*****Update***** 5.11.15 Having received the new coffee pot lid I realized my original one was fine. This is irritating because I'd even emailed a picture of what I thought was a broken lid to Hamiltons customer service dept. We bought this brewer because we thought it was a thermal unit, it is not! The lid has an opening in it that lets all the heat just escape. The warming plate is all that keeps the coffee hot and only for a period. My previous thermal coffee pot actually maintained temp for hours. Within hours, this coffee pot is cold. Don't market a thermal coffee pot that isn't! ***Update*** Ordered this Nov. 29th 2013. About 3 months ago (Decemberish 2014) the coffee was cold by the time I got up. It had stayed nice and hot prior. I chalked this up to every other coffee pot and just nuked it. Then, just the other day (April 9th 2015) I looked at the lid while hand washing it and could see the sink. The little do-hicky past the finger trigger for pouring was missing. Between the coffee bump for dripping and the trigger for pouring there is a hole and a piece was missing from it. I have no clue how or where or when it disappeared. New lid is only $4.99 but freight is $13.50. Not happy about buying a new lid. Overall, I've liked the coffee pot. I've downgraded it to three stars as the lid shouldn't have broke. I'd also say get the 12 cup version. 10 cups sometimes doesn't cut it where an extra cup would have. I like the design and the stainless steel carafe. The warmer actually warms on this model which is nice. Coffee stays hot all day. Ordered brass filter separately. Brews in a timely fashion and coffee tastes fine.
This replaced an older model I had that I loved a lot. It’s great to have the full pot and single cup option makes a great cup of coffee. Look forward to many years of enjoyment.
I was unsure about this coffee maker after finding it a year ago bc of all the negative reviews. I'm especially particular about cleaning things so I was worried, but this little guy went on sale so I thought I would give it a try to create my very own coffee station. I LOVE this machine. I'm not a coffee connoisseuse, but I like having a cup in the morning with my breakfast. I'm familiar with keurigs and nespressos but I don't like the concept of single-use cups, so I wanted something easy I could use with my own coffee that was also more eco-friendly. This one checks all the boxes, and is also super simple to clean. There are two filters (scoop + filter) that I rinse under water before filling the scoop again, and occasionally I will also rinse the gasket ring thing at the top when it accumulates buildup. Two notes: 1) yes, there is some splatter but I find it minimal and manageable, 2) the instructions are super clear that you should NOT fill the scoop above the "max" line, or the water above the "max" line. If you follow the max lines, you will not have issues lol. Or at least, I haven't had any issues in the past year that I've been using it. Overall it's a steal! Totally would recommend!!!
Just look how perfectly small this is! For espresso on the go, and a quick pull and not have to clean any pucks, or buy any K cups this is perfect. Just boil water, pour wait press and enjoy. Perfect size for a 4-8oz espresso for 2. Thick glass, good for more than a few uses perfect for camping, tailgate parties and Bbq events. Imagine breaking this out at the next party and ask if you can boil some water real quick. I will keep this on me at all times in the travel pack. you never know when you need a quick pep, and sometimes you just don't have time for a full pot of coffee. Would make a great 10-16 oz of normal coffee as well, right for the break time at work when you don't want to share, quick rinse and back to the office. Lovely. Perfect size, great price. Love , love this coffee maker..Ihave purchased Bunn coffee makers in the past they normally only last me fir 2 years..they were not programmable , so this is gteat, more of a sleek drsign , that I love..it is a bit taller than my previous coffeemaker..fits perfectly with my style, a d design of my kitchen..
I’ve wanted one of these for a while and after a lot of research this is what I landed on. I am not a coffee snob in anyway, but the filtered drip coffee was just not doing it anymore. I love that this does mugs for a quick fix and espresso shots for a homemade latte. It is easy to use and the machine reads what pod you’re using-I don’t even think you actually have to push the button after putting a pod in. I also like the fancy automatic lift and close of the machine when putting the pod in. The water tank is easy to remove and fill and the platform for mugs is adjustable. It makes coffee real quick and the taste is great! I also enjoyed the sample pack that came with it. I still have to dive into the deep world of flavors and options nespresso offers but for now basic pods are hitting the spot and the machine is working lovely. I think the price point is reasonable. It makes good coffee efficiently for a simple person.
A great product. I make a container and take it to work every day. I mix it with my protein powder for a delicious cold brew coffee. Glad I found this product.
The coffee pot is nice looking, yet it’s made of lightweight plastic and flimsy materials. The brew button would start & stop periodically until the brew button no longer powered on.
First impression "way to small" but once i put to work it did what i needed It makes a good plus sized cup of coffee. Around 9 oz. Its compact size is great for my lack of storage space and it is not that difficult to clean and no wasteful paper filters. you can see touch and clean all the parts easily It want shatter like the last french-press I had and enjoyed. There are plenty of videos on how to use and care for a french-press
This thick plastic pour over coffee maker fits 8-10 cup filters and makes good coffee, fast. It fits a wide variety of containers. Place it on top of a cup, jar, thermal cup or, thermos. Put a filter into the top, add coffee, boil water and pour over the coffee, let it flow through and you won't have to wait very long, repeat until water to coffee ratio is complete, drink coffee. The long smooth, downward directing ridges and large bottom hole at about 1", allows water to flow through quickly and completely, with no weakening or tearing at the bottom of the filter. It feels sturdy and stable on top of a container with a thin 1/8" bottom outer lip and a 2"w x 1/2"deep bottom inner circle ledge. Overall the total width with the useful handle is about 5.25"w x 4"h. It is about 4"w across the top opening, and 4.25"w across the bottom that sits on the container. It is easy to clean with little to nothing to catch any coffee debris. It's great for the camper or at home.
I absolutely love it...took me some time to figure it out and just figured out how to turn it off with out unplugging it yaaaaaay what a nice birthday gift from my hunny
We loved this because of the size and the easy to pour feature, but after a week it cracked on the top and a piece of the glass fell off. I checked the reviews and saw that happened with a few other people, as well. For the price, I’m very upset that it only lasted a week. We bought a different replacement.
I love this coffeemaker. It is true plastic elegance at a very low price. The red color is what does it for me. Sure to become a cult classic. I'm taking mine with me everywhere I go.
Pros: quick brew time, HOT coffee right after brew even after adding LOTS of creamer :), hot plate keeps coffee HOT, cup to cup accurate for measure, love AQUA color, reusable filter does NOT let coffee grounds through, super easy to clean. Cons: no auto shut off, and sender did not package the unit in anything besides a plastic bag and the original box it was manufactured in....hinge on coffee pot reservoir was broken upon arrival. Feel like this could be remedied if it was packed like a breakable fragile item should be. Also tried to read to see if it was MADE in USA on product info prior to purchase, could not determine.....really wanted to by any Amercian made unit. I “think” it might be( but don’t hold me to it. Hard to find an american made coffee maker...sad
It makes quick and easy iced and hot coffee. For hot coffee I omitted the ice and adjusted the amount of coffee grounds I added.
