I actually got a refurbished machine and couldn’t be happier!! It does exactly what it says. I have tried all the features and loved every one. One thing tho - I think it states to add too much coffee. I cut back on that and am very satisfied. It’s not too large and cumbersome for my coffee bar. I love that it has 4 functions and a frother for cold or hot milk. It takes a few minutes for the milk to froth but that seems natural as the milk is pretty much ice cold when it starts. Great value I’ve attached a picture of iced coffee yum !!
Since we got an induction stove, we can boil water in under a minute so wanted to get away from the plastic "pods". Looked at many pour over makers and french presses and picked this one for style and size. It's wonderful! Perfect for two cups of great coffee. The reusable filter is the best I've ever seen. No fine coffee sediment at end of cup. All stainless metal cleans easily and looks nice on the counter. All quality products and not a single drip or dribble when pouring! I'm going to gift this to my coffee snob kids!
Love this machine. Hopefully, these are the missing details you need - I was concerned about the answers to these questions, but, with the exception of the small water tank, I am very, very happy Disclaimer: I only wanted a machine that made coffee without the waste of pods, not espresso. 1. Height: Yes, at 12.4 inches in height, it will probably fit under your kitchen cabinets. However, the absolute minimum you’ll need is just over 20 inches (and you’ll have to be extremely dexterous). Ideally you’d want 22 inches or more, because you will need to take the water tank out often (see pics). So either you need a spot with no cabinets, or, as another reviewer pointed out, you can buy the “Nifty medium appliance rolling tray”. This device allows you to slide the unit out very easily (by pressing down the button of the tray) to refill the water tank (which you will need to do often if you are buying this for “large coffee”). The nifty’s button gets covered by the drip tray of the Tchibo: voila! If you’re overly concerned with looks, then this tray may not be for you, but i definitely lean towards being an aesthete, and it looks fine to me (though i have just ordered the pure black one as the silver of the tray vs the chrome of the Tchibo is a bit bothersome!). I would not recommend buying this machine if you’re going to be bothered by the looks of the nifty tray AND you have to have it under a cabinet because, well, see #3. See photos for tank extraction and nifty appliance tray 2. Coffee size. I like my coffee black and want it to fill a regular mug, so I was wondering whether 8oz was enough liquid. At the end of the day, the size is just fine for a regular mug - I don’t feel as though I’m being short-changed 3. Water tank. This is laughably small and the most problematic issue. As above, I only use this machine for 8oz coffees. You could probably make three 8oz cups on one tank IF you make them all in a row. If you don’t, then the machine will send some water through for a self-clean after it has shut off after a few minutes. In this case, you can only make two 8oz cups before refilling, and, as others have pointed out, the machine will just stop midway. Why they include an optional expansion compartment for more coffee beans when the water tank makes less than 3 cups is one of life’s mysteries. For me, neither 1, nor 3, are problems. If you are ok with the looks of the nifty rolling tray (and presumably there are better lookers out there too), and you only make a couple of cups a day, then it is no problem to slide out the unit nightly to refill the water tank (obviously, if you’re an espresso drinker then the water will last a lot longer). What does the coffee taste like? It’s absolutely brilliant. Foam, and everything. All-in-all there are a few foibles, but as I wrote at the start, I am very, very happy!
Another great product from Ninja. Several things I loved even before having the coffee. One is the pull out drawer like receptacle for the coffee grounds, which means it fits comfortably under my kitchen shelf. Another is the almost tray like setting of the coffee pot. it just looks really nice. A third advantage is the fold down tray for making one cup of coffee. The water is easily refilled, and my coffee this morning was delicious. It was very easy to set up and use.
This coffee maker is awesome. I like that it has different options of how you want to make your coffee since there are different coffee drinkers in my home. You want you coffee hot or iced, you got it. I love that I can just brew one cup at a time for the freshest coffee and there is a cup holder so you can brew straight into your favorite mug. You have multiple guest or coffee drinkers, this coffee maker can take care of that too. You can do as little as a cup to a full carafe. This coffee maker also has a timer so your coffee can be ready when you are. It also comes with a little filter for the water, which I felt like it was a nice touch and doesn't interfere with the flavor of your coffee. I highly recommend this coffee maker to anyone.
Left. Star Bucks iced coffee $5.98 at Aldis. Right. Star Bucks iced coffee a lot less at home.
This makes about 2 cups for one person, I’d say. This is perfect for a single person like me, and the double glass wall keeps the coffee warmer longer - thought not by too much. I really like the double glass wall - it’s definitely an upgrade from my previous french press, even if it is capable of holding slightly less. I will say, there’s not much resistance when pressing down? Not sure if that’s up to my grind size and should be doing anything differently, but just something I noticed. I really love the aesthetics of it, too. Much cleaner looking on my countertop; simple and effortless. I appreciate the use of stainless steel and straightforward product material listing.
