Overall it's good for cold brew. One thing that seems defective is the wall of the opening of the hopper. (Shown in the pictures) Doesn't affect the function but I just don't like such defective news. I am ordering one more to make enough cold brewed coffee for my family,, and sending this back to get a replacement.

This is my 3. Coffee maker, but first time I have Beko brand. I am glad I chose this one. Great, easy-to-use, quick, delicious 👍

Good product but after one year the glass pitcher broke from washing it.

One button perfect Turkish Coffee brewing. I really liked it.

Pot pours nicely , unlike my previous one which could not be poured from without drips. However the basket is a permanent filter. For some reason the grounds go over the basket and into the plastic filter holder , around the rim and sometimes in the pot , even into the water reservoir. I would prefer a regular basket that uses paper filters that can be lifted out and disposed of. This is a mess to clean up after every pot.

The filter is very flimsy and cheap. After a few months my grounds started leaking through. Must have come loose around the bottom of the filter. I used coarse ground beans. It requires being shook every few hours to brew correctly.

  • This has to be one of my favorite finds on coffeemakers.us.com! Perfect for one person for coffee or tea! Comes packaged nicely in a box and perfect for a gift! I plan to order more for holiday gifts. It’s so nice and an amazing price! Cant wait to make my morning coffee!

Not even a week after purchasing this the screen has gone on the fritz.

  • This machine is suitable for both weekday rush and weekend relaxation. I make hot coffee and put it in my large-size Hydro Flask to bring to work every weekday. For that purpose, I prepare the machine the night before and set the timer for the next morning. I make a full carafe for weekdays. On weekends, I enjoy my coffee by the cup or in a single travel mug. This machine works very well for my lifestyle. The machine itself looks stylish and is super intuitive and easy to use. It comes with a reusable filter. However, I found that the coffee came out too muddy with the reusable filter, so I stopped using it. Though it doesn't warrant deducting a star, one thing that really bugs me about this machine is the pot. It's really hard to clean by hand. The mouth is so small that even though I don't have particularly big hands, they can't fit through it to clean inside. I have to buy a bottle cleaner for it. It's not a big deal, but I think it's worth mentioning. I've included a few pictures that show the dimensions of cups and mugs that can fit in this machine just in case you want to see if your favorite cups and mugs can fit in it. Other than that, I love this machine. I hope you find it helpful. Cheers.

I like it, BUT, one month after receiving, part of the print on the two silver buttons was half gone, and by two months, there was no printing on the buttons at all. Just seems very odd to me.

  • I'm surprised no-one has addressed a design issue that makes the Highwin difficult to clean properly. Specifically: the fact that, in addition to the screw-off bottom to release the plunger assembly for cleaning the parts separately (good), the Highwin has a screw-off top at the other end that releases the lid (bad). Having screw tops at both ends makes it hard to keep a purchase on either end, particularly when everything is wet because you're in the middle of washing it. And of course it's the top end that wants to come off first, leaving you to struggle with a thin metal plunger that's hard to get a grip on while you try to release the bottom part. I had to enlist my husband's help to do that because I simply didn't have the patience or the strength in my hands to manage it (whereas with other French Presses I have owned this has never been a problem because the tops didn't screw off). He had to use rubber gloves to get the necessary traction. I write this on Day One. I will reassemble the parts so that it's not quite so tight on the bottom, and hope that I don't continue to do battle with the plunger again tomorrow. I'm generally loath to send things back – I'm not terribly fussy and can adapt to minor inconveniences – but this design flaw just might drive me to it. I did so want a metal French Press after breaking the glass ones, but this nuisance issue just might be a deal-breaker. I'll report back in a few days. Maybe the solution would be to glue the top part in place – but one shouldn't have to resort to such a fix on a brand-new product. UPDATE: Unscrewing the bottom part for cleaning every day has a way of loosening the screw at the top and once again I am struggling to get the bottom off because I have no purchase on top. After using the Highwin for a week, I am returning it. And by the way, if the fact that "three cup" French Presses only hold 12 ounces of liquid is a problem for you, the Highwin is definitely not the product you want. The Highwin is even smaller than the glass ones that claim this capacity. If you actually put 12 ounces of water in, it comes nearly to the top. Adding the coffee grounds plus the spoon to stir everything will definitely displace their weight and you will have a mess on your hands when you put the plunger in (see photos of the Highwin filled with 12 oz of water, and the two French presses side-by-side for size comparison). At least the other brands allow room to maneuver. The Highwin will yield 1.25 cups, no more.

  • Do you enjoy being woken up by the world’s loudest coffee maker? Do you have so many paper towels that you are finding ways to use them all up like wiping up coffee drips EVERY TIME you pour a cup of coffee? Do you like the idea of coffee grounds floating around in the pot, making your morning cup of joe a crunchy delight? Then this may be the pot for you, but not me. I hate it. It’s so loud that it wakes me up FROM UPSTAIRS. It sounds like water is dripping out of the pot and onto the hot plate making loud sizzling, popping sounds. The coffee pot itself seems to be designed to spill. I’m a grown adult and I promise you I have poured many a cup of coffee without spilling a drop. To even have a chance of pouring without spilling from this pot you have to raise the pot at least 6 inches above your cup and slightly raise the coffee pot lid. I think maybe if you spin 3 times, kiss your fingers, and shout a positive affirmation into the universe, maybe you would have even better odds of not spilling your coffee. Unfortunately I was not able to keep experimenting with spill-less coffee pouring techniques because yesterday the dam coffee maker broke while we were cleaning out the grounds. Speaking of the grounds… they always end up floating around the pot of coffee!! I don’t use more grounds than the average person (3 scoops for a full pot) and yet they always end up in the pot and therefore in my cup. Why?!! Did they literally design this to be the worse coffee maker ever?! Was this the plan?!! My mil bought us this coffee maker because ours didn’t have the ability to auto make coffee in the morning. Honestly I’m fairly happy that the coffeemakers.us.com basics coffee maker broke last night. The pause and pour part decided it had paused long enough and shot apart across the kitchen. We cannot even find one of the pieces. Making coffee without that part made it spray coffee down the sides of the pot, sizzling and smoking all the way. Thank goodness I didn’t get rid of my tried, true, and trusty simply perfect coffee pot that has lasted 3 years. I am finally enjoying my morning joe without extra cleanup time again. And look, I even had enough time this morning to write this long review about how much I hate the coffeemakers.us.com basics coffee pot 😂 So yeah, 0/10 do not recommend this coffee pot. The auto maker part does not make it worth it.

As a coffee lover who enjoys both home brewing and outdoor adventures, the Bodum coffee press has become a favorite maker for me. Its compact size and straightforward design make brewing effortless whether I'm at home or on the go. The rich and flavorful coffee it produces never disappoints. Occasionally I have broken the glass, but it’s inexpensive to replace.

This replaced an older Technivorm 8 cup that I bought used many years ago. It, like the one it replaced, makes delicious hot coffee fast. However, it runs even quieter and the updated stainless steel carafe keeps coffee hot even longer. It’s well built with no built-in digital timer. A cheap analog, digital or smart plug solves that. It’s durable but also serviceable for those who worry about longevity and throwaway gadgets that end up in a landfill.
