  • I am finally in Love, Great coffee is the way to my heart. It takes 4 tablespoons of coffee and 32 ozs of water. I brought a great Moosoo kettle that holds 33oz of water to go with the Asobu coffee over pour. Sounds like a authentic Japanese tea party, LOL. It makes the perfect cup of coffee or tea every time. The top part is glass with a ring of attached black gripper that’s screws off and the bottom has a shiny rich cooper finish. After you finish pourI got your first delicious cup of coffee or tea. The thermal canister comes with a nice stainless steel lid that locks in the hot for your next cup. I waited 4 hours before opening the thermal canister for my second cup. Steamy hot coffee came pouring out, Amen for A product that lives up to it description. The stainless steel filter is great I can just wash it out and keep it moving. If you love coffee or tea like I do its a must have or gift it to a family member or friend that loves coffee. You will be on their Xmas list forever. Cheers

This is a review of the Cuisinart DCC-3400 12-cup coffeemaker with a thermal carafe (not a glass carafe). I like the coffeemaker itself. Controls are large enough to identify easily and are clearly labeled. It's easy to set the time and program. And the coffee is good--at least to my pedestrian taste. I decided to get the thermal carafe so that the coffee would stay hot without slowly cooking and acquiring that burned taste. That was a BIG mistake. Should have gone with glass. The carafe is heavy--over 2 pounds empty, over 5 pounds full. The top of the carafe measures 5 inches in diameter. But there's a plastic "collar" on the top (see the photo), and the opening is a little less than 2.5 inches. That means the carafe is awkward to handle. And it has to be turned almost upside down to pour the last cup or two. The small opening makes the carafe very difficult to clean. After two hours, the coffee is quite warm, but is not hot. More than that and a few seconds in a microwave may be required. In short, I would buy the coffeemaker again, but with a glass carafe.

I replaced a 17 year old Mr.Coffee with this new Mr.Coffee in 2021. In less than 6 months the hot plate was rusting. I never had a problem with the old one. It still makes good coffee, but never looks clean and the rust gets on the bottom of the carafe.

  • Makes great coffee.

  • This is my first Nespresso machine and it’s very easy to use. I read a review about the red light being on and overheating. We had the same issue and we think we figured it out. We have it on its own outlet and so far it has not overheated.

  • Not happy with this at all. This item for garbage only. Please check pictures . Disappointed in this kind of service.

Please PLEASE save yourself some major headache and a bunch of money and DO NOT BUY THIS COFFEE MAKER. I wish I could give it zero stars. We’ve had it installed for four months and it all of a sudden started flashing EEEE and won’t brew any coffee. The manual suggested we purchase a new culligan water filter for the fridge system we originally installed upon getting this coffee maker (at the recommendation of the coffee maker manufacturer to make sure everything operates the way it should). We still get the flashing EEEE and upon further research this is a very common issue that you can get easily clogged by “water debris” and then it will not function. I’m guessing water debris is from hard water which while we do have hard water in our area, we have a giant water softener system so I’m guessing everyone will have this issue. Also you cannot clean it with vinegar or anything else because it’s not a “consumer serviceable machine” and taking the back off the unit will destroy it. You have to call a technician. RIDICULOUS. Do not buy this piece of crap unless you want a three hundred dollar paper weight.

My cuisinart of 10 years died and I wanted an upgrade at my home coffee since I am using it more in the past 2 years. To start I was only interested in SCA machines and I wanted something easier than a Manila pour over that had a similar taste. I looked at super high end machines but couldn’t justify the $300+ price tags. I really liked the higher end ninja, but in the end I went with the Zojirushi because it was simpler (unlike ninja that did everything) and I hoped that meant less to break. I’ve had it two weeks now (so 14 pots). What I can say is that it is big. Bigger than my previous machine. Having the water bin be detachable is a huge plus. Much easier to fill. It is super simple to use with just a few buttons. The coffee is amazing. Super smooth and great tasting even at the end of the pot. In the end that’s what matters the most. I followed the directions to the letter for my first few pots. Oddly I think their recommendation for the amount of grounds is too much. I never thought I would say the coffee is too strong, but I went down to 10 scoops and it’s fantastic. I have not used the iced coffee attachment. I’m just not that into iced coffee.

