After hours and hours of research I finally decided to go ahead and get a 'highly recommened' coffee maker and step away from Mr Coffee (which has been working just fine and still does). I watched all the UTubes, read all the data, and then spent $350 on this item. It was a joke. ALL of the water leaked out of the cone support arm befor it ever even made it to the brewing cone. All. Not a teeny little drip, all of it. Boy oh boy. This just falls in line with so very much of what I get from coffeemakers.us.com. "MOST" of the items I buy are damaged, faulty, or misrepresented. Hands - On buying is so way much more better! Anywayz, sending it back tomorrow, and I anticipate a lot of anguish in getting a refund, time will tell . . . Oh, and tonight I'm buying a coffee maker down at my local retailer. It won't be one of these over-rated pieces of junk.
This is a great coffee pot with one exception: The ability to fill the water reservoir. There are two contributing factors: 1) The reservoir is divided and 2) the lid doesn't open back far enough to add water from the bottom of the pot. When you have to tip the pot forward for water flow, the pot hits the lid and there's an unavoidable "splash" beyond the reservoir. It's not annoying enough to stop me from using the pot, but it is definitely annoying.
So after unboxing, I discovered that there were two pieces missing (the adapter for the capsule and the capsule lid). Odd, but ok. I go ahead and assemble the machine. I filled the water reservoir just shy of the max line and powered it on. The low water error message flashes on the front. Tried to power cycle. Tried to reseat the reservoir. Nothing got it working. Called tech support and they recommended doing a replacement. It was when I was reboxing the machine that I finally noticed that the outer box had a square cut out (see attached photo). I assume it's where the previous owner sent this machine back and they removed the shipping label and then turned around and sent it to me when I made the purchase. I'll be getting my replacement next week. If it's actually new and works as advertised, I'll update my review.
The taste of coffee is really good, and the Wonder Woman design is very nice :)
TIP: If you wake up to find that this thing has leaked all over your fridge or counter, don’t throw it out! The trick is not to screw it together all the way to the indicator line. Try screwing it half an inch short of the line and the leaking should stop. It’s a good size for one or two people. Following the recipe, my wife and I have enough concentrate for a few days of cold brew. It uses a lot of coffee beans, so we use cheap beans and we still enjoy the brew.
This is by far, the best cold brew machine at home for the price. I was skeptical with some of reviews that said it’s makes “light” coffee and tastes “different”. But let me tell you that for my experience with it, it’s excellent. I’m a coffee lover and this product makes good bold and strong cold brew and it tastes great. I’m not sure why some reviews mention that it’s weak. Maybe they didn’t follow the instructions how to use it correctly or maybe they use a wrong type of roast coffee. I use dark roast beans and fresh ground them before brewing and when brew in “extra bold” mode it’s produced a very bold and rich aroma coffee. Make sure you follow instructions to clean it before first brew. Try a different roast level and see which one works best for your taste. Totally recommend this product.
I could've settled for a plain-Jane coffeemaker (that would've arrived the next day), but I figured since this was going to sit on top of my kitchen counter 24/7, it might as well be pretty! So I waited the two weeks to get this color. And I'm glad I did! The attention to detail like the wood-look handle is very attractive and you probably won't be able to tell from the ad. I'm attaching a couple of pics so you can see better, as well as the top of the machine being brown (not black), at least for the green one. Not sure about the others. And while it definitely is pretty, it's more than that. The square shape of the machine makes it easy to clean, because there are no nooks and crannies that coffee grounds can get into, unlike the typical curvy coffee machines. Having the light, medium, dark options is not a gimmick. This machine really delivers a different-tasting cup of coffee depending on which option you choose. I tried the light and medium, and clearly prefer the light. So I didn't bother trying the dark setting. I also appreciate that the handle is open-ended so my arthritic fingers don't get caught as I pour the coffee. It is pricier than other $20 options, but I've had all of those for years and years, and decided to give myself, and my countertop, a treat this time. Completely happy with this purchase.
Very minimal assembly. Attaching the spear to the very little keg (picture is very misleading) upon hand tightening, the piece of junk broke. the threads? the o-rings? i don’t know what broke. Now it just leaks coffee all over, Cheap piece a junk isn’t even worth looking into, absolute cheaply made piece of junk. Picture shows a soda bottle for actual size reference. the nozzle is too big for the little piece of junk, off balance.
After a month after buying I have a white screen and my Keurig only works when it wants to and it makes me sad because I absolutely loved it when it worked. Will not purchase another :-/
they took care of everything, they were very helpful and I'm very happy with my new machine.. I'm very happy with all the products I have received.
Hotel instant coffee not for you? A quick visit to Tesco for double cream and Nespresso compatible pods and the Sobtoe Portable Espresso Maker saves the day … or morning. Highly recommended and at a price that beats the competition. Easy to use, solid construction and reliable and consistent operation.
This is the best coffee maker I have ever owned. From the versatile settings, to the large pot, to the warming mechanism. It works great, looks great, but most importantly the coffee tastes great. Pros: - Easy and versatile settings - Large quantity of coffee - Keeps coffee Warm - Time setting Cons: - Not ideal for small amounts of coffee - Pot is difficult to clean - Reusable filter can take time to clean Overall I would highly recommend this coffee maker. It’s not perfect but serves its purpose. The settings allow for the perfect brew of coffee and a large amount. We have used this to serve groups of people with ease!
Like everything about the coffee maker! But... On the base of the maker, front right side, there is a little button switch that indicates, by tiny blue light, if burner is on. However it is very difficult to see if light is on, unless you get up to it and bend down. Even if all the lights are off in the kitchen, the blue is not bright enough to be visible from 5 feet. So, we've burned a few pots overnight when there was just a little left in the pot. I guess we're just stupid, but it is aggravating. Bunn,..... make the blue light brighter! But good coffeemaker. This is like my 4th Bunn. First one I've had a complaint about. Love the new dripless spout😍
I love Chemex! I am trying to minimalize things in our kitchen counter and so I thought I would replace our electric coffee maker with chemex. I really love it!!!
