This coffee maker is the best! It's small, lightweight, compact and takes up very little counter space. It's very easy to set the clock and program. The digital display is nicely bright and legible. The controls are soft and pleasant to the touch. It was a breeze to set up. The instructions are basically not even needed, but are provided. It is programmable with a fourteen cup capacity. The coffee pot is portly and sturdy, with a comfortable grip. It brews coffee with a breeze and it never disappoints. It consistently and reliably turns out great tasting coffee. The coffee is always fragrant, hot, fresh, and of course always delicious! I don't have any complaints! I recommend getting this coffee maker for your coffee lover as well. They will be as pleased with it as I am with mine!
I love a lunchtime coffee but I prefer it to be cold, cold brew is obviously great for that. The lid which feels like very cheap plastic, is a little disappointing but the rest of the jar is great. The glass is big enough to allow you to make enough coffee for a couple of days and the filter is made of stainless steel. It also comes with a handy metal mixing spoon. Overall this is great for those new to cold brewing or as a gift.
Very stylish slow dripper. It does a great job with Hario filters. This is my go to on a workday morning since it’s very easy to use and clean.
This igs 2nd 1 I bought. First lasted Over a year so definitely for for the money is great. Not fancy yet nice looking and chip that comes with is greasy keeps hot or cold for hours!! Perfect for just a quick cup of coffee ot tea.
The product has worked amazing so far. I followed all the set up instructions and as other people mentioned there was a loud noise at first but I think that was the machine getting water in the hoses for the first time because it has not done it since. The K-Cup side and the nespresso side have worked great and right out of the box we put this machine up to the test we made lattes, hot coco, coffee and espresso martinis all in the first day. The water tank is a convenient capacity so you don’t need to fill it up every few cups. While running both the coffee and espresso side the machine is also quiet. I do notice that when you first select a function the machine takes about 10 seconds to start up but I think this is the machine warming up because if you immediately make another cup it doesn’t delay it. This is a great compromise for couples who like different types of coffee and don’t want to have two separate machines on the counter.
I purchased this as a gift to replace a plastic version of this that had gotten damaged. As a gift, it was well received and worked well until about 2 months ago when a faint cracking sound was heard when adding hot water. Upon inspection there did not seem to be any damage. Further continued use and more cracking sounds over the next few months till now when I was finally able to take a photo of it and post the pics here. It is worth mentioning that the plastic single serving coffee maker that this replaced was about 40 plus years old and the only reason it was broken was because it got wedged between some other items that cracked it. That product was made by Melitta in Germany. This replacement was made by Melitta in China. Needless to say, I am disappointed that it lasted such a short time before it cracked. It's still useable, but for how long till it splits in two, who knows. I'm giving this 2 stars because it did/does work well, cracking due to poor quality is what makes this lose 3 stars. ************************** Update May 7th 2024: Sadly this was thrown away shortly after I wrote this review. I purchased a plastic version instead, since the older version that the ceramic one was replacing was plastic, and lasted so long.
I decided to go with LaFeeca over a less expensive brand and I wished I had made a different decision. I bought this for the color and after a couple hand washes with just a sponge the paint started chipping off. It’s incredibly frustrating and I am thinking about throwing it away or scouring the paint off to make is stainless steel. Either way not worth the money. Other than the paint issue the product operates appropriately so far. However who knows what’s in the paint and it’s not worth getting sick from ingesting it.
Saving about $10 on two seemed to be a a good bet. One came almost as if new with the booklet, plastic around it and clean. It looked to be unused. It works great. Other one came with no internal packing and dried coffee grounds fell off the coffee maker when I removed the coffee maker from the box. Grimy around the heating element per image. Also; piece of plastic in box. As image shows . . . it was part of the water tank. This one is useless. The coffeemakers.us.com quality control was; to be polite," less than average" this time around. Anything that is food or beverage related I will most likely buy new in the future. Returning defective one.
The flavor of the coffee is great when you are are successful in getting an actual uneventful brew. I have been a coffee lover most of my 63 years and I have never experienced such a horrible time with a coffee machine. I do not recommend this machine. The price is way to high for having to waste a lot of coffee and time spent cleaning the mess.
