So I didn't really NEED another coffee maker but I saw this and had to give it a try. I have my main unit in the kitchen, and another one in my home office. What I always wanted and now have was one in the master bathroom so I could wake up and not leave the room to get ready for the day. This is white and I thought it would work well. I was not disappointed. The unit itself is lightweight and has several functions and cup sizes you can choose from. It does a cold brew, which I tested and I thought was good, but I'm not a cold brew person and really love my hot coffee in the morning. This unit works well, brews different size cups and does it fairly quietly and as quick as other brands. I've now brewed several dozen cups with it and still love it. This came with a cool magnetic pod holder that you can see in the picture ( yes, that's my bathroom Echo behind the coffee maker) which I slapped onto the side and it holds 10 pods of your favorite brewed beverage. This is really the feature that sets this apart from other makers as it allows you to store coffee without taking up extra space. Overall, great coffee maker and a welcome addition to my bathroom, although this could go great in a kitchen, office, or anyplace you need a coffee maker. Great value!
I bought this and put five drip cycles through it, and here is my impression, after reading all the reviews and using it. This mini single cup coffer maker does exactly what one should expect for a basic, single serving, drip coffee maker. How long it will last remains to be seen, but it does exactly what it says it will do, which is make a single (about 10 ounce) cup of coffee. It’s very similar in operation to those found in many hotel rooms. After reading the reviews both good and bad, I hope my findings bring some clarity to those wondering if this product will fit their needs. Yes it's lightweight, and yes it's small, as it should be for this type of coffee maker. It's really best for those that want to make a cup or two of coffee a day, or less often, move it out of the way when finished, and be minimalist in size and weight. It does that well. Use it, stow it, take it out when needed. It is very lightweight, especially when not holding water and coffee grounds. It will accommodate most ordinary coffee mugs. In the photos I uploaded, they show a pretty standard sized and typical coffee mug that holds about 12 ounces. It fit just fine, and is 3 1/8” in diameter and 3 3/4” tall. The diameter of your mug should likely be 3 1/4” in diameter or less, or it may not fit well. I have another mug that is 4 7/16” tall and it just brushes the dripper when placed in position. Doable, but any taller and it may be a problem with the fit. If you have an oddly shaped mug, or one that is exceptionally tall, it likely won't fit under the dripper, or on the cup platform. It’s a 10.5 ounce coffee maker. Trying to put a 16 ounce or tall thermal cup in place is not what it was designed for. It's a $15 coffee maker (at time of writing) to make a pretty standard size mug of coffee. It's not the "transformer" model that can adapt to every wish and whim. The placement area for the mug is just that, and seems designed for ordinary coffee mugs. The mug platform does not heat, and will not keep the mug or coffee warm. It’s solely for resting the mug while the coffee drips, and assumes you will drink it promptly while it’s hot. Yes, the dripping coffee will splash with typical sized coffee mugs. The less tall your mug, the more likely it will splash the surface upon which it sits as the coffee drips. It's the way it works for a $15, but useful, single mug, drip coffee maker. This device doesn’t include a coffee pot or splash guard. If that's what you need, don't buy this. However, if you want a cost effective way to make a single cup of coffee, this one works as intended for a good price. Using a bit taller mug than I did, but not over 4 7/16” tall, may help minimize or eliminate the splashes if that is a concern. It isn’t for me, so I didn’t test the splash issue with a taller mug. How fast it brews a cup of coffee is totally dependent on the grind of the coffee and how much you use. Coarse, medium, and espresso grinds in varying amounts will let hot water pass through at different rates. The heating of the water is constant, but how fast it drips is dependent on the coffee grind used and how much. I used two level tablespoons of my store bought medium grind coffee, and it drips out in about 3.5 minutes when filled to the max waterline on the reservoir. If you grind your own coffee, and use less or more coffee grinds, your drip time will be different. All the control on drip rate is in your hands. In my tests on this unit, I found that the heating element does in fact turn itself off after all the water is boiled off. Some reviews said it doesn't turn off. My testing is explained below. The heating element does turn off on my unit when all the water is boiled off, but the power switch indicator light stays lit. It seems the indicator light is simply to let you know the power switch is on, and the unit is plugged in. I assume this will be the same on other units of the same model. After brewing a cup, and all the last burps and gurgling of evaporating water have passed, I heard a click. I figured that was some kind of relay that sensed that the water was gone. To establish this, I put a "Kill A Watt" metering device on the power cord to measure the amps used and ran some plain water though a drip cycle. The three photos uploaded show the meter at zero amps when the unit is plugged in but the switch is off. It shows 3.01 amps drawn when heating the water. After all the water has boiled off, and the click was heard, the amps dropped to zero again, though the switch indicator light remains on. The light seems to be a status light of the switch, not the status of the heating element. At least that's how my unit works. Note that like all drip coffee makers, even after all the water has boiled off, there will be the occasional drip that will land on the cup holder after you removed your mug. In the tests I did, the accumulated drips on the mug area ranged between the size of a nickle and quarter. Dab it up if desired, or let it evaporate. I don’t know the longevity of this device, but I will update if it dies what I consider an early death for a $15 device. For now, I am pleased that this works as described at an affordable price.
