Sent me someone else’s USED keurig with water and coffee grounds inside and selling it as brand new!!
Was looking for a mess-free single serve and I could not be happier with this! Self grinds, self contained, easy to clean great coffee! Love that you can adjust the size of the default cups. Also love the ease of cleaning up the grounds (they dispense into a tray). If there’s one negative it’s just the water reservoir is a tad small and when I go to refill it, I have to move the whole machine to get it out of the back (because I put the machine under cabinets that sit a bit low). But it’s totally manageable. Way cleaner than my previous “pod” machine that I would have ground into individual pods, then have to clean them out. So happy with this purchase.
Was exactly as described. Great packaging, shipped with protection in mind. Awesome quality. Was even better than my expectations! For anyone wondering about the size, I took a picture next to a standard bottle of wine and a tall coffee cup, to better provide a visual on the size. It does not fill up a tall coffee cup; but rather fills it to about 3/4 full. This is the size to get if you want just a small cup of coffee and no more! It ended up being smaller than I expected, but only because I did not pay enough attention to the description. I kept it anyway because it is so darn cute and there are days when I just want a small up of coffee and no more.
After just buying this item a week ago and using it a hand full of times. I managed to crack the carafe while hand drying the pot. The pot looks nice and thick when viewing, but upon touching you realize it is just a larger rolled bead around the top edge. Mind you not any coffee pot will work either, needs to be a specific height for the lid to engage the dispenser and also a specific width to fit on the non stick heating pad. After spending quite some time searching my conclusion is only Hamiltonbeach sells them and they no longer stock the item.... So my advice would be to stay away from this coffee maker, yes the price makes it very attractive but you could end up like me with a 20 dollar paper weight.
Great product, makes delicious Turkish coffee! Recommended
I love this little machine! My husband refuses to use it because it will not accommodate his favorite tall travel mug. We now have “his” and “hers” coffee makers. This unit is VERY compact and takes up minimal counter space. My favorite feature is the ability to change out the coffee carriers giving it the capability to use different types of pods. I wish it came with a storage pouch for the extra parts but I was able to get my own. The motor is a little bit noisy, but it heats the water up quick and brews a flavorful cup. Coffee comes out hot but is not scorching hot. I also like the timer feature and the suction cups on the bottom that keep it from slipping around. Seems sturdy and is easy to clean. Water tank holds enough for several cups and does not leak. Overall, this machine has some nice features, functions well and gives good results.
Just tried out my new coffeemaker from Braun and my filter clogged on the very first brew. LAME!!! I was using pre-packaged ground coffee (Peet's) bought from store. I realize if ground is too fine then filter will clog but this should not be happening with standard store bought ground coffee.
Do I love my Keurig? Loaded question. The touch screen has a major glitch. I’m fairly certain thru using it for some time that when moisture builds up under the screen that the display shorts out somehow. Generally if I leave the top open when it does this it will straighten itself out after drying. But with that being said it doesn’t always work and you’re shooting at the touch screen blindly. Will I stick with Keurig? Probably. But beware the touch screen.
I'm new to the Pod coffee rage. I wanted something that I could use my favorite grounds in easily. This fits the bill. Down the road I may try Pods, but it doesn't seem likely. I like my Maxwell House coffee grounds. The machine is much simpler to use and especially to clean than the other most popular brand that all my friends have. This machine is quiet and efficient. I just love it! Hamilton Beach has made great products for many years. I'm a big fan.
Loved this coffee maker at first but after 2 weeks it started leaking all around the top and making a mess. Had to return it.
Good quality looking, Sturdy, Shiny Stainless Steel, Nice Wood Handle, smooth plunging, Cool Design. I simply love it. Comes with mesh replacement.
Our Breville k-cup coffee maker finally wore out. It worked great, was made well and lasted for several years, but it was a little noisy so we were looking forward to a new and improved coffee maker. Breville discontinued their k-cup coffee makers, however this Cuisinart model was strikingly similar looking with a larger water reservoir. In fact, it looks almost like a replacement model. So it was an easy choice. Functionally, this Cuisinart coffee maker does a lot of things right. Controls are intuitive and very similar to the old Breville. The large 72-oz reservoir, and fast, relatively quiet coffee production are all nice improvements over our old Breville maker. Build-wise, compared to the older Breville, which was wrapped in stainless steel and looked great on the counter with all stainless appliances, this Cuisinart is a much cheaper package. It’s virtually all plastic, except for the stainless steel drip tray. The worst may be the faux chrome plastic coffee pod lid, which you touch every time you use the maker. As the photo shows, you’ll see every finger print smudge after every use. This is after our first morning’s use. Shouldn’t have to wipe down an appliance after every use, so low scores for excessive cleaning required. Either Cuisinart designers only tested this maker with gloves on or they’re just not in touch with how their appliances are handled.
I followed the directions and found myself adjusting my times. Begin roast on medium. Stopped the roast at 16.5 minutes for this Mexican bean.. Turned out perfectly!
I love it! It's easy to use and takes up a small amount of space! However, I like a lot of coffee so the 2 serving selection is really 1 serving for me, but I'm okay with that! I am also a low-carber and tried carb master milk and it frothed it with no problem! No need for Starbucks lattes any more! Love it!!
The Cuisinart SOHO 5-Cup Coffee Maker brews better-tasting coffee because of built-in water filtration. Its take-apart design is similar to coffee makers in hotels, and allows you to deconstruct the water tank and filter basket to clean them thoroughly. The heating cycle and flow are brisk, and the brewed coffee tastes noticeably less bitter because of the water filtration. Scan the QR code on the instruction pamphlet to read the full user guide, which tells you to run a cycle with water and flush the charcoal filter packet separately before brewing coffee the first time, and to change the charcoal packet every 60 days. A fatal flaw in the design is lack of an off switch. When you plug in the device, the indicator light flashes rapidly. When you press the brew/cancel button, the brewing cycle starts and the light stays on continuously. After brewing, the coffee maker enters Keep Warm mode (indicator light flashes again) and automatically shuts off after 30 minutes. The user guide claims that pressing the brew/cancel button will shut off the Keep Warm mode and heating plate, but that doesn’t work on my device. The only way to shut off the Keep Warm mode is to unplug my device. After my morning coffee, I use my coffee maker to heat up one mug of water for herbal tea every few hours while working from home. With the Cuisinart coffee maker, I either have to waste electricity with unnecessary Keep Warm modes or cause needless wear and tear of the electrical outlet by plugging/unplugging several times a day for years. Hard to believe Cuisinart disregarded the importance of an on/off switch. They misjudged the customer base for 5-cup coffee makers – single people who want to brew 1 or 2 cups at a time without harming the environment, not families or office groups who keep a full pot of coffee on the burner for extended periods. I’m giving the device 4 stars because of better tasting coffee, but when it wears out, I’ll return to a brand that turns off on command instead wasting electricity.
