I bought this Mr. Coffee coffee maker as an easy way to clean the essential parts in the dishwasher for a better tasting cup of coffee. It didn't quite work out in that order. I got the best tasting cup of coffee by using cold filtered water in the reservoir. But only by using the filtered cold water NOT by taking the coffee maker apart like the instructional video and the directions from the Mr. Coffee booklet. In other words, this coffee maker is a piece of crap! The top lid of the upper detachable coffee maker does not come off like instructed. In the video for this product the lid is supposed to come off by pressing down on the orange-yellow tab gently and the lid lifts off with ease. Not true at all. So I called an coffeemakers.us.com product technician to help me take the lid off. He said that the through his own instructional video Mr. Coffee gave coffeemakers.us.com techs that by pressing the orange-yellow tab it should work. When I tried it with him on the phone and me in the kitchen struggling to get it off the tab wouldn't budge and I ended up breaking off the small plastic black piece that attaches to the tab. Since this happened while still on the phone with him, he sent me an email for a return label. Bottom line, Mr. Coffee needs to back to the drawing board literally. This is false advertisement in the worst way. Buyer beware!! Do not purchase this product.
So, some disappointed. I give this Mr. Coffee three stars. Anyway, one star for small footprint on my very small kitchen countertop. Second star is for the shortness of the power cord as that works well in tight, limited space. Third star is it's simple - just one switch to flip to on. Brewing coffee - well, um - not great. Biggest complaint is brewed coffee not hot! Had to microwave (hate using microwave) to get cup of brewed coffee to acceptable temp. Poured one cup, which I had to heat by microwaving and let remainder of brewed pot sit on heater element for at least 15 minutes. No luck with that as second and final cup not hot enough either. Update: So yes, changing my review from 3 stars to 5 stars. Didn't like this coffee maker much when first received. Actually thought I'd donate it. But, had no functional coffee maker so as daily morning coffee drinker HAD to use, haha. After few days of using realized my biggest gripe: I was perfectly happy with my old coffee maker of 4 years and annoyed it died. Subconsciously, in my annoyance, looked for the differences between old coffee maker and this mr. coffee replacement. Judged harshly. Here's the deal. Been using this mr. coffee for more than a month. Everything I complained of now evaporated from my thoughts. I've completely accepted the loss of my old machine, learned to appreciate and enjoy this new machine - and viola; all ends exceedingly well.
I love this coffee maker, unlike the full-size larger Keurig coffee makers this one the second you turn it on it’s ready to go even if it’s been awful all night. I don’t know how it does it, but it puts out hot water as long as there’s water in the reservoir. I love not having to wait for the water to heat up first to be ready for my 1st cup in the morning, I love how slim this is and it holds a good amount of water in the reservoir. I also like that it gives a 12 ounce option. My old one only went up to 10 ounces. I think for the money this is definitely a good value and I am very happy I bought it. I have at least 15 cups of coffee a day so I have been really putting this machine through its paces and it is doing great.
We had one of the original Keurig's for about 5 years and worked great. Wanted to get a newer one (silver) to match the appliances in our kitchen and with a few more features. This one works well but my main complaint is the space between the platform and the dispenser is much shorter than our other one. We have to slide the platform out before we can place a tall travel coffee cup under it. It also drips longer post-brew and can get messy if you don't wait. I have to say we like the older one better but we are managing. 8/9/17 Update: After using this Keurig for a while now, we definitely do not like this design. It can be very messy because the drip tray has to be moved out of the way when filling any tall coffee cup. 12/3/17 Update: I got tired of dealing with drippings after brewing for our tall coffee cups so I made my own, low-profile platform. Keeps my counter clean and don't have to worry about sliding in/out the old drip tray. See image.
As a turkish coffee addict, I have really loved this. I highly recommend it!
Okay so I bought one because one of my buddies had one in his tent. Mine does not make coffee properly. It spits the coffee out of holes on the top and all on the ground like in the pictures. BUT when I use my buddies coffee maker (Same brand and style) it works just fine. I have a picture of his to. If y’all have any questions I’ll try to answer them.
This product sucks it came broken it doesn't even do a good job sifting the grounds from the water and isn't worth 9.15 dollars that's for sure 😩😑🤬😡🙄
First off you don't get to choose the amount of coffee you want to grind. The power on button just stays on until you turn it off. Luckily it's not too loud because it keeps raining until you hit the off button. Also the collection cup has cup markings but you can't see it because it's dark from the coffee and the static is so bad that it gets all over the place, and it's hard to push the cut back in because the grinds are all over it, as you can see in the picture.. and before I return this I noticed that they're going to charge you 3 different fees, if you've used the product which as you see, I'll probably have to pay for
I love that it comes with a nice-sized scoop that can reach down in the Coffee Bag.
Cracked from not even boiling hot water.. just 1 month in. Probably used around 20 times. Perfect size as it’s 19.5oz instead of the 16oz usual ones. But super cheap. Worse quality than all others (I have 14 different ones, yes.. I know.. but I like this size). Should cost maybe $5-10 for the quality. Also, I love that I can clean it easily. But there is always an issue getting the remaining liquids out of the bottom chamber that’s under the mesh. You have to shake it around to get the last of the liquids out. But it’s nice to not have to worry that you set it on something and it’ll pour out like the rest. This one you can pour out only if you press the button. But sooooo cheap of material.. definitely overpriced in comparison to all others in the $20 range. I want to repurchase but I don’t know if I want to waste $20 a month.
I love this coffee maker! It’s very practical to use. The milk frother is great. The only downside is that the coffee tends to splash outside the cup. What a pity.
This is an excellent accessory for someone who loves coffee and camping. The device is very lightweight and does not take up too much room. All the pieces with it can be nested inside the brewing cup or in the machine. You can also use different-sized coffee pods inside it, but I have yet to try that since I don't have any. It also has a scoop for placing loose coffee in the brew basket.
Had kitchen fire a few days ago and am stoveless which means I've been coffee-less as well 💔 tragic. But this magic pot of gold has saved my foul mood. This is the perfect coffee pot for couples. I like espresso drinks and my husband like a regular pot of coffee. The quality is pretty good, haven't had any problems with it and it's over 2 years old. Happy with my purchase!
