  • Was a 5 star to begin with, now today, only a few months later it no longer works. Lights up (as you can see in the photo) but nothing else. On a good note though I contacted Mr. Coffee through Facebook and they are sending me a new one. After reading other reviews and comments on their page, it seems this particular model is known for "crapping" out! 😳

This is the first French press I have used and I have to say that I am impressed by how easy it is to use and by the quality of coffee it produces. It is very easy to assemble and disassemble for cleaning, and comes with two extra screens that can replace the original ones when they wear out. The frame as well as the plunger and lid are made of non-corrosive 304 stainless steel, so this should last a long time. The glass is borosilicate, so it is heat resistant. In the instructions it says to add hot water not boiling to the beaker. The optimal temperature for brewing a good cup of coffee in this French press is around 195 degrees, at least that is what I have found works well. It is very easy to use, you just add a tablespoon of coffee per 4 ounces of water, then add your water, stir, put the lid on loosely and let it sit and brew for 3 minutes. After the 3 minutes are up, you can press and serve and enjoy a wonderful cup of fresh coffee. I definitely like French press coffee now that I have tried it, and I enjoy making it with this unit.

This is my third Keurig. It is also the lowest quality Keurig I’ve ever owned. The plastic is very cheap and feels like it’s going to break. When you put in a K cup the top does not close (picture is included) 100% like previous models, I would not recommend purchasing this for this price. I purchased this on sale and it’s still not worth the price. Keurig should be ashamed of themselves.

  • I bought it strictly because I thought the rose gold was cute. But after having many other French presses over the years this is the first where the pieces don’t come apart. Makes cleaning not as thorough.

  • Love it! Brews fast and hot and it's so cute!

  • I’ve had so many coffee presses in the past. The glass ones break at the most inconvenient time. One metal press that I use for camping and tried some gimmicks. This has been the best one yet! My favorite two things are, first they engraved an arrow on the lid so you can align and pour easily. Second, the actual press. The screen is high quality and very fine filtering. It also cleans bett than any I’ve ever owed. No disassembling. Just lay it in the top rack of the dishwasher and normal wash cycle.

  • Overall nice and very compact coffee maker. Great for small places like classrooms and offices. Very easy to clean and com out as well. Not too complicated. Glass is strong as well. Overall nice product.

The unit itself is a beautiful matt black that fits with any kitchen's decor. It's a very sturdy unit and just the "heft" of it pleased me. The unit comes with a few paper filters, a scoop, and one charcoal water filter. Having the filter built-in to the unit is going to be a real convenience. The manufacturer recommends replacing the filter every 60 days, so you're going to want to lay in a supply, but fortunately these are easily obtained directly from Cuisinart and they may be available from coffeemakers.us.com, but I haven't been able to find them. The paper filters are actually optional, due to the included gold-tone filter, but I've found it's a lot easier to clean out the basket by just dumping out the paper filter and, as others have noted, you get a better tasting brew. If you grind your coffee, you need to be aware that any coffee maker can overflow if you grind the beans too fine - they'll plug up the outlet, so don't get carried away. This is coffee, not espresso. Also, I seen where others have mentioned that it's difficult to measure how much water is in the brewer and all I can think of is that normally you have an external water level somewhere that you can see and people are used to those. The Brew Central has a stepped-measure in the machine that I find easier to use. It's hard to describe, so I'll post a picture of when I get a chance. But the reason I like it is that while your pouring the water in, your looking right at the level and not testing your eye-hand coordination by pouring water while your looking someplace else. All-in-all, very pleased with the Brew Central. The coffee tastes great, stays hot, and the no spill carafe is a joy. Highly recommended.

  • Works just fine. Small, with a very slim profile, so it can fit into a small space. Takes very slightly longer to make one small pot of coffee than my old one did, but that's about my only issue. It kind of looks like a flimsy toy, but it does its job. I prefer to use paper filters, just because it's easier to clean up, so I'll have to buy cone filters rather than the flat bottom ones I was using before. After pouring the water in and adding the coffee, you need to close the lid completely before putting the pot back on the hot plate. Otherwise, the top of the pot will push against the bottom of the... whatever that thing is called... which will push the basket up, which will keep the lid from closing completely. It took me a minute to figure that out, and I thought that it was broken at first. It wasn't. I just had to figure out how to do it. another reviewer said that the coffee keeps running out even after you remove the pot, but he must have had a broken one because mine is not doing that. Once you remove the pot, the coffee stops running out of the... thing. Whatever it's called. For the money, it's a good deal.

I got this coffee maker as a gift in the metallic pink apprx. 6 yrs. ago. I LOVED IT. It just died on me today. That said, let me give some details. I am a chronic coffee drinker. I only like brewed, not that k cup garbage, so I used the heck out of mine. Brewed 3 to 4x a day with it (not always a full pot but 4 to cups at a time usually). It has held up phenominally! It has the pour before it's done brewing feature. It has preset timer to set up the night before & it'll brew at the time you select for morning, or whenever. It has 2 hour auto shut off. The carafe is solid, like very solid. I've bumped it quite hard several times over the years and it never broke or became frail. It comes with the filter system in place & you replace the little pods every so often. I didn't use that much after they were ready to be tossed. I just stopped "filtering" and it still, up until dying today, brewed amazing coffee everytime. The carafe lid locks into place so you don't have to hold it while you pour. Hour and minute time set are separate so it's easy to reset the time. It does not have the setting to know when it brewed. Not a big deal. And it's sleek and fits nicely on the counter without looking bulky. The only con is it doesn't have a window to show how much water you put in it. You have to look in the back to see and the numbers are staggered like stairs. But it's relatively accurate to the numbering on carafe so it's not too inconvenient really. Overall, this is the best coffee maker I've ever had! I'd buy another if it weren't so out of my budget. But it is totally worth the money for SURE. UPDATE: my bf was able to fix the cord so it's going strong again! 😊

  • I had this same coffee maker for five years and loved it. Two months ago I bought the same one to replace the old one. The time on the LCD screen stated disappearing. I unplugged it and it went back on. Now it’s completely gone and can’t use the timer.

  • Cuela el café muy bien y rápido

  • It's a great lightweight coffee maker. It is entirely of plastic, and that's not a bad thing. It's just, it's very light, which is good!! It comes with two different baskets, one for grounds and the other one and i'm not sure what it's for because it can't be a cake cup because there's a thing to poke the hole on top. I would highly recommend this coffee maker!!

  • This coffee maker is reliable and brews great-tasting coffee quickly. The dual warmers and extra carafe make it perfect for serving multiple people without interruptions.

Our previous Bunn leaked after a few years. I have a drawer full of filters, so I bought this BUNN. Easy to get started, coffee tastes great. Slight plastic smell out of the box - to be expected coming from Mfg. Gone in 2 days. My only comment is on the opening of the glass carafe. The older carafes had straight sides and the new one is bowed inward I presume to help keep the coffee hot. But I'm a stickler for wiping away water spots. I have small hands so it's easy for me to use a paper towel inside and wipe around inside. Not so for hubby.
