33 days after getting the coffee maker (missing the coffeemakers.us.com return period) our carafe (coffee pot) broke. I was holding it by the handle to pour coffee and the glass shattered where the handle is attached. I contacted mixspresso about this and the only response was they do not sell parts. It made coffee until this point just fine, but the buttons are difficult to press, I had to hold the backside of the coffee maker in order to press the buttons hard enough to turn them on.
Awesome experience using this cold brewer coffee maker. Great quality with perfect amount.
I debated between 4 and 5 stars. We use this as an urn to keep water hot on Saturday’s (Shabbos). It has not been leaking and has been keeping the water hot. That being said, my wife likes the water super super hot and you can’t get that with this model, hence why I had to give it 4 vs 5 stars. To provide comparisons, the water is much hotter than the Hamilton beach urn that is very popular but not as hot as the magic mill urn. The price was awesome. We will get another urn and keep this as a backup for events when we have a lot of people at them (if quarantine ever ends)
Pour over is my favorite way to drink coffee and this little pot is perfect for me. Great design, really nice filter that won’t need paper filter. The wooden stand brings it all together and looks really nice on my counter!
I love the Chemex carafe ,It makes great coffee and is attractive .I have the Chemex Ottomatic stand that disperses the water .its easy to use and adds to the appeal of the Chemex carafe.
This coffee maker is definitely small, which I was expecting. My photos include a quarter for size reference. It was well-protected in the box, which I appreciated. The manual contains some creative wording, but is mostly understandable. I would have preferred an exact number instead of being instructed to brew with plain water several times before use. I also had to guess from context what “keep the coffee maker is energized” means (I’m guessing it means keep it turned on if not serving coffee right away). The permanent filter seems kind of flimsy, and I don’t think it’s filtering as well as it could; I ordered one from another seller to replace it that hopefully will work better. I tried taking out the carafe mid-brew to see if it really does stop dripping. It basically does, but a few drips did get on the hot part below the carafe, and made kind of a frying noise, so I’m not planning on using that feature. This coffee maker only makes a few cups, so it really doesn’t take long to brew anyway. Water dripped down the back of the coffee maker when I opened the lid to add more water when I was running just water through the appliance. I don’t know if that would happen all the time, or only happened because I was running it multiple times in a row. In my experience, the coffee isn’t very hot, and is also a bit muddy-looking, like tiny grounds are getting through the filter. The coffee maker also smelled of heated plastic initially; that may reduce over time. But it does make coffee. You can put ground coffee and water in it, turn it on, and it will produce coffee that you can drink.
The travel mug that comes with it is very small. I have to brew twice to fill my Yeti mug that I take to work. Regular tall mugs don't fit in the brewing space. You have to use the mug they send. It does NOT use coffee pods. You measure in ground coffee. It isn't a bad coffee machine, I was just disappointed with the things about. I am sure the product description said all this but I missed it. So hopefully the repeat here will help someone.
it's easy to make the espresso, though the milk took a few tries to figure out we were able to get lots of froth. intuitive design and small footprint for the counter. it's a little loud at first, like it vibrates but it also has suction cups on the bottom so it isn't moving. makes an impressive crema, I would recommend this machine to anyone
It's absolutely perfect. My first keurig was one just like this. Worked beautiful. Being the person I am and after using it myself for a long time, I gave it to my grandson as he didn't have one. Then I bought a bigger keurig that had lots of added features. I used that one for a long time and it worked perfectly fine. Then after a year I'm thinking to myself, this is really big and I'm the only one who uses it and it takes up a lot of space on my tiny counter, SO I gave it to my granddaughter, who simply loves it because she LOVES coffee and was without a coffee pot. I then went back to this size, which performs as excepual as the bigger one and it fits much better on my tiny counter and I've spread the keurig way of brewing to two other people. No wait, forgot I bought one for my daughter as a housewarming present. 😀
Once I got the hang of it I really enjoy this especially making double shot lattes with my favorite Flavor creamer.. Wonderful I love it I recommend this !!
Love it - but the label ruins it. Manufacturing needs to fix this ASAP.
Great small compact K cup coffee machine. Low noise level. Easy to use and works great and fast. Reminds me of a hotel coffee maker. Very happy!
First of all I the letters in the front are faded , is missing the filter it basically looks used , no thank you I don’t recommend.
Great little coffee maker. Looks nice. Just ditch the little screen basket and use a cone. Works a lot faster that way and doesn't spill grounds into the coffee.
