Contrary to the product listing (screenshot from coffeemakers.us.com app attached), this coffee maker is NOT auto-shut off, 2-hour or otherwise. Mine's on my counter right now, still on after 4 hours. I got this for my RV and I'm a forgetful person, so auto-shut off is an important feature that I specifically searched for in a coffee maker. Returns are super inconvenient for me, so I am very frustrated with this blatant false advertising.
I am disappointed with my first grind/brew coffeemaker experience. Some of the 'pros' with this machine are also its flaws: - Grinder is inside the basket filter- makes for a super-fresh grind, but also makes it impossible to use paper filters, and this goldtone filter is not terribly good. I wind up with more sediment than I've had with other goldtone filters. - Maybe I'm just getting old, but to me this pot has too many parrs and one big design flaw. Not only is there the carafe, grind basket and grind basket housing, there is also a basket cap that is attached, not to the basket, but to the lid of the machine. All parts get filthy daily and must be cleaned, and if I forget to take the small cap out of the dishwasher and reattach it to the lid, the coffee won't brew the next morning, even with basket, beans and water in place. There is also an open gap between the basket housing and the raised lip and cap where bean bits can drop from the dirty cap right into the water reservoir if you're not super careful.
This coffee machine is simple and gorgeous. I'm not mad at the chinky plastic bits, because the rest of the unit feels very well made (also, this is the kind of machine that can be modded). Highly recommend this coffee maker.
For the first time ever, I tried a cup of French Press coffee. It was amazing and I just had to purchase a 12oz. for myself. I purchased the Highwin Small Stainless Steel French Press, 12oz Dual-Filter Coffee Plunger through coffeemakers.us.com. I was so excited until..........I opened the box and found the top of the plunger handle BENT. (SEE ATTACHED PICTURE) I could tell that the box had been in someone else's hands, been opened and returned. WHY would coffeemakers.us.com put this back on whatever shelf they have and send it to someone else, ME! ALWAYS ME that gets the defective product! I'M TIRED OF IT! I am NOT thrilled about having to return this and wait for another. I've not used it as I got it yesterday (9-30-24). I should have known better! This is the 3rd defective product I've ordered and the country of origin — CHINA. I didn't check where it was coming from. So fed up and so disappointed!!!!!! Part of me wants to just keep it and a bigger part knows I need to return it but I'm just so exhausted from this happening too often. What would you do?
Dont buy the fancy models with the extra displays and bluetooth/wifi because it’s not worth it!! Myself and so many others have had to start using the Supreme Smart model without being able to see the screen that indicates strength and hotness as the screen has gone nearly totally blank. Works great otherwise, but waiting to see what occurs when its time for descaling. Again, DON’T get the fancy models as the screens all go bad after 1tor 2 years.
This frothing pitcher is made from stainless steel and has a nice weight to it. The handle is strongly welded to the cup and the markings on the inside allow you to measure your milk/cream before and after it's been frothed. It comes with a decorating stick that I might not use, but would be a good addition for folks who are more skilled than I am with froth decorating. I'm really just happy to have it for basic frothing of hot and cold beverages.
I used this coffee maker about two weeks and then it quit working! DO NOT buy this coffee maker!!
My first impression of this machine is it cannot be real. There is no way you can have enough psi to make espresso. Well, it does not but for camping, Rving, or any travelling events, this machine comes very close to making a quick espresso. When I first open the box, I can't figure out how to put the coffee in it. The instructions are not very clear, but with some thought and tinkering, I finally figured it out. Please take a look at my picture where I take apart most of the parts. They are not mean to be used together. Some parts are for using pod coffee. They have a big capsule coffee fit and a small capsule coffee fit. You use one or the other. I have no idea what is big capsule and what is small capsule. I will go buy some espresso capsule to try later. What I have tried was to use real coffee grind. There is another fit for using grinded coffee. So, there are a total of 3 different fits you can have on this little machine. You have to choose and assemble correctly. To make a hot double espresso from cold water will take about 5 minutes. There are 3 ways to make your coffee. First and second ways are to have the water jetted through your coffee either cold or hot. The third way is from cold water to hot coffee. The machine will heat up your water before jetting it to the coffee. So far, I only try out this method as I think this is the easiest to get a hot shot. The battery can only make 3 espressos from cold to hot. This is the short fall for the machine. I will suggest charging it immediately after used. The machine cannot be used while charging. The charging time feel a bit long to me too. I think from empty to full charge is about 3 hours or so. To be a bit picky, I notice some small plastic strings at the lid, as shown in the second picture. The main unit cannot be wash and there is no need to either. All the parts that can have coffee are washable and I just rinse them. The lid can be washed, and I would suggest one to occasional wash it to prevent mold from accumulating.
Got the legendary E01 code after it went bezerk on a normal brew cycle. Do NOT buy!!!!
I am now a “pour over coffee guy”. I put my coffee maker in the pantry. This cone is different in thatit is between #2 and #4 Melitta filter sizes. I couldn’t find my #2 filters but I made the #4 work by wetting the bottom of it just a bit. In this way it better fits in the cone. The hole in the bottom of the cone is also different as my other cones have two small holes in the bottom. This has one large hole about the size of a nickel. The coffee I made was excellent and I could detect no difference from my other cone. If you can live with the odd size then this is a good way to go.
I purchased this from Fellows direct. I purchased the individual pour over which was $69. I loved it while I had it for the month. It broke and I contacted customer service. They told me I have to purchased a brand new set. Nope, not letting another $69 go down the drain.
Used this coffee maker for the second time and noticed some cracks on the side wall. Should I be concerned with the same replacement item?? I expected more from a highly rated company.
I like that I don't have to make an entire pot and I can change my beverage choice to tea, coffee, or hot chocolate.
Overall, I love the concept and execution! I think this will be great for camping and using at my desk. The only problem is the tab that holds the retaining clip was broken off & rattling around inside the box. Even so, they immediately made it right and shipped a replacement, no problem. Very happy with the purchase!
All you have to do is inbox it, remove the packaging, wash the filter basket🧺, insert a paper filter, fill the water reservoir with spring water, close the top and turn on the machine and in about 10 minutes you have great coffee ☕ No more spending $2 for coffee at 7-11 or $4 at Panera.
