  • I ordered the sky blue coffee maker it is more a steel blue. Attached a photo of the coffee machine next to everything light blue in my kitchen.

I seem to purchase a Mr Coffee Iced Tea Maker every year and a half because I use my twice a week (at least). My old one had exposed wires where the cord was crimped, so I decided it was time for a new one. This is just like my others EXCEPT it is missing the printing on the front that shows "Mild" and "Strong". What happened to quality assurance?! I'll just write it on with a Sharpie as it's not worth sending back.

===Smaller 1-2 cup review=== Reviewing after my first try, will update as time goes on. From the reviews I was already expecting the plastic head part to not be great, but I'm Dominican so I just had a spare moka pot/greca around and replaced the head with a metal one. Couldn't find any review that mentioned changing the head so I was worried it wouldn't fit, but it fits perfectly and works just the same. I also read it brews too fast, but after 5-6 mins it came out pretty well, doesn't taste burnt to me. Another issue I read was that the metal separator that comes with it breaks easily. I just don't really use or need it. A pod good 👍 === Update 03/6/24: Yes, it leaks a bit when pouring. I personally don't care but this might be something you should consider when buying this, even with a different head part.

Instead of having a handy switch on a spring that stops the flow of coffee for you automatically when you remove the pot, on this stupid machine you have to switch it manually. No big deal you say? Well if you are forgetful like me (and you probably are) you sometimes forget to manually switch it back when you return the pot. (It doesn't help that the paint labeling the switch wore off in the first month of use.) Next time you make coffee it overflows and floods grounds into the coffee pot and you've wasted your beans and made a huge mess. In addition, the thermal carafe uses two lids--one for brewing and one for afterwards--so there's always a random lid floating around. I assume the goal of the design is to avoid using parts with springs and other fiddly bits, but this is just a poor solution that causes more problems than it solves. Not recommended.

In terms of simply making coffee, this coffee maker does a good job. I've certainly had better cups of coffee from more premium models, but I've also had far worse. Build quality is good, but I expected a little more considering the other options available at this premium. Setting this coffee maker up is simple enough, but if you expect to make changes later, be prepared for overly complex, tedious button pushing. Seriously, for such a simple control panel, it's ridiculous the combinations of buttons that need to be pressed to perform different tasks. Overall: To me, this is a decent coffee maker, no more, no less. The control panel and buttons are tedious at best. I'm not not impressed overall. 3 stars

  • It's been ages since I've had an espresso machine and I think this one has it's pluses and its minuses. A big plus is its small footprint on my counter. Other pluses: it is lightweight and user friendly. It makes a good espresso very quickly with good foam and no mess. The coffee temperature is also very good at about 156 degrees and the unit is quite easy to clean up. The minuses in my opinion are that the machine is mostly plastic with some metal, which is very thin. That makes me wonder about its durability over the long term. The biggest minus, however, is the difficulty in removing the coffee filter. If I didn't have some tough fingernails, I have no idea how I would have removed the filter as it was not going to budge. I opted to leave the double shot filter installed permanently because then, I can simply pack it with less or more coffee as I please. A double gets you about three ounces while a single is just under two ounces. The other part that caught me off guard and left me with a pool of water all over the place was the plug at the base of the water container. I put this on my counter and lifted the lid to fill the reservoir without noticing the large warning decal on the back. I relied on the instruction booklet, which made no mention of the plug. Ugh. Anyway, it's a pretty good unit that won't hog your counter space.

I don't know what the folks at Cuisinart were thinking. On the surface it does all the stuff. 2 hour set up just to get coffee. Functions I have tested all work. I'll have to keep the instruction manual with it to use and no guests will be using it. For the price I would not buy again.

  • I love this thing but I’ve only had it since the middle of October and it’s already falling apart. I’m not in my return window anymore and it’s upsetting. I don’t even use it yoften. I work at my office most of the week so only really use it 3 times a week.

This pot is a snap! Yummy coffee! Even just morning quick coffee. Only had few days but love it. Try to others pots, hard to use to much work. This one is perfect. Doesn’t use up to much counter space

Initially I was a little skeptical about a couple qualities, such as it's boxiness and it's snap on lid. But after drinking 1 pot of coffee, I was sold. I love that you can not only change the strength, but the temperature. And, you can make up to 14 cups which is great for whenever we have guests. I also like that it looks a bit retro. Our old coffee pot, a Coffee Ninja, cost us about $170. It never made coffee that tasted as good as this one does! We're very happy!!! Even my husband, who is a coffee snob, has zero complaints about the quality of coffee this maker produces.

This is the best little espresso machine I have found so far and trust me, I have bought plenty! (gave several away as gifts, too) Very easy to use and pretty fast - the espresso is delicious. It's Mr. Coffee's older model but I prefer that to the new ones which has a square top, this one has rubber grips on the cap that are easier for me to remove or tighten. If you are looking for a workhorse, you can't beat this lil guy and the price is right, ENJOY!

We have an espresso maker and a 14 cup pot. Lately we’ve been drinking less and less from the coffee pot in lieu of espresso. Added the single serve setup and we’ve transition to this for daily use. Very easy to use and fill up and we drink multiple different flavors easy enough. Love the ability to use pods or fresh grounds. The size of the unit is minuscule! Very small footprint and can go anywhere! Doesn’t leak, makes very little noise and the coffees hot what else could you ask for?

This is an update to my review. Weeks after I posted the review below, customer service contacted me and were very apologetic with my experience with the product. They offered to either send me a new carafe or one of their other products, or provide a full refund. While my point still stands that the glass carafe isn't durable, the fact that they're willing to go so far as to make up for my bad experience puts a smile on my face. They didn't have to, but they did. And that makes all the difference. The metal filter works decently well and is easy to clean. The carafe on the other hand...small opening that even a short guy with small has trouble scrubbing. Then, there's the durability of the carafe. The bottom of the carafe is extremely thin, so thin that it completely shattered when I bumped it lightly against the sink! You can see that I didn't bump it hard, as there's still parts of the bottom still intact, and the main body of the carafe isn't cracked or shattered. I didn't realize how thin the bottom was until I picked up a large chunk with a pair of chopsticks. I guess I can consider myself lucky that I had never walked it over to the table, where the glass would have gotten everywhere. Overall, works as advertised, but I won't be buying another one. $28 gone in the lightest of bumps.

  • Add your tea choice. Pour a flavor water choice, if it has sweeter already in the water. Wont really need to add extra. The picture is what I used to make mine