This thing is like the little pink bunny of coffee makers it keeps going going going. This is actually my second one I had bought one when I was living in an Airbnb and then I thought I would never needed it again so I sold it, boy was I wrong. This thing is used multiple times a day, and it has been cleaned once in the last year. It’s simply use it easy to add water to and it just makes a good cup of coffee perfect for the office.
I very rarely write a negative review but after the experience I had with customer service, I find it impossible not to. Customer service is almost non-existent. When I finally got through to them by phone, all I got was double-talk. A bit of background: Breville used to be a great company. My go-to for small appliances. Customer service was wonderful. I contacted them 9 years ago when my Keurig brewer stopped functioning to find out where to send it for service. The unit was 7 or 8 years out of warranty and they sent me a brand new unit, no questions asked. Current issues: Issue 1: My Precision Brewer has a consistent musty/moldy smell after many descaling attempts. I have taken very good care of it and descaled on schedule in the past. I contacted customer service via the Breville USA website on 2/28. They responded and asked questions such as when I descaled last, what I used to so etc. I responded immediately. No response for two weeks. I had to send an inquiry to the support site to get them to respond. Someone responded with more questions last week. I answered. Received a response today with duplicate questions and more ridiculous questions. They even asked me what kind of coffee I used and what the date was on the bag. I answered and got fed up and called customer service. Let them know that issues I was having with emailing service as well as the issues with my unit. They asked what I used to descale (This was the third time over the entire experience). I told them descaling solution and water and a weak solution of vinegar and water the last time as I was not hearing back from customer service and I wanted to use the brewer. They told me vinegar was too strong and that I should only ever use water in this particular machine. They were very adamant about this. I was put on hold for 15 minutes after which they told me they needed me to try their powder de-scaling solution, which I've tried before and to let them know how that works. 15 minutes before I was told rather rudely that only water should be used. I have a feeling if I would have stated that descaling solution was used they would have told me that was wrong. Issue 2: The paint on the heating plate is peeling and rusting. This unit cost 299.00 and Breville USED to be a high-end brand that I trusted. I was told that this was a cosmetic defect caused by the acidity of the coffee so the damage would not be covered. I let her know that I consistently wipe the plate after use. Why on Earth would they use these materials if they coffee would peel and corrode them. It's a coffee maker. I can honestly say that I have never experienced such shoddy service. It seemed that they would have argued with any answer I gave them. Attitude was that whatever issue I was having it could not have possible their fault and I feel they were trying to get out of providing me with warranty service. I will never buy from Breville again, which is a shame because I previously loved this brand. I am going to shop with a different brand in the future. Please save yourself an unbelievable amount of annoyance and do not buy this brewer. It's pretty, but not for long!
This is my first single cup coffee maker and I am very happy with it. I've been using it about a week. You can use it both with K-Cups or ground coffee. It's simple to use with just one on/off switch. It warms and brews a cup very quickly. It is easy to clean. Mostly I like that it's a very small footprint on my counter.
This is really a great machine 👏 there's plenty variety of ☕️ and the flavor can't be beat. the brew speaks for itself 🙌. The press button to open and close is a really nice feature and the fact there's an easy to detach pod disposal in the back is a feature I didn't know I needed until this 😱. Really brilliant, simple and effective. They really utilized the space to keep this machine compact and easy to fit in small spaces. The frother: does an excellent job with steamed milk however I've noticed the cold foam isn't as effective. I may be missing something here but the option I can have hot or cold either way is fantastic. Overall I'm new to nespresso machines/pods but have had many other coffee machines mostly Kurig. The nespresso pods are more pricy but essentially you get what u pay for and quality coffee is important to me. Worth every penny
It is a functional unit. Was happy until the holder ring broke. Didn’t use much till winter. Passed 30d and no way to return.
We purchased the product exactly 3 weeks ago. It made great coffee during the first week. However, it started overflowing while brewing two cups of coffee afterward. The bottom changed color as shown in the photo. It no longer makes coffee like it did at the beginning. I am not satisfied with it.
When I first took it out of the package I was a little worried about breaking it because the glass is very thin and delicate. But after almost a week of using it those worries are gone. The stand is very sturdy. I love the look it adds to my kitchen/dining room!
Two weeks of use, and the paint is already peeling off of the heating element under the carafe. Everything else is working fine.
I make Cold Brew Iced Tea
I loved this press. I always hand wash and once a small piece chip it just all comes off in large portions. Totally bummed.
This one cup coffee maker is great, easy to use and fast. I always had 8 cup coffee makers but the one cup is so much better and fresher.
I like it makes my coffee fast
I recently purchased this 3-in-1 Portable Espresso Maker from coffeemakers.us.com, and I am beyond impressed! The sleek and compact design makes it perfect for travel, work, or even just quick espresso at home. What I Love: ✔ Convenience & Portability – Lightweight, easy to carry, and fits perfectly in my bag. ✔ Easy to Use – Just a double-click to heat water and a long press to extract – super simple! ✔ Great Build Quality – The design feels premium, and the materials are sturdy. ✔ USB Charging – No need for a bulky power cord; the USB charging feature is so practical. ✔ Perfect Espresso – Delivers rich and flavorful espresso with a good crema. Room for Improvement: • The water heating takes a few minutes, but that’s expected for a portable device. • A larger battery capacity would be great for multiple servings without recharging. Overall, this is an excellent purchase for anyone who loves espresso on the go. If you’re looking for a portable and efficient coffee maker, this is the one! ☕✨
