  • Didn’t really scrutinize till now. Used a few times, then stuck it in cabinet. Took out this mrng, feels like a wax/plastic coating on inside lining. Took rubber seal off used a knife to get started near seam of inside lining then ripped it out. Still felt like wax coating residue. Poured rubbing alcohol on paper towel wiped down really good inside & out. Did 2nd time w/ diff paper towel & alcohol, let dry & rinsed really good. Did rubber seal also w/ rubbing alcohol then reapplied. I’d opt for putting coffee grinds & water in uncoated pot w/ lid on. Bring to a simmering boil, turn heat off & leave sit 10min + desired strength. Then pour through wire, get bulk of grinds out & then pour thru very thin uncoated wire mesh or cotton clothe to get tiny particles out. Can place material for 2nd strain over mason jar opening, then screw metal ring overtop that & pour into desired container. For length of time it takes to use pour over, with the coated liner inside, better off figuring out another way. May take couple extra steps, but you’ll be left w/ a lot of saved time & quality strong coffee :) Took awhile to really review this. That’s my opinion about it. Enjoy! Did 5 ⭐️ Maybe more ppl will see that way. W/ effort it could be 5 stars. Not sure I’d bother w/ it even after all I did. Glass jar is nice & cork top.

After spending a $100 a pop for residential Bunn coffee pots I figured I'd step up to commercial grade. The residential grade pots seemed to only last a couple of years before they started to leak. Well after going through 3 residential pots I could've bought one of these. The construction is great, and I doubt this will leak any time soon plus I can replace any components that may go out. The only complaint I have is it doesn't come with the decanter; they can supply a pitcher but not a pot? Make sure you have adequate room before you buy because it's higher than your regular coffee maker.

This Bonavita was easy to set up, easy to use, beautiful in my kitchen and WOW-what a great cup of coffee. I was hesitant to buy it because of some of the reviews. If you follow the manual’s instructions it pours flawlessly. The brew basket after brewing is easy to store aside. My pot poured empty. This coffeemaker performed flawlessly. It would be nice to have a timer, but it takes 3 1/2 min to brew 5 cups—definitely not a dealbreaker as this is by far the best cup of coffee I have ever had. Delicious. And I own a Jura E8 SuperAutomatics, a Bialetti, a Stove-top percolator and have had a MoccaMaster. This baby beats them all!! Small footprint that fits on my countertop easily. This is nice as I’m the only coffee drinker in the house. Coffee drinker all my life since I was 5. At 71 this is it❤️❤️

This coffee maker looks nice and matches my stainless kitchen quite well but it's poorly designed and quite a pain to use. First off, the area where you have to pour the water in is so small it's nearly impossible to do it without spilling it down the outside or it spills into the basket area which then leaks down onto the heating pad. The second problem I have is the heating pad has already started to rust after two weeks use. (It's either rust or the coating they applied to it is wearing off, or both. It's hard to tell.) You have to make sure you dry off any water that dripped down onto the pad and the bottom of the pot itself before you start brewing. Other than that it works fine, it makes a pot of coffee pretty quick but I'll be looking for a better designed unit next time. I've added two photos, one shows how small the area you're expected to pour the water into is, the second is the rust/stain on the heating pad.

  • This little k cup machine works great. It has one function button. It has light capacity for holding water, which is fine because you have to stop the flow of hot water yourself. So either you put the exact amount of water you're going to use or you have to monitor it to stop it so it doesn't overflow. The water heats up in a minute or two (depending on how much water you put in it) and it gets to a brewing temperature. Easy to use and the perfect size for small spaces.

  • The Espresso machine is handy and great for coffee lovers on the go. First the packaging of the machine is presentable, well-packaged and sturdy and it arrived without any damages. I think it would make a great gifts for coffee lovers. I unpacked machine and cleaned it for the first use. The process was quick and the instructions manual was clear and easy to follow. I was able to follow through and made a great cup of espresso without any problems. I opted for using the nespresso pod since I'd some in hands. The pod was fitted perfectly on the capsule chamber. Next, I added the cold water in the water tank. The process of heating up the water was quick and it took me about 3min. After heating up which indicated was 4 lights then it went straight to brew the coffee. The coffee came out awesome just like the espresso if I were to use a nespresso machine. Finally, the clean up was easy too. Just basic soap and water at the end of the day. I would definitely recommend this product to coffee lovers on the go. It would save me some money and time to get a cup of joe from the overpriced coffee shop.

  • I had a small 5-Cup Black & Decker coffee pot would keep my coffee nice & hot all day, but, because I recently remodeled my kitchen, I decided to get something a little more sophisticated. Well, this item is very nice to look at, easy to operate, and it is also easy to clean but I think I would've faired better with my old coffe pot and a small Cappuccino & Latte maker such as a Breville.