I've had a lot of French press coffee makers, but this one is the BEST. I love the double-wall glass style, it is perfect to use in the microwave. So easy to clean :) It works very well, smoothly. The lid desing helps to keep the coffee inside when you are using the press. Great value for the money. My mornings are better now :)
Took a long time to get to me but when it did it arrived intact. Nice deal for a coffee maker. Slim space saving design. Like that it comes with an adaptor and just can use any coffee. You will have to just pour the amount of water you want in there and account for some water loss due to the grounds so there is a science in determining that. I don’t like the fact that it doesn’t have a drip tray as you can see with our white countertops it’s a hassle to keep that clean. The color is different, unique in that you have options to not go with boring black. Overall, if you are in a pinch this is a good option especially for those households that only drink a couple of cups a day. If you have the time, I would hold out on a Black Friday deal and perhaps get a name brand one at the same price.
Super cute, however the first time I tried to wash the pot the glass is so thin with no pressure at all it broke and sliced my hand.
We were so excited to get this coffee maker. While we do have a Keurig, we prefer the taste from good the perk coffee makers. So we were disappointed when we noticed the crack near the burner plate. For the money we would expect it to come in perfect working order. We have used it a couple of times and the crack seems to be cosmetic for now but I am very concerned about how long it will last before it stops, or worse if it burns up.
I own quite a few high-end coffee makers (many would say an unhealthy number!), including the Bonavita BV1800, BV1900TS, Technivorm, and Kitchenaid Pour-over Brewer. All of these brewers are SCAA-certified, and all brew excellent coffee. Each has its own quirks as well... The Bonavitas tend to have short lifespans (2-3 years) and are a bit too minimalist, the Technivorm has a lousy showerhead design that requires you to stir the grounds while it is brewing for optimal flavor, and the Kitchenaid tends to brew a slightly weak cup of coffee. All of these issues prompted me to continue my search for the holy grail of coffee makers, and I believe I finally found it. The Cuisinart CPO-850 is an engineering masterpiece in nearly every way -- beautiful design, sturdy construction, full-featured (includes programming ability, strength and temperature controls), excellent showerhead design, and brews a HOT cup of perfectly extracted coffee! Make no mistake about it, this is not your typical Cuisinart coffee maker, and you will be able to tell right away as you unpackage it. Parts feel thicker, heavier, and more satisfying (as they should for the price!). The display is large and easy to read, and the buttons have a satisfying feel to them. Everything is easy to set-up and disassemble for cleaning, and programming it couldn't be any easier. The machine also gives you the ability to change the brew temperature between hot and extra hot, as well as the brew strength between mild, medium, and bold. The strength control is very handy if you like to change between pre-ground coffees, and premium roasted beans, as pour-over style coffee makers, like this one, brew coffee at a higher temperature than your typical household coffee maker which tends to over-extract many pre-ground coffees. With the strength control, you can set the coffee maker to extract less from the coffee by changing it to 'mild'. This worked very well when I tried it! The CPO-850 is my favorite coffee maker on the market right now, and arguably one of (if not the) best out there period. Cuisinart really nailed the design. You can tell they put a lot of thought into the machine, and really did their homework with it. Kudos to Cuisinart if you are reading this review! Buy it! *** Update 1 week in *** : Carafe lid leaks slightly when pouring. Just a few drops on the counter though. Other than that, still the best coffee maker on the market, IMO! *** Update 2 weeks in ***: Received new carafe under warranty. New carafe lid also leaks a bit, so there appears to be design flaw with the lid seal. As for a workaround solution, I found that if you press down on the lid while pouring (placing fingers on both sides of the spout), it does not leak. You can also just pour extra slowly. Since this issue is relatively minor, it does not affect my overall view and rating of the coffee maker. *** Update 4 months in ***: The LCD display has dimmed over time. It is now roughly 50% as bright as it was when new. It is still perfectly usable though. Everything else has been rock solid. *** Update 9 months in ***: LCD dimming appears to stabilized. Display is still about 50% as bright as it was when new, but still readable. Everything else is still rock solid and performing like new.
Love the concept, but the execution was poor, and the quality of materials are not great. This leaked more than once and our refrigerator finding a big massive coffee. The flip top is very flimsy and doesn’t have a lot of making it very difficult to lock and turn off. I believe it had a constant drip no matter what we did. We will be returning and requesting a refund as this product was not a great us for us. I would maybe keep looking for a different product before purchasing this one… 🤷🏽♀️
