Leaks occasionally. Have to keep it in a pan. Makes a nice espresso.
This coffee maker was much smaller than I expected (not sure where I got my expectations, but there they were), as it only produces maybe 2 cups worth. For my needs it suits decently well, but it is really more of a personal machine than for groups. Operation is simple: you put some coarse grounds in the top, pour some water over it, and then set it aside for 12-24 hours. Then you set it on top of the little glass container and drain out the liquid. I used pre-ground coffee, so not at all coarsely ground as the instructions instructed. I compensated by adding more water. I was very slapdash about it, but it turned out pretty good (though very strong). I had to drink some of the chilled coffee before I could finish draining it from the machine.
Me encantó como cuela el café a mi gusto y el tamaño
coffeemakers.us.com should review this coffee pot for health safety standards. You can get 1st-degree or 2nd-degree burns dealing with this very cheap pile of junk. You can't take out the hot grounds. Sever design flaws. An 8-year-old boy in less than 1 minute can figure out `how to fix this flaw. You can't take the grounds container off its hinges to empty the grounds, you can't take the grounds out because there is no basket in the coffee grounds container. You have no protection in removing the hot coffee grounds. I got burnt. Now, look at the mess every time you remove the coffee grounds. Since you can't take off the container that holds the grounds by the hinges or by a coffee filter basket the hot coffee grounds will fall on your counter every time you make a stupid pot of coffee.
The coffee maker is slightly over 13 inches tall and not 12" as the description states. Still I I decided to keep and relocate my coffee bar area. The brewing quality is amazing compared to a traditional coffee maker, however the frother keeps putting out steamed water instead of milk. Sometimes I get foamed milk, most times just water. I'm disappointed for the price I paid and the fact that it's brand new I shouldn't have this issue.
All is made of plastic of very poor quality. I think the French press it’s going to damage very easily.
Rubber stopper is missing allowing water to flow before the pot is placed under!
Product box was wet, product had coffee stains on it and used coffee pod still in the machine. Wondering why it was returned the first time and why someone returned with coffee still in it.
I ended up purchasing all the Jetboil products and they work very well, compact, and lightweight. This item works great with the Jetboil Flash.
I love the size because the cup pictured is 12oz so l only drink one cup a day so it's perfect for my needs. I camp quite a bit and wanted something l could use with out electricity. If there's anything negative it would be pour slow if you don't it drops down the side. Other then that lm pleased and well worth the money invested. You might say l'm a happy camper.
The good- the drip coffee prude a good pot. It is narrower than my old Ninja coffee maker that’s lasted for eight years .The cup of espresso, I would rate 7 out of 10 for a pod. The bad- for this price point, it should’ve come with a built-in filter like my old pot did that cost half the price. The coffee maker is to tall the way the grounds go in to put coffee grounds in without pulling out the pot. This is a major design flaw in my opinion on Ninjas part. Also, the watercraft is a little awkward to get out if you don’t pull the unit away from the wall compared to my old model. The way the pod go in is odd. My first few try’s at an espresso were challenge because the pod kept falling through to the waste bin. I am Undecided to keep it or get a newer Version of the old model.
We gave this a one because the display function letters began to rub off almost immediately so we can see what to program. Other than that we are very happy. Can this be replaced???
Great coffee maker and gives exact same taste if I would have prepared it on stove. The only thing is that makes it ready to drink temperature and not too hot.
Great tasting coffee but the design is horrible. I would not buy again if I had to replace this coffee maker. It is a fantastic looking coffee maker. The coffee taste good, but probably related to the type of beans or ground coffee you use. I found that I cannot clean the thermal carafe. My hand does not fit into the top of the serving carafe because the design opening is so small. So, cleaning it is a REAL problem. Also, my biggest complaint the automatic grinder which I felt was a selling point when purchasing, is COMPLETELY wrong in its design. When the coffee brews, the grinder gets completely wet with condensation. When the grind is complete all the remnants of the bean grind are wet. Note, it does say to clean the grinder after every use. But I find the condensation is so bad that I don't even want to use the built-in grinder.
It is obvious that this is well made. The manual was written well and looked great. BUT there was a glaring mistake. There are 3 bags of different sizes of O-ring. 2 of them are labeled 1.1 and another 1.2. One of them is a supposes to be 1.0. Checked the manual and the o-rings are there labeled, nice photos in color. The color doesn’t agree with the size printed below the label. I tried to use the 22LR size on my model 41. It was very loose and needed o-rings. I tried every color and they made the size too big to fit I the barrel. I tried the 5.56 size and it was a perfect fit, go figure. I put batteries in the green laser, screwed the 5.56 into it. Problem. It would start with good light and quickly fade. I tried multiple battery packs. I so wanted this to be a good fit for me, but alas, not the case. Pity, because they spent some money to build this, but forgot to get someone that knows these things to proof read the manual at least.
