My only coffee brewer. Silicone plunger still in one piece. Need a cup at least once a day for my asthma and my eyelids. Worth the price imo
Annoying blue light !! Too bright days and nights !!! I had to instal a switch to stop it !!! But now I can't use the program mode !!
The product looks ok but it arrived used and dirty; it still had grounds in the diffuser. Even after hand washing (see picture) it still has grounds. I bought it for flavoring water and tea, not cold brew coffee. I will be returning it but I hate the delay and process.
The silver drip tray came a bit scratched out of the box. Everything is plastic and for $120 it seems kind of not made to last but is easy to use. I know Mr. Coffee is a trustable name brand. Its pretty easy to figure out how to use but when you pour the water in to make one cup and when it is done brewing and you go to pour another cup of water in, the steam and a little water sprays out at you and makes a lot of crackling noises which scares me but I know it's just the cool air or water hitting the hot steam or machine so it's nothing to worry about but the first time I used it I spilled my water all over it because it scared me when I was trying to pour the water in again right away without letting it cool first. It's like a single use and you add water every time cuz it'll brew out however much water you put in it and not leave any in there. You can pick whatever size, however many ounces you want but I'm not used to a machine like this. I'm not saying that it doesn't work right, I just didn't understand it til I used it. The coffee was strong cuz I hadn't used real coffee grounds in a long time, using K-Cups mostly at work and home, so this is different. It takes some getting used to for me but I do appreciate the reusable filter. I do like that it has a frother with it and it's pretty quick and easy for when I wake up and want to make a latte or coffee before I go to work. Excited about experimenting with the recipes.
Update, right after a month, looks like 2 cracks appeared on the glass jar. See photos for details. I didn't pour hot water to the jar nor in a dishwasher, only hand washed in tap water while using room temperature water to brew my coffee. It cracks from top of jar to the bottom. Slightly disappointed. It is a very simple cold brew coffee marker, a mason jar, a lid, a stainless steel strainer and a ring (or seal, thats what they called) I got a small one (32oz, without handle) and I used the Lavazza Crema E Gusto Dark Roast coffee bean. I am new to the cold brew world, and I dont want to spend too much money, this item is nothing fancy, just straight forward, grind your bean, add water and put into the fridge for 24 to 48 hours(some experts said you can leave it in room temperature, but it is summer, so I prefer it cold, but will try it otherwise). I suggest you open it couple times during the brewing process to stir your grinded beans, as they will float on top of the liquid. For about $20, it is as simple and as fool-proof as it can get, it is slightly taller than a soda can, and the diameter is about twice of the size of a soda can. It is quite simple to clean, after brewing, dump the coffee ground (mix it to your garden soil, your plants will thank you, make sure you spread the ground very thin) and shake under the faucet for less than a minute, and done. No moving parts, how easy is that. Love it and if you want to try a cold brew coffee maker or and "infuser" for tea or other beverages, you should give this a try.
This OXO pour over set up has been in use at my house for two years during the colder, hot coffee drinking months. It works great, and is superior to ordinary pour over funnels with its addition of a water chamber. I have found that it works best with a sturdy, wide bottomed mug. Even though I exclusively hand wash it, my partner has put it in the dishwasher a time or two. OXO says that it’s dishwasher safe, but the water chamber has sustained some small fissures. I would prefer that it was made of glass instead of plastic, especially since I have concerns about using such hot water in a plastic container. A ceramic base would also be preferable. It’s otherwise pretty perfect. I take it with me when I travel to avoid using those awful, wasteful coffee pod machines.
It’s extremely small, doesn’t make a full cup of coffee. More like an espresso machine If you ask me. The grounds end up all over the place, and it makes a mess!
They clearly don't design their products to last. They absolutely have no understanding of what testing and failure modes mean. Their marketing is disingenuous of the type of brand they are. It is not about the cost of the product which is similar to several other brands, is about the attitude when you ask for customer service. The product broke upon the first wash/first usage. The washer that holds in place the cup will break off leaving you with a broken product. Customer service will do nothing to help you and will not send you a replacement part or offer a exchange. I would never rely on this brand at all. CHEAP stuff.
This Keurig arrived my husband and I put it together it took quite a while it's very intricate we finally got it and we decided we're going to drink coffee well my husband doesn't really drink coffee and he had 3 cups in a row it is so good and I got the 40 PODS of coffee also. Having so much fun if you want good coffee take our advice this is great will enjoy it for days and months to come
I just received my Braun KF7070 BrewSense Drip Glass Coffeemaker, 12 Cup, Stainless Steel this afternoon. I was looking forward to using it but was very surprised to find how dirty it was. There were fingerprints all over it and it looked like it had been used and returned after use. I ran a carafe of vinegar through the machine and it came out brown like coffee had already been brewed in it. I was also very disappointed there was no light behind the clock so it's impossible to see unless you use a flashlight to read what it says. For the price they charge for this machine you would think there would be a lighted readout on the clock. I plan to keep the coffee maker but I would never recommend it to anyone I know and doubt I will ever buy another Braun product.
Got the 2 QT, BPA free model. Prior to purchasing this O had been using a mason jar which was a messy pain in the butt. Love this thing. Sometimes I heat up a cup and sometimes make iced brew depends on my mood but either way this brewer system makes it so easy to make your own cold brew. I never purchased cold brew before and now never will! One tip I can add is, hold the filter in and run the water inside it to saturate the coffee before filling up and putting on the cover. It ensures all the grounds get soaked. Highly recommend this!
The Base is not flat as it a bit curved. Also there is a lot of mold residuals
The product makes coffee well enough but that credit goes to the filters, my coffee itself and my method of pour over.. but the quality of this craft is very poor. They sent me one that had a dirty box with dust and dirt inside the box as well. The glass is wavy with flaws and not very thick (feels like it will break easily. The bamboo heat shield is cheap and has chips in it.. they even tried to dremel and grind a crack that was in the bamboo instead of just tossing it and putting on a new one.. for a reputable company you can tell they are penny pinchers. Which is ridiculous for a product they sell for 50 bucks but clearly costs them little to nothing to produce... Now I have to return the product to get a replacement and be weeks without coffee. Pretty ridiculous process. Sometimes online purchases can be too tedious. If I had bought this from a local store I'd already have a replacement and be enjoying coffee every day. Should've gone with the cheaper bodum or cosori.. or even the hario v60. All much cheaper and I imagine comparable in quality. Other than that the vessel itself is practically pointless. Doesn't even keep coffee hot unless you preheat it with scolding hot water
I was excited about this but when I opened it up the first time, smelly old water leaked out and then a used coffee capsule fell out. This is disgusting. Very annoyed because I wanted to take this on an upcoming trip. I have already processed a return and will update when I receive a (hopefully) new product, as ordered.
I love my coffee and I was much spending so much money at local coffee shops for cold brew. I decided to look into making it myself and found this amazing mason jar, cold brew pitcher. It could not be more simple to make and you have your very own cold brew, yummy, rich, and delicious coffee. I I highly recommend this product. I don’t know how I live this long without it.
