For a$100 + coffee pot , it should have an auto shut off or at least a bigger light when its on. See photo. Button light is hard.

I have an update to add to my previous review. It’s been one year since Braun sent me a new coffee maker. The little tab on the filter basket that snaps into place, broke again. We are still making coffee, but the filter basket sits just above where it’s supposed to stop in the place. It’s a thin cheap piece of plastic. I highly recommend that you do not buy this coffee maker. I purchased this based on the reviews and was excited to receive it. We use a Kirkland(Costco) dark roast decaf coffee already ground in the can. Just started using the coffeemaker within the last month and when we make a full pot(12 cups) with 12 scoops of coffee, the grounds overflow and end up in the bottom of the carafe. If you make only 10 cups of coffee we don't get as many grounds but still get some. The directions say you are able to add up to 15 scoops of coffee to the filter. I can't imagine that would work, you would have a mess. We have been using a paper filter because the gold filter that comes with it lets a lot of sediment get into the carafe. Otherwise I do like being able to adjust the temperature of the warming plate and select the strength of the coffee. Setting the timer for auto on was a bit confusing. I think my next coffeemaker might be a non-cone type filter unit to see if it has been water flow through the filter. I don't think I would purchase this unit again. I am very disappointed. As of today, November 29, 2022 the letters and numbers on the buttons are starting to wear off. Another update this morning January 18, 2023, the coating on the warming plate is peeling off. well, today is February 2, 2023. I just got home after work and I’m setting up the coffee maker in the morning and I noticed that the filter basket is not sitting right. So I take it out and look at it and the little plastic piece that snaps in place is broken. It’s barely hanging on. Also the brew pump does not shut off at the end of the cycle and continues to run. The guarantee is for three years so I called it in and the person on the other end of the phone was very helpful and is sending me a replacement. Please don’t buy this coffee maker it’s all plastic junk.

  • I'm very satisfied with the product. I ordered filters not realizing this came where they reusable filter, which is really handy!

This seller is top notch. I am a coffee snob and I was searching for a versatile coffee maker/k pod friendly machine for a quite some time. To say that I was nervous purchasing a refreshed/refurbished item is putting it mildly. But the item arrived on time and in excellent condition. Not a scratch on it. Not a blemish. Just beautiful. It was never used and I was blown away. Just spectacular. My family and I have been using it daily for a month now, and it checks all the boxes; mom's fresh ground fine expresso roast, dads over ice pods, the 20+’somethings tea pods, and the teens organic pods and keeps chugging along beautifully day after day. Now a bit of advice, that has also been mentioned by others, you “must” clear out the pod needles to keep them from clogging. Or you may have a mess on your hands the next time you brew a pod. But to be fair, my family forgets occasionally and we haven’t had any disasters (except that one time). Pros: versatile well performing machine and it keeps a pot warm for up to four hours. Gives you the option to select bold brew. The water reservoir for the pod side can make up to three 10oz cups a day. Cons: the reservoir for the coffee maker is situated toward the back of the machine and is quite narrow so you have to be careful when adding water. Remembering to clear out the pod needles daily to avoid a disaster. But, regardless i’d still purchase it. I just wish I had done so sooner

  • I bought this for camping. I have quite a few coffee drippers: a Chemex, a glass V60, a ceramic V60, a stainless steel V60 with fine mesh (so you're not supposed to need a filter). They all work great except for that last one (which is horrible - it gets clogged after every use no matter the grind and no matter how well you clean it). But, all of those are too bulky for camping, so I wanted to try this one out. And I've got to say, it's perfect. It's light, it's compact, and it does the job well. I even use the same 02 V60 filters that I use for everything else. Also, I never brew just one cup at a time (my wife and I drink at least a cup and a half each), meaning when I make coffee with this thing I'm making a full pot. That's right, it can handle large batches so long as you are careful (it'll drip out the side a bit at first if you don't start slow. I know it's just a simply formed piece of stainless steel, but it's design is perfect and it's quality is good. And, it's become a huge improvement to our camping gear. Oh, and it doesn't slip off the jar, or mug, or whatever. I think that's due to the 3-leg support design, rather than only having two supports, like I've seen on other models (where there were complaints of it slipping off the cup).

Easy to use but the filter area shifts every time I try to grab the coffee pot, so drippage occurs. If it sits for more than 30 minutes the coffee begins to taste like plastic.

The machine itself is sturdy and consistent. I was surprised at how little it put in the cup for a latte and ended up using the “foam” button after the cup was made. After removing the lever, there is usually water sitting at the top of the cup so make sure not to spill it. My biggest complaint is the noise. It is very loud when working. We all have to stop talking during the brew cycle so we don’t yell. Overall it’s decent and I will continue to use it but I don’t think it’d worth $200.

  • Me gustó mucho. Hace lo que promete. Pensé que el hielo se iba a derretir todo y quedar el vaso caliente pero sorprendentemente queda frío y da espacio para agregar cremas, le hes o saborizantes a tu café.

I’ve had nothing, but great experiences from ninja and shark products, but this coffee maker (CFN601) has failed twice already. The first time it was some electronic issue where the whole machine would reset and won’t brew any coffee after about 5 minutes of being plugged in. Thankfully, ninja sent a warranty replacement, but that replacement didn’t last long either. About 8 months in the Nespresso pod side stopped working again. Not sure if it’s a misalignment or what, but the machine stopped putting holes on the front side of the pods, so now it can’t brew. I’ve had nespresso machines for well over 4 years and they are working good as new. I’ve had shark and ninja machines that are also just as old and they are working just as well as if they were new. This however is the exception. I do not recommend it, but something else.

I was turned on to mini-brewers for loose leaf teas when I got my first Adagio Teas 16 oz. ingenuiTEA. So convenient! The BonJour Smart Brewer follows in a similar tradition with its own little twist. Instead of automatically dispensing when placed on a mug or tea cup, there is a small button that you need to press to release the liquid from the brewer through the filter and into your cup. This is great if you want to brew loose leaf tea for one or two drinkers. The Smart Brewer is easy to rinse and clean and air dry for the next use. I've yet to try it with coffee, but the next time I get a thicker grind, I just might do so. It is recommended to use a single brewer for either coffee or tea. If you plan on doing both, it may be best to have one dedicated to each. The Smart Brewer from BonJour is a well-made product that makes prepping loose leaf tea a no-hassle process. ~ Kort
