The Jewheg small French Press is just right for making one cup of coffee. The insulated carafe and lid keep the coffee piping hot for quite a while if you can't drink it immediately. I don't consider myself a coffee snob, but I roast and grind my own coffee and enjoy the flavor of coffee brewed in a French Press more than drip coffee. The main reason I got it was for travel. Since it is so tiny, I could throw it in a suitcase without taking up much room. However, it weighs 15.8 ounces (almost a pound). So, if I am taking a flight and watching my luggage weight carefully, that weight is a consideration. On the other hand, the weight of this little French Press is a testament to its sturdy construction. I have to say it: This French Press is so cute. And it works great. Also, I realized something after I got it. A problem I face at home is that I usually make a full carafe of coffee in my regular French Press and then use it for most of the day. But it loses its fresh flavor after about an hour. With the Jewheg French Press, every cup can be freshly brewed. This is a very nice little French Press.
Love it! I love the reusable filter that works great and the cleaning brush that comes with it works great! 32oz is a little small if you drink coffee every morning but I got it to take up less room in the fridge. Very easy to use and clean and a great deal on the lid!
I trust that it was a quality product and now I have to deal with this
The coffee making itself is just fine. The features on the coffeemakers.us.com description are incorrect, however. The comparison table (see photo) specifies a 2-hour warming period. This coffee maker does not actually have an automatic warmer shut-off. If I’d known that, I’d’ve purchased a different model. Of course, I threw away the box before I noticed the lack of an automatic shut-off, so now I can’t return it.
It is exactly as seen in the picture. I am cleaning up for the first use... working well so far~
I won’t lie taking the lid off the first time is a pain. Especially since it tells you how to remove it in the directions.. which is conveniently shipped inside of the container. You just twist it until the arrows are at the end of each corner and pull all the way. Overall steeped coffee well, and worked as stated. I love this and hope it lasts me a while. A good starter.
I bought the spout type in September 2023. At that time it was listed as 34 ounce. I found that 27 ounces would be a more honest description (see my first review below) . And behold, the seller actually changed the description to 27 ounces! So happy to report that the seller paid attention. It helps a lot when your buyers are not disappointed and get what you describe. Having said that, I have not raised the stars to 5 because I just broke it. The spout broke when it tipped in the sink. These are made of glass, and no matter how strong the glass, they are not "unbreakable" especially when the spout protrudes out. But, I have very much enjoyed using this maker and it is a terrific value. It is also packaged beautifully so it makes a great gift. I have re-ordered the model without the spout. I don't that it was available back in September. I like w/o spout better. Takes up less space and easier to store and also less apt to break! ******************* This is an early review, prior to actually using it. This carafe is adorable. Having said that, I dropped a star from the start because the stated 34 oz is deceptive. I got this one to replace a 6 cup Chemex which is described as a 30 ounce decanter. The Chemex bowl is much bigger than this one and yet the "unbreakable" manufacturer says it holds 34 ounces. The difference is that the Chemex 6 cup holds 30 ounces in the bowl of the decanter. I filled up the "unbreakable" using an 8 ounce measuring cup. I managed to pour in 4 cups and 2 additional ounces however the liquid goes high up in the neck and also fills up the spout and literally spills out. A fair description of this is carafe would state 27 ounces, because that is what the bowl holds without flooding the entire carafe.
I had my eye on this specific Keurig model for quite some time as I am a caffeine freak and love my lattes and cappuccinos. So, as soon as it went on sale, I snatched it up. I am so glad I did. I have had it for a couple months now, and I use it every single day for multiple drinks. I've made at least one latte or cappuccino every day, as well as regular cups of coffee. It is also extremely convenient for making a cup of hot tea. In a pinch, I've also used it to make a quick cup of noodles and instant hot cereal. Cleaning the steamer cup is super easy, and the water reservoir is big enough with a fully removable lid that also allows for easy cleaning. I cannot recommend it enough. Even at full price, it is well worth it, especially if you take into consideration how much you can save by making your latte at home.
Works great! No leaks, no odors, works well and looks great in our new coffee shop. Go ahead an order.
