It brewed good coffee and I liked the pour which could be done easily without spill. BUT The device quit brewing after 11 months. Error Code E01. After further research I find that this is not an uncommon issue. Dealt with support who have offered to replace this under warranty with a CHEAPER model. I refused and asked for my money back or another model which is currently even in price with the one I had. They accepted and I am waiting on the delivery. I got lucky in that this broke one month before the warranty expires. I have always been partial to Braun but since a 3-year-old beard trimmer of theirs cut out on me recently as well I will need to reevaluate my loyalty to that brand. My seven-year-old shaver still works well. Quality appears to have gone down, maybe because they moved their manufacturing to China? The photo is that of the cut cord they asked me to send them as proof that the device has been disabled. I am happy with their support but make sure to not accept a cheaper model as a replacement.
I was intrigued to try this being that it's dual purpose with the pods or ground coffee. My husband is the only one in the house who drinks coffee so the single-serve works well for us. However his single-serve is probably a tad bigger than some others. So the 14 oz water well could be a little bigger... after all the removable base for the mug to sit on makes this accommodate a travel mug that oftentimes would hold a 20 oz (or bigger) mug. That being said, it brews pretty fast so you just have to wait a minute and refill the water well to do another batch - like 6 oz to make your 20 oz or whatever. That's really my only gripe. Other than that - we really like this. I prep the coffee at night, so I just push the appropriate button (ground/pods) in the morning. Brews faster than the traditional single-serve coffee maker we were previously using (that only accommodated grounds) and being able to use pods is a bonus as my husband likes the holiday flavors for a couple weeks in December etc. Would recommend!
The WACACO Cuppamoka por over system is a great insulated cup for camping, traveling keeping at office, or literally on the go! The set comes with everything you need (minus the coffee) to make a wonderful flavor packed morning cup of joe! It keeps your coffee hot for hours so there is no rush in enjoying every sip. The set includes 10 filters, the pour over dripper, leak proof lid, the scooper, the cup itself, and a lid. Definitely recommend for traveling and it’s a great gift for coffee lovers on the go!
Just the right size for my trailer. Very easy to clean
Update: 2 months in and still loving it! Update #2: On month 6 and it has gone out on me. I will have to buy a new coffee machine now. I absolutely love this! And for $16 and some change? The quality is really nice for the price. It is a lot sturdier then I thought it would be and the best part about it, the cord is so long! I hate short cords on coffee makers. It's pretty small compared to my last one yet holds both a short and longer mug. So ideal! Makes a really nice fresh tasting coffee. I was shocked by how fast it made my coffee! I recommend running the first time with water to get rid of that first time taste that many coffee makers have at first. I also love how much room it gives to put water in, you could do a pretty big cup in one brewing. Cons - You have to remember to turn the coffee maker off, but it has a light so you will remember. The little handle that is attached to where you put the coffee grounds is just a tad cheap feeling but the rest of it is super nice feeling.
Very cute But cheaply made Very hard to push down .
A great percolator that requires no coffee filter! It was hard to find good unbleached filters and I didn’t care for filters anyway. When I got the presto it never would work without filters. And even with filters, there were always some grounds. The presto also has a hard to clean pour spout. The farberware can be cleaned effortlessly in every nook and cranny! And the basket has such a good design that no filters are needed and no grounds in the coffee! Great coffee flavor too.
We've never used a French press, so we thought we'd try it. I'll be honest. It looks a little cheap, but it works great! There is a fine mesh over the press to keep the coffee grounds out of your coffee. The only reason this is getting 4 stars instead of 5 is because it comes with no instructions at all. I don't want to have to search the web for instructions or go back to the listing to make sure it's dishwasher safe. I still recommend it, because we've made some great coffee with it. For the price especially, it can't be beat.
