  • As seen in pictures, the pin to hold the lid on, wasn't secured. As soon as I tried it on the stove, the glass percolator broke. Fell into the water. Glad I heard it. Could have been really bad if someone actually tried drinking anything from it.

So this has been out for some time now. And I did not buy mine new. I actually got mine used at a yard sale for a few dollars. But I have had no problems with mine at all. Which is good, seeing as it's an older model and the previous owners have used it who knows how many times. I love how it takes less than a minute to make a full cup of coffee! I figured I would just leave my honest feedback incase someone was still wondering about buying this. I have had no negative experiences with mine like some people mentioned.

  • I recently purchased this coffee maker, and while it has some strong points, I can only give it a 3-star rating. The design is solid and aesthetically pleasing, which is a plus. However, I've noticed a consistent issue where coffee grounds tend to cling to the top ridge and occasionally end up in my coffee through the pour spout. It's a bit frustrating, and I hope this aspect can be improved in future models.

Starbucks has nothing on this bad boy! It works great and makes a good cup of joe. The filter itself is a little small so you have to babysit it a little more to keep adding water. The only other complaint is that the filter base will only fit on standard sized mugs. It will not sit on any rim that is larger than 3” in diameter.

So, I bought this to replace a single serving coffee maker. First one arrived next day. Within one hour I had a replacement shipped because the first one leaked like crazy. It was worth the wait. Coffee from this tastes so much better than the single serve pod machines. Even the ones you put the grinds in. It'll make 5 cups. There are measurements on the tiny pot handle and inside the machine itself. As a warning, I haven't tested it but I don't believe this will shut itself down after X amount of time. There is however a thermal switch in the bottom that *should* prevent catastrophes. (coffeemakers.us.com if you're reading this I totally didn't disassemble it and void my warranty.😏) On the bright side, you can put it on a smart socket and have Alexa start it in the morning. This unit takes 7 minutes to brew 5 cups. It starts perculating in about 1.5 minutes. Did I mention how cute the tiny coffee pot is? Ohh those reviews with the shattered pots... The pot is thin glass. Do not change the temperature too quickly or leave it on the hot plate (bottom of coffee maker) too long with no fluid in it. I wouldn't expect any issues applying a little common sense. I'll update this if it begins giving me problems, but at this point I think I'll get one for work too.

I love my new Nespresso machine. I did a lot of research in the different variations and settled on this as it checked more boxes on my wishlist than some of the others. I appreciate the various size coffee options this machine makes. It doesn’t do iced coffee which I’m okay with. It also doesn’t brew a carafe or the equivalent of a typical American sized travel mug which is a bit of a negative but not a deal breaker for me. The design of the machine is well thought out and offers a nice smallish footprint. I like that the water reservoir in the back has the ability to fold either left, right, or center giving better options on where it can be placed. I have been annoyed at the lid of the water reservoir as it is unnecessarily difficult to open so I added a small drawer knob to the lid (see photo). The machine is simple and sleek with a super clever lift function the the lid and only a single button needed to operate. There’s no maximum fill besides the physical capacity of the reservoir but be sure to keep at least a third of the tank filled with water so it doesn’t run dry when brewing. I do wish the small stand that your mug rests on was larger though! I have a double walled insulated glass mug and it hits the is die portion of the machine and the bottom edge of the mug rests on the edge of the tiny stand. It’s a bit inconvenient! With the vast selection of coffee options on the Nespresso site you’re sure to find blends to suit your style. Add a countertop milk frothier to the mix and you will save tons of money by not going to your local overpriced brew house. I absolutely love my machine! As I truly feel that user reviews are the best way to gauge a product before you buy, I hope you've found this review helpful. Cheers!

I liked the price and the thermal carafe. What I didn't like is cleanup required after every use. Per the instructions "Completely clean and dry all parts (grinder basket lid, grinder basket, filer basket cover, filter basket holder) after EVERY use". See photo. Also you need to wipe/clean the area in the coffee maker under the grinder basket. I'm returning the unit.

This is a super cute single cup pour over set. It’s borosilicate glass so it’s durable which makes it great for bringing along with you. If you’re a one cup of coffee type of person like me this is perfect. The extra glass tray to set the filter and glass funnel is a very nice touch. I’ll be using this in the mornings it’s a perfect size cup but I can see it good for people who are traveling and don’t want to drink hotel coffee or won’t have access to a coffee pot but still need a cup to start their day. Overall it’s awesome I do think if there was a coupon for this it would be better like 5-10 off since not everyone would be using it as a day to day item.

  • The coffee pot broke after a year of use.

I am very disappointed with this, which is my third Keurig, I have always been happy with the previous ones. This one punctures the pod in a way that causes the grounds to overflow throughout. Also, it does not deliver an accurate amount of water, sometimes less, sometimes more. I miss the water level guide that was in previous models.

We bought this for our office and it's perfect! The heating is beautiful. We coffee goblins so we usually reheat leftovers the next day and the warm function gets it piping hot! We were nervous cause ordered with minimal reviews but it was worth it.

