clearly has an issue with this design yet does little to stand by their products. The factory offered for me to send the unit it to be repaired (if possible) at my expense. Losing faith in the Breville Brand. Had an on/off switch fail on my Breville Burr Grinder a few years ago...that made it into the trash.
This is a great french press, as most reviews mention. I only want to add that it fits perfectly in a water bottle cage.
This Bunn is great! I had the old fashioned Bunn until now and what I really needed was a timer with sacrificing the Bunn taste. EDIT: Having had this for a month had to return. The coffee always tasted burnt. I have to change my review to 3stars. It does work quickly, the coffee is hot but the taste is awful! Went back to okd style bunn.
Linda, hermosa, preciosa, enamorada de mi cafetera. Hace rato quería una justo así. La súper recomiendo
Very happy with my new portable coffee maker. I am an espresso "addict" and it is not so easy to find a good one during my travels and I don't have time to leave the office to find one. And I can take my favorite pods with me and keep the same taste as always, every day, everywhere. I found the perfect solution. The automatic water heating is a plus that make it easier, I don't care how many coffees I can make on a charge, it's just for me! It seems like a good material and a nice color, quite large and a little heavier than I expected, but I want to think that means quality. I would recommend pods instead of ground coffee, easier to clean. Also the small tank makes buyers prefer espresso instead of a full cup, but you can fill the rest of your cup with hot water and should work. Negative: I thought it was equipped with USB C (as in the description) but it has its cable which is a USB A port, it is not a problem at all, I just have to remember not to forget it before pack. PD: in the photos you can see the cable, I can't complain. Used for a week so far, highly recommended!
