Very nice coffee maker with a different design. Water tank is easily removable to fill in the sink and easily placed back on machine with one hand. No spills as there is not a carafe that needs to be poured. Coffee stays fresh for much longer than traditional coffee makers. I like the machine but it does take a few more steps to prepare coffee verse traditional machines. front slides out and glass is removed. Then lid taken off that component to clean out old coffee. Great tasting coffee, love it after I got used to it.
I am a coffee enthusiast and have multiple coffee drippers. Some render great results while also being finicky to use. My favorites so far are the Kono and the origami. Both are faster drippers. In contrast, this dripper falls into the middle “speed” category being slower than my favorites, but faster than the kalita wave. In general, it is a more forgiving dripper and a fun one to use as it yields flavorful cups that have distinct notes with my desired degree of acidity. I like to play with my grind size and ratios. The design of the brewer is adorably cute and a joy to look at. Also, I like the added scoop (which I don’t use) that makes it accessible for those wanting to enter the dripper space (as they should)! The Verve team should be proud of this product and it’s a worthy investment into making a wonderful cup of coffee! (Another big plus is that it is easy to clean. Lastly, I use the Kalitta 185 filters, they fit nearly perfectly). I can see this making a great gift for the coffee lover in your life.
Love it! This is definitely a must have if you love coffee.
First off, I have been researching the best coffee maker out in the market for quite some time. I had a Keurig because it is fast for on the run but still need my coffee days. It was never strong enough so i would have another cup at work. My husband and I would prefer to have french pressed coffee every day as we do only on weekends becaus it takes time to prepare and we don’t have that kind of time on weekdays. So the search went on for that perfect cup of coffee for about 2 months. My research about 1 week ago ended with the OXO brand of pour iver coffee. It seemed to be the best choice with the reviews and all. Until this Cuisinart popped up. Cheaper, better reviews than OXO, better looking. Search over! Now that I have it, it stays clean, no spills, no splatter, quiet, easy to use, stylish in my kitchen counter and best of all, our coffee has never tasted so good. I am extremely happy with this purchase!
To say that we break a lot of glass coffee presses would be an understatement. I'm hoping for some durability with this large 32 oz coffee press! It arrived well packaged and protected, but this press also appears to have thicker glass than some of my previous presses. The stainless steel frame is also very durable. We've used it daily for a week, and so far, so good!
I have had this Keurig K-cup coffee maker for more than a year. I've made hundreds and hundreds of cups of coffee in it. Early on I took one previous reviewer's advice and waited until the water finished heating before I made my selection as to cup size, and with that one caveat, I have never had a problem with it. The machine works every time. As you can see from the picture, I filter my water with a PUR pitcher-type water filter, and probably because of that I have only gone through two of the Keurig filters. I use the Strong Brew feature all the time, and it really makes a difference. And I like the fact that you have four different cup sizes to choose from. The 52 oz. reservoir is plenty big enough for me, especially considering my PUR pitcher back-up! I used to use my own ground coffee put in a refillable K-cup housing and filter combo (the one I purchased apparently is not available anymore, but there are others like it). That worked fine, and it's an inexpensive way to go. But I hardly ever do that anymore since I stumbled on Intelligent Blends coffee. I particularly like their Maud's line for the combination of price and quality (look for them on sale, because they always have sales, and when they do they are about $.33/pod or lower). I've tried most of their varieties, depending upon what I feel like at the moment, and I can't say there's a bad one in the bunch. But the ones I like the best are the Maud's In The House and the Kona Lisa blends. I hardly ever go to Starbucks anymore. All in all, I am very happy with my purchase. I feel bad for the people who have had problems, and in some cases I wonder why that is. At any rate, I would recommend this coffee maker to anyone -- just keep in mind the caveat I mentioned above.
Very poor quality control. When I contacted their support people about the improperly sized wooden collar they argued with me insisting it was correct. I have a few of these, but this will be my last.
Had this product for less than a year and the handle has completely fallen off the pot...Tried to fix, but the metal part on the bottom seems to have come loose, so it will not stay attached. Manufacturer would not honor their one year warranty; saying I misused and abused the product...I do not even use this machine everyday, maybe once a week if that. save yourself the money and get a better machine that will last more than 1 year.
Holly cow, this is the best cup of coffee I have ever had! Went through 3 different ones before finding this one. The 5 cup makes about three mugs full. We LOVE IT. It brews fast in about 3-5 minutes. We are ordering an additional carafe for when we have guest and need more cups. This way we get to have the smaller machine on our counter.