This perculator makes perfect perky coffee BUT I have now noticed there is this black smudge on the inside after making a pot each time and frankly now I am afraid to use it. You can see from the picture it wipes out fairly easy with a wet paper cloth (not 100% but most can be removed) but only returns next time I use it. Has anyone else had this happen? I believe it’s some sort of metal oxidation vs. motor grease but I can’t say 100% SCARY!
I've been using Mr. Coffee since it was, about 45 or more years ago. Used to be made right here in Cleveland Ohio USA. It was revolutionary at the time, very hot water over coffee grounds, dripped into a serving pot. The hot water design is what it was all about. The standard model I bought, which is basically like the original design, has no timers and other bells. You can't go wrong with this coffee maker. OK, it's not a perfect world and in this case the number of cups capacity markings are barely readable but an easy fix with a Sharpe marker writing the cups number and drawing a line for level indication does the job. I know this is long write for a simple coffee maker but we go back a long time, Mr. Coffee and me. A FLAVOR TIP: Try using distilled water instead of tap or bottled, the very best cup is the result, and............you'll never have to clean your coffee maker, and you even can use 1/3 less coffer grounds. What a deal. Enjoy and share the story.
This model the company boast of its simplicity.. that it only makes a great cup by properly drenching the grounds with water at the perfect temperature and the time of emertion of the coarsely grounded beans...notice that I said drenched, not drowned. Ha ha ha! This coffee maker and its manufacturer have made me an 'at home sipper' and over the 50 years of its existence they have become the 'Go To' guys for home and light commercial brewing. No small achievement And I cannot forget their first spokesperson, baseball legend Joe DiMaggio. His being married to Marilyn Monroe and his display of their relationship past divorce and even death..his leaving a rose yearly on her BIRTHDAY and providing past his own death the practice continued. How romantic, huh.
I read reviews on coffee machines and we selected this Cuisinart DCC-1850 with thermal carafe (don't have to worry about breaking a glass decanter, & the thermal carafe is heavy duty & keeps the coffee hot!). The 1-4 cup feature is nice as we don't need to brew a full pot usually. But it's nice to have the 12-cup option when we have family or friends over. Machine is easy to use, just run it thru a cycle of water before you start brewing coffee. Comes with Gold tone filter & a couple paper filters if you prefer that. Also comes with a charcoal water filter (1), so if you are using tap water and you live in Flint Michigan or L A., you will need to buy more charcoal filters. We use bottled water so no need to use the charcoal filter. You can program this coffee maker to brew at a certain time, and it also has a BOLD button if you like stronger tasting coffee. So if you want a well-made, dependable machine (3 year warranty) that is simple to use, & reasonably priced, look no further!
Amazing. Love this Keurig. I had the K 65 Special Edition my son gave me this one for christmas. Absolutely amazing. Easy to use top of the line touch screen. I make regular coffee with the k cup he bought me separate. I just put it where the regular kcup goes. Dont have to take the middle part out like the other keurig. Coffee taste delicious. Im so glad he got this one for me . Would recommend it.
I will update this review when it's appropriate, as I haven't put it through all the cycles before writing this review. But let's talk about what hasn't been said...The 1st thing that stuck out to me was the misleading measurement. I wanted to get this upgrade my previous 10-cup Ninja to a 12 cup. This actually was a downgrade, as the water reservoir and the carafe only fits 8 cups to the max line... So to say it's 4 more cups than it actually is, I think was very misleading and I would have thought twice about purchasing based on that alone. I wouldn't have bought this if it was advertised as 8 cups. The picture is my carafe from my 10 cup Ninja to the right of this carafe. The right one is actually a little taller and fatter at the bottom and it's 10 cups... So there is no way this is a 12 cup carafe when I literally measured at it.
The hole on the filter cover top is broken. It was disappointing that it was broken when I got it. At first I didnt notice it but as soon as I used it for the first time, I saw it then compared it to my old filter cover top (I kept the old one after the glass broke due to an accident after 10 years). I still love Bodum but just disappointed that it was like this.
