The usage was goof but after the use the cap getting rust for me. It was very difficult to wash the rusted part.
I had the chance to use the product for a couple times and I love it! It takes the hassle away from draining all the grounds and disposing them. You take the filter out, unscrew the bottom and that is it! The glass seems fragile so you want to be careful while handling the bottle. Upon opening the box, I immediately noticed scratches on the lid, which seems to me that they didn't care how it was shipped. Don't know if they check for damage before shipping or not. And to make things even better, the manual came all in Japanese! I know how to make the cold brew coffee, but it would be nice to know how to properly take care of the coffee pot (cleaning, maintain, etc). I give 5 stars for the product; however, I give no stars for the damage to the product and the manual in Japanese! Arigato
It's just as the title says it's very easy to make cold brew coffee and it costs a heck of a lot less than going to Starbucks, which is exactly the intent.
Its beautiful. I absolutely love this coffee maker. I have been a Keurig buyer for years and been disappoint with Keurig. Have had to replace two of my Keurigs because of leaking terribly not just a drip leaking and could not return. I'm very happy with Hamilton thank you
The cup burned on my first use😓
I have spent hours looking at different french presses. The glass ones have a reputation for breaking, so that sent me looking at stainless steel models. I finally decided on this one after reading many great reviews. However, For every highly rated item, there are a few bad reviews. One of the reported problems with this model is the fact that is passes grounds. Well, it happened to me as well. It's not because I filled it too full. It is because the inside of the press is actually slightly out of round! I included a photograph to show this. If you look at the gap between the plunger and the press wall, you can see a portion of it where the filter screen cannot contact the press wall because of the out of roundness. Move 90 degrees around the circumference of the press wall and it is a very close fit. The plunger is in straight (see below), and is perpendicular to the press wall. Obviously, not all units are affected. Otherwise, everyone would be complaining. Additionally, the plunger stem is bent at the threads (see photo). As a result, the plunger does not sit perpendicular to the press wall. I had to disassemble it and remove the lid so I could position it properly. I suppose it could be bent back with tools, but I am not willing to do so after paying so much for this product. It should be perfect. Yes, it's made in China. But even in China, how hard would it be to have someone make sure the plunger wall is ROUND and the plunger is STRAIGHT? Surely, if they could form the housing into a beautiful shape and polish it to a brilliant shine, they could ensure that some basic measurements are within tolerance. No, I won't be contacting Frieling. I will be returning this press and purchasing another brand. It's too bad because it really is a work of art.
We have not had this coffee maker long (2 months... used 2-4 times a week) and now it makes loud odd noises, overheats with so much steam coming out you think it's on fire, and as of this morning all I get is nothing but water. I've cleaned every single thing I can think the clean out… and made sure the tubes were clear... and still nothing. Very displeased.
Since we purchased this machine, November 2022 it has been sent back 5 times already several times with error messages!! so many issues beyond that you pay $1000 for a machine that doesn’t work all the time is very frustrating and then you have to pack it up. Send it back and it takes about two weeks sometimes to get it back and then you’re out of a coffee machine for two weeks then you’re spending money that you already spent to have this machine you can make coffee at home but now because the machines been to the repair Versus in my home I’m having to spend money on coffee when I shouldn’t have too !! It is very frustrating at this point I don’t know why they can’t just send me the new machine and take the one that’s broken and use it as a refurbish and resell it somewhere else. Should customer have to wait almost 2 to 3 weeks to get a machine back. I don’t recommend buying this machine. Updated just got back from service and went to brew a cup coffee and exploded and almost hit me in the face
What other reviewers have said about the pot not keeping the second cup of coffee ‘hot’ is right on the money. Although I drink both cups one after the other to get my caffeine fix if I delay too long between cups the coffee is cooler than I’d prefer. But I have to say the pot makes an excellent cup of coffee which is flavorful and rich and brings out the specific rich notes in the coffee being perked. The other issue I have is the lid over the water well. In order to completely empty the pot into the well you have to hold the pot above the top of the lid and pour from height. On most days this isn’t a problem but don’t get distracted and look away or you’ll find water all over the counter ‘and pot cause you missed the well. All other traits of the coffee maker are acceptable-ease of use; it’s not noisy; and shuts it self off if you walk away and don’t turn it off (the real reason I purchased this machine); great look too. Overall I’d buy this again even with these two known deficiencies (in my opinion).
We hoped this would be our final coffee pot, and it still may be, but it will be a pain to replace the perculator top every six months. Is it tempered glass? Why did it crack and then do this?
The bottom, under the burner will rust and ruin your countertop.
Not happy with the size. It may be 27 Oz to the top, but no usable. I measured and it's 24 Oz to the tip (see picture) but have to deduct the space that the coffee grains and filters take, you end up with about 20 Oz of coffee. Not enough for 2 regular size cups. It does keep the coffee hot for a while and it's beautiful, but not practical for us.
I have this in our guest room so that guests can brew themselves a quick cup without having to deal with our big coffee maker first thing in the morning. It looks cute. I actually would say this brews some incredibly strong coffee. I used K-cups in the same medium brew that I've had with other K-cup brewers. The Mispresso must have utilized every single grind of coffee in that little cup, because let me tell you - it was so strong I could hardly drink it. So, I bought a lighter breakfast blend K-cup variety and that seems to be more drinkable. Before using it for coffee, I ran water and white vinegar through it a few times to clean it (just poured it in the chamber and "brewed" the water without a K-cup).
This amazing little dandy makes the best coffee iv ever had in my life and the tea is just as great and you can make cold brew coffee too, its rather easy to clean but sadly i worry it might rust with time due to how often it will be used and washed but even so it is worth buying and fawning over ! I highly suggest you buy it for a first time user its easy to use easy to clean and easy to look at , i would like to say that while the picture shows both spoons as metal the scoop i got was plastic but it works well because it can be used to stir apart your drink to break it apart before you plunge it it otherwise looks exactly as the picture and comes with all of the items it says it does. iv added a picture as proof to what i received
I have wanted one of these little pour over coffee makers for a while, especially for camping and traveling. About 16 ounces of hot water with fresh ground coffee beans makes a wonderful large cup of coffee or enough to share (but who shares coffee???) The insulated pot pours nicely without dripping, and is light but sturdy. I love the little bamboo stand! The whole product is pretty stylish and looks great in my kitchen, and the cup of coffee I had testing it was great. Easy to clean, too- a quick rinse and you're ready for another round :)