I fell victim to the sexiness of this machine. The bronze color is so pretty, and fit perfectly into my kitchen design. The bronze color added to the cost, but I couldn’t resist the allure; it was love at first sight. I did read the reviews. Some were good and some were bad. Because I was in awe of the sleekness, and color, I attributed the bad reviews to people who “just didn’t know what they were doing”. The machine arrived in April. It was even prettier in person! I was ridiculously excited to wash it and get it set up. (Sadly, this was the highlight of my week). That first pot of coffee in the new machine was so good! Score! Then, the Keurig side. The first few times using it went well. Easy, clean, and easy to clean up. The only disappointment was that, as some reviews stated, the coffee dripped very sporadically which caused a lot of splashing. Drops of coffee were on the counter, the machine, the outside of the mug. Oh well, I decided I could live with that. After all-it was such a pretty appliance! Then, the first sign of my poor decision making came. A random Tuesday morning. While making one cup, on the Keurig side, grounds fell into the cup and got stuck inside the k-cup compartment. Okay, a mis-step. I assumed I just did something wrong. It couldn’t possibly be my beautiful new machine! Then it happened again. But worse. Grounds everywhere, coffee splashed everywhere. A k-cup wasted. Again. So, I cleaned up the mess and tried again. This time-no problems. My do-over cup of coffee was fine. This process of one good cup, one bad cup continued for a few months. Then it became one good cup, two bad cups. Finally, six months after buying the machine, I had to admit that my judgement was clouded. I allowed the prettyness to overrule my gut after reading reviews. I cleaned up so many messes of exploded grounds, splashed coffee, wasted k-cups and dirty dishes that I can’t possibly count them all. Today, I owe all previous reviewers an apology. I brushed off their negative reviews -warning me not to buy this product- by thinking they were just not doing something correctly. It turns out I was the one not doing something correctly. I wasn’t trusting their experiences. Just like a kid or teenager, I had to learn the lesson the hard way. So-I’m sorry random strangers who tried to prevent me from the horrors of this machine disguised as a beauty. I should’ve trusted you. To the other random strangers who’ve given this appliance a two-thumbs up - I’m very happy you’ve had good luck. The bottom line is - don’t trust beauty over brains, LOL. Save yourself the many troubles and do not buy this product. Cuisinart is usually a trusted brand (in my previous experiences), but this particular product did not hit the mark. In fact, the mark isn’t even in view. Just look at my photos to see that yes, I used the product correctly; yes, I’m an intelligent person; yet the appliance failed miserably. More than once. More than I can count. So, the hunt begins again for a 2 in 1 coffeemaker/single brew machine. Please, please trust my experience and don’t buy this product. Don’t regress to that teenager who “knew better” and did things anyway, just to learn the hard way. No one’s got time for that. Ha!!
Recently Won one of these from WholeLatteLove.com gotta say, I love this Gaggia Anima. Works great! Coffee tastes excellent, as good as kookaburra and Starbucks. Definitely read the manual and prime the machine first before using it. Or the machine will not function as designed. I did the cleaning cycle with tap water. The chlorine removes the gunk before first use so the water heats up fast to 170, then higher for nice and hot for espresso making. After the cleaning cycle which is how the machine is primed, I refill the tank with purified water. Turn off, unplug, plug back in and turn on machine. It is then ready to brew! Since advice .... Don't use flavored beans or oily dark beans. They will break the grinder. Be sure to adjust grinder setting for correct courseness or fineness of grind depending on what your brewing. During shipping the magnet broke off the lid. Seems this has happened to other people. I just taped it back on. Machine works perfectly! ☕😘
Very easy to use and clean. Love the cold coffee taste, mixed with my Carmel Protein drink!
Bought this to take to Vegas. Many rooms don’t have coffee makers and this was perfect. Sometimes even if rooms have coffee makers, you don’t wanna use them in the hotel. Fit like a glove in my carry-on suitcase. Shoe was for reference of the size of the maker.
I’m not sure if it’s a defective one but you have to run a sprayer of water to clean out where the Kcup goes because it’s not a great fit & leaks.
I really like this coffee machine. Water temp out of the are is 198º, right where it should be. The stainless steel carafe is great. After coffee is made I can take it to my desk and no more burnt tasting coffee from sitting on a hot plate. The smaller 8 cup size is perfect for me. Nothing complicated, just an on-off switch. Simple and easy to use. The coffee tastes so much better than what I was getting from the Bunn I was using, which rusted inside after 6 months. All I need to do now is tweak my bean grinder for that perfect cup. For a single person or a couple, I highly recommend this Moccamaster.