The top reasons I bought one: small footprint; perfect for the weekends; on-board cord storage; easy use; machine minds it’s own energy use; no waste with reusable filter; immediate reservoir draining (no storage). I’m a home Keurig hold out, but a seasoned user managing a commercial unit in the office. I only drink coffee at home on the weekends, so it never really made sense to have one. I’ve had a trusty little Mr. Coffee 4-cupper for nearly 20 years, but lately the hot plate seems to cook my coffee unless I drink every drop within 5 minutes of brewing; usually I had to throw out the second cup and re-brew. Then I saw this little unit in a colleagues’ new office space - hello! It doesn’t take up a lot of space on my apartment kitchen counter (tart warmer for scale), and I’m able to push the cord back into the unit when not in use. Since it’s literally a single-use appliance from start to finish, water doesn’t sit in a reservoir for days when I’m not using it; it has a water level right in the reservoir to guide you to your desired cup size. There isn’t a need for the unit to always be connected to power, and it shuts itself off after 90 seconds. Just make sure the water you use is filtered (which is stated numerous times in the unit’s user guide), since the unit doesn’t appear to be equipped with its own filter like the large machines, so straight tap water might cause scale issues more quickly, and be harder to clean. Since most people have a filter water pitcher if no other filtered means are available, this shouldn’t be too hard a guideline to follow.
The coffee machine is functional, but a major issue arises from water leaking at the back. The container holding the water tends to unseal from the machine, resulting in leakage. It lacks a clip to securely hold it in place. Consequently, the container gradually moves up and pops out, causing leaks. I suggest the company re-engineer the product to ensure proper sealing of the water container, preventing any leaks. I had to use a rubber band to secure the water container and prevent it from leaking.
Attention hardcore coffee drinkers: start with this machine, then experiment with beans and grinding. Once you get that dialed-in, this maker becomes your best friend (for us, that’s 72 grams of Brazilian — ground medium). This Bunn commercial coffee maker has remained an amazing purchase. We aren’t precious snobs (maybe a little) but boy are we particular about our morning coffee being consistent. We also drink lattes in the afternoon (using a different machine, obviously), and when I look back at all of the espresso makers and grinders we’ve gone through (three KitchenAids, some Brevilles, etc.) the Bunn becomes an absolute bargain. Also, once you get spoiled by the instant brew time using any other type of coffee maker (and there are some great ones out there) feels like an eternity. ———————— Previous review: I am on my 6th Bunn (love the results, but the consumer models never last more than a year for us). This machine is as good as they say, but there are a few things you must know before buying this monster: It DOES NOT come with the carafe (coffee pot). Be sure and order one. It does come with a water pitcher. It DOES get quite hot on the exterior for long periods of time. I raised a cabinet just to make room for this and I wish I had given it more than 1" of clearance. It DOES emit a fairly strong odor. This is from the heating element inside the unit. It's sort of a plastic-y "something is burning smell". It DOES take up a ton of room. Allow AT LEAST 18" of clearance and know that it needs 18" of countertop depth. Again, it stays pretty hot, so it wouldn't be a good idea to wedge it into a space where it can't breathe. Knowing the outrageous size of this commercial unit, we surmised that many people get the box delivered, open it up, realize it's too much for them, and send t back unused. So we chose an coffeemakers.us.com Warehouse Deal (used). The unit we received was indeed unused and we saved a significant amount of money.
I love coffee esprecially espresso. I have many coffee brewers but kompresso is my favorite. Aeropress was my ultimate coffee gear till I got my first kompresso 3 years ago. I used it almost everyday till I lost the cup few days back. Got my second kompresso and it still makes perfect espresso with decent crema. I can't say I made the perfect espresso from the first try, but was able to make great espresso after few shots. It is super light and easy to carry. Love it!
It’s easy to use and clean. But the flavor of the coffee is not so good. It broke after 3 months of use for no reason! Not recommended!!
I selected the Horavie Single Serve Coffee Maker because I was wanting a coffee maker that would work with K Cup pods and Ground Coffee. This one does both and takes up very little counter space! I simply fill up my mug and pour it into the water well. I either fill the filter adapter with my favorite ground coffee or choose to use a K cup pod and hit brew! It instantly brews a delicious, hot cup of coffee that fits, perfectly, in my coffee mug!
Make sure and read the instructions. The filter holder needs to be rotated until it clicks or it won’t stay up. I didn’t put as much coffee in as the instructions recommended, but it tasted good to me. The lid seals well the rubber stopper was easy to open and close. The cup keeps the coffee hot, so take care when you take that first sip. I have no complaints about this coffee maker/cup.
I have the Keurig 2.0 K250 in Orange. It goes great in my office at work because my walls are a lighter orange color. It is the perfect size for me. I love how quickly it makes the drinks. I had a few questions when I first got it and the customer service has been fantastic. I also purchased the pod holder and Ice Tea mug. Thanks Keurig for the free pods for this review.