  • Do not purchase this item!! I have now had two machines break back to back. Fortunately, the second machine broke just outside of the one year warranty, and I was able to use my extended warranty to get a replacement machine. If you are within the one year warranty window they make you ship the machine to them and it could take multiple weeks to be repaired. As this is something that you most likely use on a daily basis, this is Extremely inconvenient. I used to brag about how awesome this machine was, but now I completely regret my purchase! I will absolutely be pursuing a different espresso product.

First the pros: It is very easy to make drip coffee. You just add the water, beans, and pick your size of cup. It basically creates an Americano with an espresso like puck of coffee. The coffee has a little crema on the top which is nicer than almost all drip coffee machines that I have used but it isn't a real crema like you would have from an espresso machine Americano. You get options from 3 oz to 24 oz plus cooler brew for ice coffee and using pre-ground. I have tried a variety of drip coffee from the Technivorm, which in my opinion is overrated, to a basic cheap auto drip. The one that I tended to like the most is the Ninja Hot and Cold Brewed System. I like to just walk up, pick a size of coffee, and have it make it. The Ninja holds enough water for several cups of coffee and allows you to pick a cup of coffee, add filter, grounds, and done. The TrueBrew is even easier though since there is no filter and the water reservoir is large enough that you can get several cups of coffee without adding water. The coffee is better than the Ninja since it is more like an Americano taste than a drip coffee taste. Even the Techniovorm has a drip coffee taste but it is even more annoying because of the simplistic build, it will brew whatever amount of water is in the reservoir, which means you need to add water, filter, and coffee every time you use it. Overall, I do like the coffee better than most drip coffee machines that I have tried. Now the cons: It is making coffee similar to their auto espresso machine, which I have tried also. It creates an expresso puck which is dumped into the a bin behind the front of the machine. The bin is small so you need to pull the front off the machine often to dump it. Also, it rinses the mechanics similar to the auto espresso machine so uses more water for that process. No big deal since the water reservoir is large enough but the water bin inside to catch it is small so it fills up quickly. It also splashes water and coffee grounds all over the inside, and no matter how gently you pull the front off to empty them, coffee water will spill on your counter and, in my case, down the front of the cabinet, and on the floor. Every time you empty it, you will need to wipe up the mess on the inside of the machine, on your counter, the front of you cabinet, and off the floor. Very poor design on this part of it. The flap that you lower to put an espresso cup on is very flimsy and feels like it could break off without much effort, the lid to the water reservoir is kind of hard to get a hold of so it is easy to drop it into the reservoir, and the lid over the coffee beans has to fit just right to close properly and for some reason, it usually takes me a bit to get it on correctly. The 3 oz setting is espresso style but not a real espresso. It has a little crema but not much so if you want espresso with a nice crema, you will be disappointed. The temp coming out is about 180 degrees so lower than the suggested best extraction temp of 195 to 205. To use pre-ground coffee it is a bit of a process and the hole to dump it in is kind of small. You have to press start, size of cup, type of brew so you repeatedly press Type until it gets to the pre-ground selection, then press Brew, add the pre-ground coffee, and then press Brew again. Not hard but just a clumsy process. Also, even though the front looks like you could just press the coffee size, you can't. They are just lights. You need to press the Size or Type button repeatedly to scroll through them. Seems like that could have been done better for a $500 coffee machine. Overall impression: I am not sure if I will keep it or not. I may go back to the Ninja. I will admit it is nice to not deal with the filter or grinding separately. I have a separate Breville grinder so grinding and dumping into the Ninja isn't a huge hassle but it is nice to not do it. You do get a bit of flexibility with your brew from light to gold, and bold and it does stay at your previous setting so if you brew the same thing all the time, you just put your cup in there, hit power, and brew...done...unless you need to add more water. Some folks will love the convenience of this machine and will not be concerned about the mess but anyone who wants a real espresso or wants the perfect extraction temp, will be disappointed. I would take this over the Technivorm though.

  • Yes, a bit noisy, but who cares, leave the room. I like strong coffee so use 1 1/2 cups of dark roast ground coffee which is still below max fill line and set to bold with carafe filled to max 40 oz. with cold water. You must take care in assembling the machine. When adding coffee to the reusable filter I place a small shot glass over the top of the center post to prevent grounds from spilling through the holes or worse, plugging these holes as this will prevent it from working. Then make sure grounds are level and not piled up on one side as this can cause plugging and machine will stop working. When screwing the grounds container lid on the reusable filter make sure threads are straight and screw it all the way down (see photo). If you don't, it will not work or stop working after a couple minutes. In the next step when placing the resuable filter into the hopper, place your thumbs on the tabs on the top of the grounds container lid (see photo) and push down firmly to ensure it is fully seated. In the next step make sure the small tabs on the Hopper Lid are aligned with the slots on the top of the hopper and turn firmly about one inch to seat fully. If you can't get the lid on you failed to do the previous step correctly. Its a shame to see all the customers who returned what they thought were defective machines when the reality is they were not assembling the machine correctly.

Very simple design and very fast brewing.