I ordered two coffee makers (CM2046S & Coffee Maker) to understand which one is better and which one has all the defects fixed. It is the Coffee Maker model that has a negative where parts fall off. And in the CM2046S model they fixed all this. Buy the CM2046S, we are completely satisfied with it. And we returned the Coffee Maker model!

It is a good consistent coffee maker. It has a good water dispersion appature so all my brews have been well extracted and visually there is a flat bed suggesting it has done its job evenly. I set it for 330am and I wake early to good coffee. Simple. Quiet. Good taste. Heat level is on point. There's my two cents.

I drink a cup of coffee everyday. I hate drinking hot coffee in the summer. I did not want to buy an expensive cold brew coffee machine because I already have an expensive keurig. This cold brew coffee pitcher is inexpensive and super easy to use. I was hesitant at first because of some of these reviews. But trust me this is worth the buy!

I waited several months to write a review. This is because I have been burned by purchases before that are great at first and fall apart 3 months or so later. At first glance, this coffee maker is great! It brews hot coffee, apposed to a cheaper coffee maker and all parts are washable. Or, so I thought. The fact is that about 20% of the coffee reservoir cannot be accessed because it is blocked off by a rather silly implemented "float" mechanism that is supposed to show you how much is left in the basin. The reality of it is that most people have no need for this. 12 cups makes 4 drinkable cups (and a little more) for myself and wife in the morning with a tiny bit left over. That's two coffee mugs each and I don't need a gauge to remind me to count to 2. That being said, I rinse out the unit after every use and wash it weekly. It has never alerted me to de-calcify the unit, but I have done that twice since the vinegar solution also does remove some of the coffee off the metal heat transfer plate at the bottom. Last night, the unit started to emmit black flakes that would crumble apart at the touch. I thought it was coffee, and read what others have already mentioned here. I spent 2 hours last night rinsing, using vinegar clean cycle, scrubbing, etc and it didn't make a difference. This morning, after spending another 30 minutes at it, I removed the two screws at the bottom (they require a long screw driver shaft) to remove the top section of the basin. This allowed the float unit to slide right out. I was disgusted at what I saw. I quickly got excited as I examined the coffee basin and realized that the coffee maker would work without reinserting the float. Unfortunately, even with the float removed, the black flakes continued to come out. I found that I was able to scrape off the flakes with a wet paper towel and did so for about 20 minutes before I came to a conclusion. This isn't coffee. After the coffee residue was removed, the black flakes continued to come off the same spots and had a shiny, glittery quality to them. It almost looks like teflon when it gets scrapped off a pan. I then tried to wipe the interior of the coffee maker - the part that stays mostly dry (with the exception of water getting splashed on the sides) and what do you know. Very slight flaking and plastic strips coming off the side. I did not use the butter knife to scrape it out. I used it to scoop it from the bottom because my hand wouldn't fit inside. I HIGHLY do not recommend this coffee maker simply for health reasons. Do a google search and you will that the black flaking problem is not limited to only this particular model but several Cuisinart models. My guess it is either the plastic that is being used or a heat resistant coating that is being used. Either way, even if it is non-toxic, I would never be able to recommend to someone else. At the moment, I am now looking for a completely serviceable machine made from glass and stainless steel where all parts are removable and washable. Even if it's something meant for commercial use rather than home use.

The button is just a sticker that easily cracks and falls off. Luckily, Keurig is supportive and sent a replacement sticker. Now I will treat it more gentle while cleaning. I still love my K475. I recommend and would buy again and again.

  • The best feature of this product is it's collapsible. That makes it great for camping or travel. The stainless steel wire mesh strainer is very fine and keeps the coffee grounds out of your cup. It's somewhat slow draining, though, so be sure your water is really hot or else it will be cooled off by the time you drink it. Ask me how I know this. You might want to keep your cup on a cup heater or at least pre-heat it. It holds enough coffee for one or two cups. It's not for making a full pot. I found it to be quickly and easily cleanable, so that's a plus. The silicone rubber doesn't seem to attract coffee oils, so they wash right off.

LOVE the rose gold, such a great touch.. I even like that the handle is oversized, and that part seems to be of decent quality. The biggest downside is that it's wobbly! As you might be able to see in the photo I'm including, it doesn't stand on all fours, it only sits comfortably on three and then the fourth point of contact doesn't quite make it to the hard surface on which it stands, so it's somewhat disappointing. We've tried to fix it ourselves but haven't been able to. Bummer, as it takes away from the quality of the product.
