We LOVE this coffee maker. It is beautiful and feels very expensive. We upgraded from a Mr. Coffee brand so we're definitely pleased with our purchase. Everything arrived in perfect condition. The coffee is piping hot and tastes gourmet. The color of the coffee is even darker too. Not watered down tasting or looking. The settings work flawlessly. The copper color is to die for and so unique! We have only had this coffee maker for a week but if we have any issues in the future I'll update my review.
Haven’t used it yet, but it seems to be good quality and of course the looks couldn’t be better!
I’ve been brewing coffee for over 30 years. I used to work in the business. I prefer a simple pour over drip. This filter is garbage. Poor workmanship throughout. I didn’t expect much for $20 but a filter is a filter, right? Well, this particular one barely lets any liquid through no matter what grind do you have. Super coarse still super slow. This is completely unusable garbage. The carafe is nice in the silicone wrap is great. I will use my old crappy filter with paper filters which does a fine job.
I love French Presses - what I don't like about them is cleaning them - the ground get everywhere and it is just a mess. Then I came across this one - with a coffee grounds catcher at the bottom - and I tried to give it a shot. After my second pot, I took the other ones to GoodWill. A couple of other users have mentioned some difficulty with the grounds - here are some hints: 1. Ground ya own coffee :) I go to Trader Joes and grind it there on a rough setting ( I think # 2 above the roughest) that is just enough for me to get really great flavor and keep the ground outta the coffee. Also, I like my coffee really bold - so, it sits there for like 10 mins - I never get ground in my coffee :) 2. When cleaning (a) I life the press halfway, fill it with water, then press is flush to the bottom ... and dump it out. 3. Then (cleaning b) I take a paper towel and put it flat in the sink (this isn't a trauma ... as I usually clean the press last - so the sink is empty) and dispense the coffee ground on top of the paper towel, fold, and put it in the garbage. Some ground do get into the sink ... but really it is like .05% Oh, a final thing ... the first time you try ... remember to put the ground catcher in first ... LOL - that is why I said, my SECOND pot of coffee ... ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
So, I almost wrote this little coffee pot as a complete waste however; I gave it a 2nd chance. The first time I tried it, I used the 12 oz of water and 3 Tbs of coffee with the coffee mug provided. When it was finished brewing there were coffee grounds in the coffee and in the water tank. The coffee pot was a mess and the coffee was undrinkable. IMHO, the amount of water coming out into the coffee compartment was too much/too fast and did not drain fast enough so it over flowed into the water tank and mug. 2nd time I tried it, I used 8 oz of water, 2 Tbs of coffee and used the coffee cup in the pictures I provided. It worked perfect. The coffee was a bit strong so, on my 3rd attempt I’m going with 1.5 Tbs coffee. I also used this to heat the water for tea and it worked great. I gave it 4 stars because of the issues it presents when using 12oz of water. I recommend this coffee pot for 8oz of water.
Small coffee pot come with the little scoop and a reusable filter
When I bought it was supposed to be strictly for when I have guests that drink coffee. But I find myself using it practically every day for my morning tea. It’s fast and easy to use and a breeze to clean. I have a small counter top area and this works perfectly. I bought a sliding tray (also coffeemakers.us.com) and it’s great for tucking it away when not using it. I do recommend you run a few cycles of water through it when first get it, that will eliminate the plastic smell first time using.
Great coffee maker! Takes about 20 minutes to brew a pot, but when you're out camping in the bush it's well worth the wait. Used it this summer to make multiple pots everyday for a week straight and had no issues. Seems to be really good on propane as well. I also bought the Coleman QuikPot stainless steel carafe to go with it as I felt it would hold up much better then the glass pot. Definitely was the most popular item on our camping trip this summer. I look forwarding to using this during the ice fishing season this winter!
I am totally in love with this Mixpresso Single Serve Grind and Brew Coffemaker! I have wanted to try a pod style coffeemaker for a long time, but this is even better! I do t have to give up my favorite coffee brand. I make a pot of coffee every morning, but sometimes I just want a cup in the afternoon. I know I waste so much ground coffee that way because I always make a full pot! This was definitely an exciting new kitchen gadget for me! Easy to use? Yes! Makes good coffee? Yes! Comes with the travel mug? Yes! Can use both ground coffee or coffee beans? Yes! Comes nicely packaged! Definitely giftable! If you are looking for a fun gift for someone, this may just be it! I sure would have loved someone to have given me one! Also, I use it for hot water to make tea and yes, I have even tried using my own mug. Be careful though because it takes 12-14 ounces of water, so you don’t want it to overflow. It’s just as easy to use the insulated mug and pour into your own mug if you want! Safer too! Oh and don’t forget to peel the protective plastic wrap off the stainless drain at the bottom of your new coffeemaker! For a minute, I couldn’t understand why it was white. I probably just needed more coffee! No learning curve here. I didn’t even measure my ground coffee for the first cup and it came out perfect. Great price point and definitely a fun addition to my kitchen. I have added several pictures and videos to help illustrate the points I have made in my review.
I love this pour-over! It’s a time-less, no fuss kitchen tool that’s easy to learn, even for those that don’t have a scale. Comes with a metal mesh filter, so it means not having to buy more paper filters to buy, which I’m into. Cleans easily. Plus, it’s versatile, I’ve even used it as a vase in a pinch, – I know all the coffee purists are rolling their eyes at that one!
This product is so fantastic for making cold brew coffee as I have had probably ten of these or more over the last four years. At some point of course, the filter becomes less than perfect. And if you try to buy Mason jars separately, you'll pay more per piece. The good news is I have extra jars. And extra filters on hand in a pinch. And of course I always put the nation jars to good use! Highly recommended six stars.
This is a poorly made cold brew picture the glass is extremely heavy the plastic top and handle are connected and will break immediately and if you don't put it on just right when you go to lift it up it's going to break on the floor it's going to fall right off and break on the floor just like mine did after 3 days I am so disappointed
This coffee maker is every bit as good as the name brands. I’ve used it regularly over the past month and it has worked consistently to produce good flavored coffee. It’s programmable and I like getting up in the morning having fresh coffee ready. The instructions are easy to read and follow, so there are no issues there. On the side of the coffee maker is a see-through area so you can determine the water level. This helps with measuring ground coffee for coffee/water ratio. I’ve been using 3 heaping scoops of coffee to 8 cups of water for the perfect strength for us. A coffee scoop normally equals 2 tablespoons. The coffee maker has a reusable filter...it will get stained over time...or you can also add a paper filter, if that is your preference. I wash the pot, filter and filter holder in the dishwasher for easy cleanup. I’ve used this coffeemakers.us.com Basics Coffee Maker long enough that I feel confident in assigning it 5 stars.
DO NOT BE FOOLED! So misleading. This is a 9-CUP not a 12-cup capacity that they use in the description, color and pictures. They sell this “12-cup” for $39.99 but it’s actually a 9-cup. They do also sell a 9-cup for $29.99 so if you do purchase a Eurolux Percolator be sure to buy the actual 9-cup so you aren’t overpaying for the same product. So so disappointed.
Daily morning French press coffee. Easy to operate. Well made.