  • I've owned this product for about a week and a half purchased it after watching lots of review videos online. Really wanted the Cardona but it's just too pricey for me at this time. After doing some research I figured out that this machine the Anima and the Cardona basically have the same Brew group. This is mostly an entry level espresso machine one touch and you have expresso it grinds and it brews fast, adjustable strength and adjustable temperature. So far I'm very happy with this and I'm just very concerned that I might not go back to the coffee shop again! this machine makes it so easy to go in these stores that sell coffee beans and pick up a new blend a new flavor just to take it home and try it out it's kind of addicting to be honest with you but it's still a lot less expensive than any pod-based machine plus well the grounds are recyclable. I did buy the extended warranty as well which I think is a good move. I don't think you can go wrong on this machine for the price again I would have liked the more expensive version, the Cardona, because it has one touch settings for coffee drinks like Americano which I usually drink they even higher versions of this one and the Cardona have one touch settings for frothing milk and making coffee so you don't have to do anything manually except for touch a button they're a lot more expensive but if I could have afforded them I would have gotten it it's that good! The picture that I have put in this review is of a cappuccino that I made and drank while I was writing this and it tasted so delicious and I'm sitting here looking at it and it still got froth!!

When I found this coffee maker, I was excited at the prospect of a good German engineered coffee maker, perhaps one that would last for 5+ years while making a strong cup of coffee. The coffee maker hasn't held it's end of the bargain up. PROs(?): 1. Easy to program the clock 2. Offers three temperatures for the carafe 3. Offers a programmed start (or did) 4. Somewhat simplified cleaning procedure (that appears to have broken the coffee maker) with indicator light for when cleanings should be done 5. Offers a filter compartment that is easy to change (and that water gets around generally negating it's utility) 6. Offers two strengths (cannot tell the difference) 7. Comes with gold filter (that we don't use because paper filters are healthier, but to each their own) CONs: 1. The keys are printed in ink that runs off over time making any programming based on your memory of what they used to say 2. Programmed start no longer functional after 2 years 3. Cleaning procedure requires user to press clean button then brew button (why add a step!? Why not.just press the clean button?) 4. Cleaning procedure with Braun branded cleaning agent caused coffee maker to go into E01 error 5. Steam not well sealed causing moisture buildup in and around keys (and electronic components that obviously weren't meant to get moist) From the start I wasn't thrilled with the amount of moisture buildup around the keys and digital display. This seems like a design flaw that other coffee makers have been able to avoid. Just over a year into ownership I was running the cleaning program after looking up how to do it again. Before it had ended, the coffee maker went into a E01 code screen. This meant that the coffee maker would neither finish the cleaning cycle nor brew coffee. I emptied out the coffee maker and let it dry for a couple days and plugged it back in and it worked again. At this point the brew timer, key and program key had both rubbed off making it impossible to know what they were for without this prior knowledge. I have limited the number of cleans I do on the coffee maker. I recently did clean it again resulting in another E01 code and once again had two empty the coffee maker and dry it out for a couple of days. My wife has repeatedly mocked me now for purchasing a "fancy" coffee maker that needs to regularly be serviced while her father's 20-year-old $20 coffee maker is still running strong. Irritatingly she has a point. While this coffee maker is pretty when new, it's failings make it not worth purchasing. I have to assume the moisture issue and the key's propensity to rub off applies to all of the Braun coffee makers in this series.

Received a broken item. No water coming out. Yes i removed the seal from the reservoir. It ruined my morning. What a waste of time.

  • I have only used this for 3 days and it will be going back. The single cup coffee does not have much flavor. It took 20 mins to brew 12 cups in the carafe and when I opened the area with the grounds, I have a horrendous mess. Not worth the money.

  • I don’t normally write reviews. As an overall product design, I like it, and it works well, however, there is a problem with the silk screening on the glass which overtime gets wiped away. The manufacturer of this item needs to use better silk screening methods that are reliable because I literally had to use a Sharpie on the left-hand side of the graphics that shows how many scoops of coffee are required. On the right hand side, which shows the milliliter contents is now starting to wipe away as well.

  • I love this little coffee maker, it doesn’t take up alotta space, its easy to use and clean. I love the ease of the disposable filter. It brews pretty quickly within 3-4 minutes. You can also use it to make tea, instant soups and oatmeal as well w just making hot water.

Use it almost every single day!! Absolutely one of the best purchases I have made

Nice item but works no differently than less expensive machines. Of note, Bodum USA customer service is non-existent, until you file multiple complaints. I’ll never purchase another item from Bodum due to the unacceptable quality of their USA customer service.
