Percolators need a larger grind coffee to brew correctly this particular pot also benefits from a paper disk filter in the bottom of the grounds filter. Quickly perks about 20 ounces of perfect coffee ☕️ and the best part is that I set it up the night before. Alexa turns it on as part of my alarm routine so that "The coffee is ready" is announced after the time, date, and daily weather forecast. It's a great way to start the day when going back to sleep isn't an option.😴 I get my coffee and reset it for my wife's morning routine, if you share the same schedule you might want the one of the larger pots to share. ☕️ ☕️
Coffee was great...very easy to operate...plus it's cute! Makes 1 large cup of coffee!
We’ve travelled this thing all over the globe, and it’s also our daily coffeemaker. A rare, perfect, item. Ours is two and a half years old, and it looks and works like new. I don’t often write reviews, but as I sat admiring the French press this morning it occurred to me that this product deserved a nice note. I’ve owned probably two dozen French presses in my life, and many, many other machines. This one takes the cake! The last BIG press I bought had upwards of 5000 reviews, with a five star rating- it got water inside of the top cover and grew mold where we couldn’t clean it. Gross! The Frieling is truly the last French press we’ll ever need. I prefer the brushed steel, as it wears a little better (I have a smaller stainless Frieling in the polished finish.) Sincere thanks for our most important tool in the house!
So, a friend inspired me to order this. I have to wake up super early, sometimes, and really don’t have time to make a good cup of coffee before a meeting. This helps so much because I can literally make a cup of espresso right at my desk. It’s so easy and simple to use. It came charged enough that I could heat and make two cups of espresso. I didn’t realize it ran out of battery (hadn’t read the instructions yet) and thought it had just stoped working. Nope, after a recharge it was back to chugging along. It doesn’t work when charging, so it’s good to keep it charged when you know you’ll want to use it. I tested and got 3 cups with room temperature/cold water and got 5 cups from already hot water. The battery is decent. Also comes with a nice travel case, which makes travel and storage easy.
The product does what it says. Definitely a learning curve to figure it out in terms of brewing/flavor achieved, the directions don’t really help much in that regard. Have used it for just over a month and the glass knob on the top has broken on the underside during brewing. I found the shard of glass on the top grate when I went to clean it. Too late to avoid drinking it for fear of shards as we had no idea it happened. Glass was probably not the best choice of material for the knob.
La cafetera llegó muy sucia por dentro, por más que tratamos de limpiarla se quedó con manchas
Updating my review from 5 stars to 3 because at this price point, the auto start button should not have broken within 1.5 years. I reached out to Breville because it was still under warranty and had an ongoing issue receiving the return shipping label which they were fully aware of. They closed my case without resolving. The button to set auto start for the morning is still broken so I have to manually start everyday which is very annoying. I wouldn’t have purchased without this feature. Still using for now will not replace with the same one.
I absolutely love this product! It makes making cold brew coffee so quick and easy. Just put the coffee grounds into the center filter, add water and throw it in the fridge! After 12-18 hours you have iced coffee! And it’s easy to wash! I’m all about kitchen utensils that are easy to clean. 10/10 recommend
I bought this for a good price but I don’t feel safe with small wires sticking out. I was poked with the wire when I pulled it out. I won’t risk it again and I also won’t risk the possibility of small pieces being pressed into the coffee. This will be returned
The direct water line attachment is very convenient. It easily connected to the filtered water line going to the refrigerator. The profile is nice - it fits nicely on the counter and the blue backlight adds character. There are two brew baskets - one for the carafe and another to brew one cup at a time. You can also use the machine for a single cup of hot water for tea... The water is heated on demand - in the video below you will see that the temperature is about 162 degrees F using a digital instant read thermometer. The Speciality Coffee Association (SCA) has a home brewer certification program and they recommend a minimum water temp of 197.6 F (92 C) and at least 4 minutes of contact time between the water and grounds for optimal flavor extraction. I find the flavor to be bland with the Brew Express. My prior Behmor coffee maker was SCA certified and the flavor and aroma were exquisite using exactly the same ground coffee. The water temperature and contact time with grounds is clearly important for optimal flavor extraction.
The carafe side has malfunctioned twice. It ground half the beans, did not shift them into the basket, then brewed a very light tinted cocnoction. The K-Cup has malfunctioned several times. For some reason the K-Cup overflows and sends grounds everywhere, a nightmare to clean up. All instructions were followed, beans properly measured, etc. We have had it 40 days so of course coffeemakers.us.com will not accept a return. Manufacturer has been non-responsive for a week.
I have been wanting a machine to make specialty coffees for a while. I am not a huge coffee drinker, but I do like a latte. I refuse to pay the high price for them though. This machine is so nice. I expected it to be larger, but I am happy that it isn't. It doesn't take you much counter space. It has suction cups on the bottom of it, so it stays put. I love that it heats up the milk and does the frothing. It does everything for you! You just choose if you want an espresso, cappuccino or latte and the size you want and push the button. You need to add coffee, water and milk, but it does all the mixing for you. It also has a cleaning feature which is important because of the milk. My husband didn't believe that it added the milk. I think he is impressed too. I added some caramel syrup to the cup, hit the button for the latte and yum! Full disclosure, the first time we used it, we used too small of a cup and it spilled over, but now we have that figured out. I am extremely happy with it. It is so easy to use and fun too!
I started to use the coffee pot on June 7,2023 and today which is July 19,2023 it is not operating at all I don’t know what to do
