From a functional perspective having the convenience to be able to use both K-cups and the original Nespresso caps is very nice. However, certain Nespresso capsules did not play nicely and would stick or not function effectively leaving behind a mess to clean up. Fortunately I learned early which brand were the main offenders and adjusted my purchasing accordingly. The big downside with this model is the lack of durability and as experienced by other users the case began to crack after a year of use. See images. As such I cannot recommend this model until improvements are made to eliminate this defect.

BUYER BEWARE!!!!!!! I have used this coffee maker for for my morning coffee since Dec 16th, 2015. This morning I made my usual morning coffee, but the carafe was cracked and I ended up with coffee all over my counter. Called coffeemakers.us.com this morning to see if I could order a replacement carafe. Found out that my purchase of this coffee maker on Dec 16th, 2015, was fulfilled by coffeemakers.us.com for the reasonable price of $79.98. To replace this coffee maker from their third party vendor today would cost $499.95. What a ripoff! This coffee maker is not a commercial coffee maker. This coffee maker has no special bells and whistles . It is a basic coffee maker that in addition to making coffee, it mixes in the half and half or creamer with the coffee in the carafe. I questioned the woman with customer service about this over inflated price . She informed me that this is the third party venders list price and yes it is outrageous!!!!! Again, BUYER BEWARE!!!!!

This Cuisinart coffee maker does a great job at making small batches of drip coffee. Small meaning 1-4 mugs/cups of coffee. I also liked the LED that illuminates when your brew if fully heated up. No lukewarm coffee. What I didn’t like about this maker is how many loose parts there are to assemble and keep track of. Our old drip coffee machine had just 3 parts…..The carafe, the carafe lid, and the filter basket. This Cuisinart machine has about 10 pieces to the puzzle. Some are options like the screen vs. filter option. And a charcoal water filter (purchased separately). But even the filter basket is 3 parts and the water reservoir is another 3 parts that have to be assembled. So it adds to the cleaning of the machine after use. The coffee was good but the cleaning and storage not so much. I give this machine a “C+” grade.

  • Stylish design, good coffee but the finish on the coffee pot handle is peeling after just a month and a half. Have sent the necessary documentation to the company...still waiting for a response.

I love this coffeemaker. I have had it for MANY years (about 10 years now) and it continues to make excellent great-tasting coffee. I will continue to use it and am ordering one for my sister who uses those annoying expensive little coffee cups that have no flavor compared to my brewed coffee in the Mr Coffee coffee maker. I LOVE LOVE LOVE the auto off in one hour. Other pots don't have this feature nor do they have the pause feature where you can pour a cup of coffee and it does not continue to brew, spilling coffee everywhere, until you put the pot back in. I lOVE that also! You can also set the coffee maker to brew at whatever time you want. I absolutely live for my morning coffee and this is a perfect coffee maker.

  • There’s no lead. I saw a review that said this French press somehow had lead below the sticker on the bottom. It was the only thing that kept me from buying it. As you can see from the picture the sticker is removed and… no lead. It’s just flat stainless steel. By the way, coffee out of this thing is fantastic. It filters like no other French press out there, and makes the best cup of coffee I’ve ever had. You can go crazy with your grinder—get down to near extra fine grinds and still not see a single grain in your pour. It’s like a chemex without the fuss. I saw complaints that you lose about a bit of coffee at the bottom to the filter, but it’s literally less than a sip’s worth. I make a tall 16oz cup of coffee for my partner and I, never noticed it. Fantastic product, would buy again but I’m pretty sure I won’t have to, it’s built like a tank.

    Good cooffee maker

  • Very compact Nespresso machine, and easy to use and clean; coffee was brewing very fast, much better than some k-cup machine. The noise is acceptable, not annoying; then only drawback is the size of water tank, and there are two open holes, therefore you can’t filled the whole tank. However, this is for espresso, small water tank is not small for espresso. Love it!

Just wasted a Kpod. Come on Cuisinart. Your original model worked well.

The Breville Grind Control is an EXCELLENT coffee machine first and foremost. The controls, grind capabilities, and construction of the machine ooze quality. If fresh ground coffee in noticeably varying degrees of strength is what you're after, this thing delivers. Thoughtful touches like an included cleaning brush and a space for extra tall containers (like travel mugs) elevate the design further. However, while the machine is super easy to clean - it requires a tooooon of water to do so as you have to clean both the reusable (which is a huge plus - thank you Breville) filter basket and the brewing assembly it sits in. I definitely feel bad every time I clean the thing out but this might just be the unavoidable side effect of a machine like this. The big miss with this product comes not with the machine itself but with its included carafe. While just as premium feeling and effective at keeping your coffee hot as the machine is - getting your coffee OUT of the carafe is a different story. Because of how the insulated metal part of the carafe is shaped, you have to turn the thing basically upside down to get anything out of it (see included image - there's 5 cups in there) even when its pretty full. This leads to leakages and a torrent of really hot coffee potentially overwhelming the cup you're trying to get it in. The carafe and water usage during regular cleaning aside however, this is far and away the best coffee we've had out of a (mercifully small) machine and we're confident it will last many many years of daily use.
