$350 for a coffeemaker is, well, silly. But I did it anyway. After years of weak pod coffee, then a few months of literal coffee flavored water from a “top brand” electric percolator, I was just done. All I wanted was a simple, good cup of coffee. No unnecessary tech to go wrong, no dumb “smart” tech, just a good cup of coffee. So, I did the unthinkable and bought the technivorm. The clinchers were it’s simplistic design, the fact that it has the least amount of plastic that comes into contact with the hot water or coffee (though it still has A LOT of plastic, much to my chagrin) and it’s made in The Netherlands, NOT CHINA. So, does it make a good cup of coffee? Yes! But boy is it strong for my now ridiculously unrefined palate. So many years of weak coffee made me forget what real coffee tasted like. It’s good, but will take time for me to adjust to. Or you could just lessen the amount of grounds used. I’ll probably do that. My biggest beef? The carafe. It is every bit as fragile feeling as all the reviews state. I’m thinking I should have gotten the thermal carafe instead. Plus, after using only twice, tiny little cracks in the lip of the pour spout have formed (see pic). I will contact technivorm for a replacement as truly, this IS indeed unacceptable for a $350 coffee maker. I will update if/when I hear back.
after 1 month of use it stop working in de display only appears OU
First use was fantastic, no problems. Second use, same technique and the the bottom breaks. The filter would not stay attached and it fell to the bottom of the pitcher, breaking a pretty significant hole. Mind you, it was only falling from about an inch or less away so the impact was not significant enough to cause this damage. Money down the drain.
Makes a great tasting and smooooooth coffee, and great design for the basket and clean-up aspect. I've found that letting the coffee/press cool a bit makes the basket easier to "pull out" when lifting up the lid and filter... It's fun to use too!!
I don't understand why you'd produce a painted product with the cheapest paint available, knowing that Every Single Review mentions that the paint comes off your product. Paint coming off within DAYS of use. Well, I don't really care THAT much about the paint on my coffee press, but it doesn't make sense for the company to keep ripping customers off like this. If you can get past the paint rubbing off DAYS into owning the unit, it will make you coffee and keep it hot for a little while longer than a tempered glass press. It won't keep your coffee hot for HOURS or anything, but you can get a good 30 minutes out of this insulated press. If you really need your coffee to stay hot all day... transfer it immediately to a Rubbermaid Thermal Bottle 20oz and you'll have hot coffee the next day too lol. PRO TIP: To clean your coffee-stained brushed stainless drinking vessels/press use a couple of tablets of denture cleaner (the fizzy kind) and it takes the stains right off!
This is a very nice French Press. It’s not flimsy or cheaply made stainless still. I am happy with the quality of its design and being that is isn’t made of glass or plastic parts this one will last a long time compared to my last one.
I love this cold brew filter. It’s nice that it makes enough for at least one cup a day, so I don’t have to worry about prepping things before I go to bed. The spout makes it easy to pour the coffee, I can even do it one handed. The only downfall, which is very minor, is that it tends to drip a tiny bit after pouring a cup, so it requires minor clean up. Overall, it is worth every penny!
It's working again
Very poor quality. The glass siphon broke while I was taping a plastic coffee scoop on the inside edge of the siphon. I really like this coffee maker, but I am very disappointed that it broke. The Yama siphon is not cheap; it should stand up to the taping of a plastic coffee scoop.
Great little coffee maker, simple to use.
This pour over coffee set has one of the best filters I’ve used for coffee. Most will leave swirls and swirls of ground residue in bottom of the cup. The gooseneck pot I just fill with boiling water from the kettle then I pour over those coffee grounds. It doesn’t take long and it is a simple rinse after use . So easy . The cups I probably won’t use as I’m not used to a stainless steel mug and I think this would be best with mug choices. It’s a great gift with showcase box , but it does look a little like corporate gifts as a holiday finish for year end .
Nowadays any single house machine seems to be like a gadget with so many buttons to push and codes to read. But not the BraunSense coffee maker, it excels by its simplicity. It does what it's suppose to do, brew a nice and hot cup of coffee right now or at the time you desire (nothing like waking up with the smell of fresh-brewed coffee). We used to have Tassimo, that isn't bad at all, but can become quite expensive when choosing the better brand t-cups. By using regular coffee beans, we can now enjoy the best aromas without braking the bank. It's solidly built, easy to clean, and makes good, hot coffee. If looking for a simple and practical coffee machine, we definitely recommend it. "This product has been put at my disposal for no compensation and in order to share my honest and unbiased opinion. Once I have completed my testing it will be returned to the manufacturer."
I've been making cold brew with this for about 5 weeks now and I have nothing bad to say about it. The design is genius. It's so easy to clean. I love that it's glass and that the plastic pieces don't feel cheap. Coffee taste great.
Looking for small size and under $200 multiple coffee maker, this is very perfect fit my limit space in kitchen. Is great that makes a cup of coffee, cappuccino, but it makes me surprised the milk from cup make green tea lattes very good, save me a lot money to buy outside lol
