My class at school bought this so we could use it in our class cafe to sell coffee to the other teachers. Coffee tasted fine but about 20 minutes into the first brew it started to leak coffee fro underneath the handle.
I bought this thing because it has the least amount of plastic touching the coffee possible. Six months in, it's been fantastic. USING A STEEL FUNNEL If you want to go plastic free, you're going to have to use a steel funnel. There is a steel funnel made for this exact machine. If you go that route you'll also need to get the tip kit, which is usually sold separately. Per the parts catalog for this model you need: 20216.0000 FUNNEL 01031.0000 TIP KIT Without the tip kit the coffee goes through the funnel too fast. The tip kit restores the proper flow. The only reason I can assume the tip kit is not included is that different model coffee makers must flow differently. I've included a few screen grabs of the catalog so you can see for yourself. Also, the steel funnel is way easy to clean, since the grate the coffee sits on is removable. GRIND If you buy pre ground coffee, this pot will make acceptable pots of coffee. What it really likes is a MEDIUM-FINE grind. The finer the grind, the quicker the coffee extracts. In the case of this coffee pot, it takes 2:45 seconds for all the water to run from the tank to the funnel. This means that medium or course grinds are not going to extract all the way, which can leave the coffee with a slightly sour or low flavor taste. VERDICT This is the best drip coffee maker I’ve ever used in terms of both taste and speed. Newbies be warned, you have about 1 second from when you finish pouring to when it starts coming out the funnel. Also, it takes up a ton of counter space. My wife thinks it’s ugly, but so am I and she got used to me. Highly recommended!
First, it's cheap. This is sufficient for one or two people. The white ones need to be cleaned carefully, including the strainer. Besides, coffee is made quickly. In a word, it is a good and inexpensive product.
As an avid cold brew drinker, sometimes I just want a hot cuppa. Enter the VVGCS Collapsible Travel Pour Over Coffee Dripper. Easy to use...just open and set it on top of your favorite mug or even a jar. The base covers from pretty small to over-sized. Put in your grounds and pour hot water over the grounds. Just like other pour over strainers. The 'brew' drain time will depend on your grounds. Naturally if your grounds are very fine, it may take a bit longer to drain. Mine drained in less than a minute. After pouring the water, I set the whole thing in the microwave...NOT TO HEAT... but to keep the water hot. That way, I went about my business and came back to a great cup of hot coffee in a few minutes. Less than 5 to settle. The coffee tasted like expected and there was very little residue at the bottom. A bit. But not much. Easy to use. Easy to clean. Compact and ready to store or carry with you. Another user suggested taking to hotel/motel. Excellent idea since you may not want to trust the coffee makers in the room! Ew. Just nuke the water, pour and enjoy! Be sure to measure the amount your cup holds before pouring, as you may not be able to see inside. A bit pricey, imo. But a useful purchase and great gift idea for travelers.
Update on my first review. I received this pot with a 2 inch crack on the lid, preventing the lid from snapping onto the pot properly. coffeemakers.us.com sent a replacement in a few days & I am very happy with this cold brew pot!!! I definitely recommend it to everyone who loves cold brew coffee!
I know this is a 2 cup but I still used 4 cup filters quite happily, so no need to get extra filters. As far as functionality is concerned, yeah, it works well as it should, and looks awesome compared to my other V60 cones. They also supplied a spoon. Now I don't know if this was deliberate or not, but the fact that the spoon has holes in makes it great for stirring because it helps prevent "splash over" when stirring vigorously. This cone is solid and has hefty weight, but I would have liked to see a handle on the back as its irregular shape means you have to be confident and careful when picking it up.
Hi! Bought my coffee machine Came w/ no measuring scoop/spoon No ninja box And it’s holding all my water in my coffee filter not giving me all my coffee.. :( But yeah that’s my review….. Might need to buy another coffee machine w/a different buyer:(
Makes great tea don't get me wrong but after a little over a month and about 8-10 pitchers of tea the resettable limit switch, which is the power button failed. Part is PCC PBR 380. Ordered a new switch, very cheaply made I ordered an LG OEM limit with the correct rating. But the extended warranty it's 6.99 versus a 17.00 quality replacement . Also make sure you have thermal compound for mounting of the new one
I purchased it and had to send it back. I don't know why they keep listing it as a 25 cup maker, it's not. I had to send it back and couldn't order a new one until it was returned. I don't know WHY they keep listing it at a 25 cup maker. Very frustrating. I thought I could save a few bucks. I bet it got sent as the wrong item in the first place and people keep sending it back and it gets into the "system' again...
Todo perfecto buenos materiales, conserva muy bien la temperatura del líquido, Muy buen producto.
Absolutely love it!
This may be my favorite kitchen gadget ever!!! A couple days after I bought this and a kettle, we got an ice storm here in Oregon and ended up losing power for 7 days. THANKFULLY we have natural gas for our cooking and hot water, so we were at least able to light the cooktop to boil water to make coffee in our brand new French press!! This baby got a lot of use in those 7 days. We still use it weekly and on weekends, but still use the kuerig on most work mornings. It’s been easy to keep clean and easy to use. I may end up getting a bigger one.
Great color! Super cute! The angle to add water is a little challenging but workable. The light goes on and goes off when you turn it on and when it shuts down, but it would be helpful to have some sort of alert but not a dealbreaker for me. Coffee turns out great, and I like the “extra strong” button feature, but my main focus for this coffee pot was size, triangular filter (much better for only making 2-4 cups), and of course the color, and for those reasons it would be 5 stars. Only deducted a star due to my notes above, but I do recommend this coffee maker a lot! :-)
Chose this percolator after comparing with many others on coffeemakers.us.com. Reviews I read of other brands and sizes spoke of parts breaking off, the units failing, or poor build quality. I have this for approximately 4 months now and I still enjoy having a hot cup of great tasting coffee. Has consistently worked without issue. The build quality is solid, the cover fits securely and the brew time is reasonable. Combined with a paper filter, there are no grounds in my cup. This model is small, but I think it’s great for one person. Cleaning is easy.
OK was cleaning my old Keurig, you know the one that made a lot of noise when the water went into the back tank. The big bulky old first design Keurig that I’ve had for eight years. Love this new one , it was time for upgrade and boy is this upgraded. There is no noise. It’s so thin works amazingly. Haven’t had a cuppa coffee out of it. That’ll be tomorrow morning, but I can’t wait! The new jet design should be wonderful. Just saying I should’ve done this years ago.