Several years ago I began investigating cold brew coffee as a way to make my morning latte with lower acid. I’m not a coffee connoisseur and drink only one cup of caffeine a day, so I didn’t want to invest too much in a fancy cold brew kit. I wasn’t even sure it would be worth the effort. I settled on a simple solution that involved a mason jar and a “nut milk bag” (a small cotton muslin bag) as a filter for the ground coffee. It has been working well. The OneDream Cold Brew Coffee Maker is a bit of an upgrade for me. The stainless steel filter is neater to use than the cotton sack, and easier to clean. The screw-on lid with the integrated handle makes it easier to manage the jar when pouring. The jar is a standard wide-mouth mason jar, so if you have another jar, you can maintain a supply of cold brew with the one filter. The OneDream kit lacks any instructions, so I’ll offer my “recipe” for anyone who is thinking about making their own cold brew coffee. Insert the filter in the clean, empty (32 oz.) jar. Pour one cup of COARSE ground coffee beans into the filter. Slowly pour about 3 cups of fresh, cold water over the grounds. [Optional] Stir gently (with a chop stick?) to make sure the grounds are completely wet. Put the lid on and let the concoction sit: ~12 hours outside the fridge OR ~18-24 hours in the fridge. When ready to use, extract the filter and grounds, and set the filter in a container where it can finish draining. (You’ll get maybe another ¼ cup.) This recipe makes a concentrate that you will want to dilute with water and/or milk to your taste. Add ice for a cold drink or microwave it for a hot drink.
I used to spend so much on Cold Brew, I saw a video about this gadget once and decided to five it a try. So far, I'm loving it. One jar last me a whole week!
2 Year Update: this is still going strong. We love this and now we can't imagine having to fill the coffee maker! Having this has allowed us to create a coffee nook out of a fairly narrow cabinet space when we remodeled our kitchen since we don't need frequent access to the back of the coffee maker anymore. Original review: Works great on our Ninja CP301 with a slight modification. There is a tab at the top of the reservoir that indicates the max water level that we needed to cut off in order for the float to completely rise. Not a ton of room to work with in the Ninja, but it is doable for sure, just need a little hacksaw! I'm including a couple of pics to show placement. We also taped down the lid with electrical tape as other reviews suggested. So happy that this works!!! We are not K cup people and I had only found one coffee maker that is designed for direct line water...but we love our Ninja - this is EXACTLY what we needed! We bought longer tubing since we wanted to keep our coffee maker where it is at and not move it next to our fridge. We luckily have an unfinished basement, so we teed off of the line to the fridge below deck and came up through the floor and through the cabinet. Even drilled a little hole in the granite countertop for a nice clean install. This kit is a winner!
Not usable. Came without a power cable so had to get one. Once I did that it can't brew properly. Used very coarse grounds and only about 1/4 of the reservoir actually brews and that is really light. Even on the strongest settings.
I'm not familiar with the brand name, but thought I would take a chance and I'm glad I did! I have tried a number of coffee makers that specialize in K-Cups, or all-in-one styles that can use K-Cup pods and this is my favorite so far. I like that it also comes with reusable baskets (filters) so I can grind my own coffee and adjust for size and strength. So far, I have only used K-Cups which are designed to be used with 8oz of water. I like that I can set the machine for 6, 8, or 10 oz water so I can make the coffee as strong or weak as I like. It can also do 12 or 14 oz for a travel mug, but you will probably want more grounds for the larger sizes, or brew 2 K-Cups separately and pour them into the travel mug. There is no lift for use with a standard size coffee mug, but I like that it fits my tall mugs (6") perfectly! Most travel mugs will not fit if they are more than 6.5" tall. The coffee is a perfect temperature. I warm my tall mug with warm water 1st, so it does not cool the coffee as it brews. My digital meat thermometer shows the coffee comes out at 170 so it's hot, but not quite scalding. I like that the water reservoir can be filled on the fly with the removable lid, or completely removed for cleaning. The touch sensitive buttons take a little getting used to if you are more familiar with push buttons, but they work fine, and the machine will remember my preferred size even after I un-plug it and plug it back in. I simply plug it in, turn it on, and touch brew. Fast and easy! In my 20's, I always had a pot on, and if it sits a while, it gets stronger and stale, if not burn tasting. I love that I can quickly make a fresh cup now at any time with this new machine! I also like the slim profile of this machine so it takes up less space on my kitchen counter!
Makes the best coffee. Easy to use. Makes pot quickly
